Rooms are spacious and bright. Food is excellent, according to mom. Staff is attentive but difficult to find on weekends and evenings. We were told front door is locked at 8p, but found it is locked at 7p…wish someone would have told us about the change.

I'm going to be a resident of StoryPoint West Milton. It's the biggest place for the money. It's the nicest, and it is relatively new, but it's gonna be expanding. This is a nice two-bedroom, two-bath cottage. They don't provide meals, but they have a meal plan, which will work out great. I like the people I've met so far. I have to have a garage because I still have a wood workshop, and they have a really nice, beautiful two-car garage. It's just great. They're all expensive, and this is not the most expensive one I looked at. It's still, no matter what, going to be hard to afford, but I think I can do it. The staff who gave the tour was wonderful. They get together once a month for movie night or barbecues, they have a rec center, and they have entertainment. It's kind of in their country, which is what I prefer. I don't like living in the city. I'm going to talk to them about possibly letting me have a small garden, and I can share my vegetables with the kitchen. The cottages are separate. They were built kind of like a star. There are four cottages that connect with the garages, and we're set off by ourselves. We have our own little patio and everything. The main building is about four blocks away. They have an exercise room, an activity center, and activities. They're more geared to the people living in that particular building, but we can attend them if we wish. I met five of the staff. They were friendly and answered the questions I had. They were concerned about my concerns. They were great. They will not provide meals, but I can buy a meal ticket, which is quite reasonable. You buy a package. It's 10 meals for $90, and if you buy the package, they give you five more meals. So for $90, it'd be 14 meals. I don't have to eat there every day. I can eat only at breakfast, at lunch, or at dinner, or all three meals. I can use them as I want, and the food smelled great.

Rooms are very nice. Bright and cheery with big windows. Bathroom is spacious enough to move around with a walker or wheelchair but not too big. Soooo many activities to choose from that stimulate the brain and body, from chair yoga, and drumming to music and animal therapy. We ate with Mom a few times and the meals and selections are wonderful. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We are at peace with this decision.
