"Rooms are very nice. Bright and cheery with big windows. Bathroom is spacious enough to move around with a walker or wheelchair but not too big. Soooo many activities to choose from that stimulate the brain and body, from chair yoga, and drumming to music and animal therapy. We ate with Mom a few times and the meals and selections are wonderful. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We are at peace with this decision."

"Aaron's Garden Senior Living & Memory Care was beautiful. It was great. There was nothing wrong with the community, but we wanted a single apartment for my father. We did not want a bedroom where he would walk out into the hallway. It was a beautiful setup. He loved it as far as if he was at that point to go there at a different time, yes, but not at this stage in his life. The people during the tour were very pleasant. It's very clean. The common areas were very pleasant."

"My sister-in-law was staying at Otterbein Lebanon SeniorLife Community. I like the availability of the staff. The staff was attentive to my sister-in-law when she was there for three weeks. The facility is clean, comforting, and inviting. They have restaurants, a hairdresser, and little stores on site. It was more like the feeling of an indoor village versus just a nursing home or assisted living property. They had things to encompass everything that you need, whatever the stage of your need is."

"I toured Beehive Homes of Liberty Township. I liked the fact that they were small-scale. I felt like if I'd been there I could have gotten more one-on-one and more personal attention. It was a very clean facility. The staff was very caring. I have no experience with them, but just from what I observed, they seemed nice and caring."

"My apartment at Biltmore Towers Senior Living is OK, not something I would brag about. It’s a one-bedroom apartment that is good enough for one person. The maintenance crew is really nice. The manager of the place can be a little bit snooty. They don’t provide the meals, but they do have bingo. "

"I liked One Lincoln Park because it's close to where I live so I'm already familiar with the area. It's an independent living and there wasn't anything I didn't like about it. I liked the location and the manager who gave me the tour did a very good job of explaining the amenities there and everything they have to offer. She took me out for a tour of the grounds too. I like the facility and the feel of it. They're also pet-friendly. They have a courtyard and during my visit, there were a lot of people outside walking or sitting on benches. They had a barbershop and a salon."

"Suites at Walnut Creek is very clean, has very caring staff, and is affordable. We told them what our budget was, and they're able to meet it. They have a secured assisted living, the food is restaurant-style, and it's fairly decent. I would have no hesitations for recommending it. I've been very pleased with it. "

"Harmony Mobile Home Park is the most wonderful place to live. My neighbor from down the street just brought me dinner; we help each other and take each other to the store. It’s like a little family down here. I have 2 parakeets that have a cage right in front of the window and they just love it. They have a nice office and the ladies get down there and play cards. You do have to pay your lot rent which is a little over $300 a month and then you pay all your utilities. We get discounts on our natural gas. Everybody has to keep their place nice and if you don’t mow your lawn when it’s getting too high, you get told by the manager it’s time to mow your lawn. They want to make everything look real nice and they do a good job of it. We just got a new owner. None of us liked the old owners because they were a pain in the neck but I think this gentleman is going to be quite fair with us. We’d only have much crime around here. They’d robbed the bank one time and some guy just got out of jail. He picked out the first trailer, knocked on the door, tied up the lady and took her car but they had it back within 45 minutes. The cops caught him right away. "

"The staff at Brookview Place were very helpful and the tenants were great. I had a one bedroom apartment with a full patio from the bedroom to the living room. It also had a storage area, entry hall, kitchen and a pretty good closet space. There were a lot of activities to keep you occupied like bingo twice a month, auctions and prom in June. It had a very homey and very friendly environment. I enjoyed being there and I was very happy. I would really recommend this place. "

"Bethany Lutheran Village was very nice and very comprehensive. They have all levels of service, they have all styles from apartments to cottages, and they have all levels of caring from independent to assisted living to Alzheimer's unit. They will take care of you no matter what happens as you progress down to the final part of your life. It was spotless. I did not try the food, but I have talked to people who have, and they say it's very good. In the independent living sections, there are several dining rooms, and they have chefs that have been trained in New York and so forth and so on, and they do a wonderful variety and tasty menu for the residents. "

"It was very nice and homey. I know that they provide transportation for the citizens who are able to go to the stores or any of their appointments if needed. The staff was very nice and professional. The rooms were very nice, and they were like apartments. "

"Pristine Senior Living and Post-Acute Care of Dayton-Centerville (Liberty Retirement Community) is not as good as many others. The rooms are nice enough. The care is pretty decent, but they don’t have enough help. They have activities for their residents like outings and groups of people coming in for entertainment."

"We didn't see very much at Kettering Health Senior Living. I have visited friends who have a home there. It is senior living. That was the best pricing. They had condominiums. They had everything. We saw an apartment in the independent living. They had one that someone had just moved out of, and it had not been cleaned, but the lady said that if we want an idea of what the apartments were like, we could see it. Living there would be a little hard for me, because the rooms were smaller, and every house there is different. It's not a cookie cutter, but it's individual housing. My friend's mother lives there, and I've been to her house several times, and it's a very nice house. They just got mixed up. We had an appointment there and the person that we had an appointment with had double booked herself. So another person took us around and she just kind of worked us in and did as best she could. She did a good job. She represented and told us information. They gave us the brochure at the desk. They gave us the information and it has all of the pricing in there, and the services that they provide. They provide very good services, and even though it's a Seventh-day Adventist, they still provide respect for your religious faith. They provided spiritual services and we liked that. They even provided concierge services. They're far above and beyond on some of their things. The facility was immaculate. They took care of everything. You are just right there with the hospital. All medical services are there for you, which is a big factor for seniors. It looked like they were very caring, and they provided for anything you needed, physically and spiritually."
