Dogwood Commons is a beautiful community, and it has amenities. They have a billiard room and a room for cards or for puzzles, if you care to do either one of those. They keep you posted on things that are going on in the community. They have large rooms. They have a one-bedroom or a two-bedroom. The one-bedroom has a small room where you can put a desk and whatever. Both have a large front porch and a patio. The staff was very friendly, very welcoming.

I've moved to Dogwood Commons, a 55-and-over community. I went with it because of its neighborhood and area. I like that it's a one-story apartment and it has an attached garage. My apartment is a 1-bedroom with an office, and it's 1200 square feet. The staff members are very good people and very knowledgeable. It's independent living, so we prepare our own food. For activities, we play Euchre and walk every day within the community.

I toured Dogwood Commons. It was laid out well. It looked like a good interim step where you've got a big house, maybe 2200 square feet, and you're going back to 1500, but it had not only two bedrooms but also two bedrooms and a den. It had all the appliances except a washer and dryer. It had a two-car garage. The staff was friendly and forthright. The building is brand new, very modern, and nice.
