"Otterbein Lebanon SeniorLife Community was great. I wanted to go there right away. It's huge. It's amazing. They have a lot of people, so it's pretty hard to get in. They are building more houses or villas. Everybody was very nice and it seemed like all the residents were happy. I looked at the condos, and I was gonna get one of those. I could not afford the houses. They had apartments, too, but I didn't want one. They had crafts, water exercise, walking, and exercising. They were having meal testing that day, and we got to partake in that, so that was fun. The food was excellent. The facility was very nice."

"Aaron's Garden Senior Living & Memory Care was beautiful. It was great. There was nothing wrong with the community, but we wanted a single apartment for my father. We did not want a bedroom where he would walk out into the hallway. It was a beautiful setup. He loved it as far as if he was at that point to go there at a different time, yes, but not at this stage in his life. The people during the tour were very pleasant. It's very clean. The common areas were very pleasant."

"My wife is in Legacy, and they're taking good care of her. She's got a nice private room, and they've got a nice social area. She's out there with other people, so she's not in her room by herself all the time. Most of the women are out there as well, and I like it. We've had my wife in a few other places short term, and the food at Legacy is not better than any other place I've been in. I eat dinner with my wife every night, and I told them, "I'm gonna be here every night, just put it on the bill," and they said OK. They keep her changed. I just got here and they took her back to her room and made sure she had on dry panties. They're taking real good care of her, and I'm very pleased. They treat me real nice as well. We're used to eating in very good restaurants though. The food here is not that good, but it's decent, it's not the same thing every night, it's got a nice variety, and I'm always satisfied with it. I get enough to eat, and so does she."

"I lived at Wright Place. It's senior independent living. I lived there for a couple of years a while back. I still go out about once a week to visit. It's a very wonderful place. The Wright Place is an apartment complex. There are three floors, a little over 100 units that's there. It's just the edge of town in a nice, rural atmosphere. I enjoyed being there, and if I had a chance, I might go back. The only thing: there are no garages. They have a nice parking lot, but your car is outside, and we have some severe winters in Ohio. They have a beauty salon, a computer room, and a library. They have a lot of nice events for the residents. They have crafts-type things. They have a Bible study. About once a week or so, they have a service with a lot of singing. A lot of residents like to sing. Very pleasant. Some of the people I've known through the years are residents at Wright Place and they enjoy it. "

"My relative is staying at Trinity. It is a very nice place. They are very caring and kind. They give us a private dining room when we have dinner with her. She at first was in assisted living, but now she is in independent living. She is taking trips every week, participates in the exercise classes, and drinks the coffee they have in the morning. She is becoming adjusted. "

"Trinity Community at Fairwood (Formerly Fairwood Village Senior Apartment Complex) is excellent. The staff is super nice. My sister does her own cooking. It's very nice and very clean. It's a good place and it's in a very good location. They have an exercise room, a big living area where they have card games and tournaments, they do potluck, they celebrate everyone's birthday, and they have a nurse that comes in and does blood pressure and checks things once or twice a week."

"I'm moving to Lakeview Senior Apartments. I have already put a deposit down and everything. They have things that I need. They have a walk-in shower there, and they have a washer and dryer in the apartment. It is much better. They have handicapped accessible doors. It's very nice. The staff are very nice people. The staff member told me they have a couple of activities. She said every Friday or Saturday night they get together, a small group of them for a meal in the evening. It has a lot of things. It has walk-in showers, it has grab bars, and it has all that stuff. They don't provide food; I have to buy my own food. That's one thing it doesn't include, but it includes everything else. It's very nice there."

"I toured Dogwood Commons. It was laid out well. It looked like a good interim step where you've got a big house, maybe 2200 square feet, and you're going back to 1500, but it had not only two bedrooms but also two bedrooms and a den. It had all the appliances except a washer and dryer. It had a two-car garage. The staff was friendly and forthright. The building is brand new, very modern, and nice."

"We visited the assisted living facility of The Ashford of Beavercreek a year and a half ago. It was actually my favorite, but my parents don't want to live out in Beavercreek. I love the layout of the apartments. It was very nice. Of course, it was brand new then, so they didn't even have a full staff when we went and were still working on a lot of things. The woman who took us around was very informative, very nice, and friendly. The facility is beautiful. I would live there myself."

"I moved into Homestead Village Beavercreek. It was a very clean facility. They are still on construction, and they haven't completed the whole village yet. They have a place where they're hiring for a hairstylist, so they can have somebody come in. They offer a craft center where you can go and work on crafts. They have a chapel where right now, they're looking to have some Bible studies to be held there. They have a post office center where your mailboxes are. They have an information center with computers where you can log on to pay your rent and or any type of business with the Homestead Village. They have free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. They have a TV room. They have bingo once a week. They have a banquet hall where you can hold any type of banquet. It's a secured building, so at five o'clock, it's locked up for not allowing public access. Each apartment has a little kitchenette. It comes at a total amount of your rent for your utilities, gas, electric, internet, and cable TV. The staff was very friendly."

"My mom has been at St. Leonard’s, and I think it’s wonderful. She has been there a couple of times like once for about four weeks in the Spring and four weeks in the fall, and we had a very good experience there. I thought it was a very clean facility, and my mom seemed to like the food. The staff was very good, kind, and caring as well. "

"I found One Lincoln Park for someone and I really liked it. The people are friendly, amenities are good, and food is very good. My only problem is there's a lot of walking. There is a dining room and a bistro where you can get sandwiches at 1:00. The dining room is open at noon and in the evening. They have all kinds of exercises and activities. They have an exercise room and housekeeping. One thing that takes the worry off of me is that residents wear a necklace with a button around their necks that they can push to get help. They have to push the button every day by 11:00 or they come to check in on them. "

"My parents are in Bethany Village. It’s fantastic, and I’ve been blown away by how they handled everything. It was a very modern facility, it has been updated, it has open spaces, and lots of windows. It’s contemporary in its décor. They have a gym, two restaurants, it overlooks a big lake, it has a computer lab, and it has a big conference rooms for different activities."

"Pristine Senior Living and Post-Acute Care of Dayton-Centerville (Liberty Retirement Community) is not as good as many others. The rooms are nice enough. The care is pretty decent, but they don’t have enough help. They have activities for their residents like outings and groups of people coming in for entertainment."
