"I went to Serenity Manor. It's a home with a max of six residents. They have two owners, and one of them lives there. She lives in the upstairs apartment. There is always two to three staff, so you have a great ratio of staff to residents. Currently, none of the residents are ambulatory. Most of them are advanced dementia patients and need to be lifted with a Hoyer. Right now, it's not ideal for them, but that's what they're getting. Right now, advanced memory care is what they're getting now. I couldn't even talk to the patients because they were so demented. It's a higher level of care and a lot of one-on-one. I think one of the rooms is shared. It's extremely clean. When you walk in, you were in the kitchen common area. Off to the right are the dining room and the living room, and then behind the kitchen is an L-shaped hallway with bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, too. It's very clean and very nice. If I had somebody who needed 24-hour care like that, that'd be great. I was impressed with the staff, too. "

"My mom has been here since April and for several months I was extremely happy with the facility, the staff was great when it came to the care of the residents. The only problem I had in the beginning was missing clothes and shoes. Recently the staff and administrators have changed and not for the better, I don’t understand why the change because the old staff was the best, no one is hardly available to address my concerns and the nursing staff is not as professional like the old staff which I wish could come back. At this point I’m looking for a new facility especially since they have increased their fees $200.00 and their services are no longer worth it. The only thing that is consistent from the time my mom moved in would be the activity director Bridgit, she is amazing and has my mother very active. It saddens me to see this beautiful place and staff in the beginning to change so drastically to the point I’m removing my mother from her comfort zone but I can’t keep her there. We had a life scare and Jatonya noticed she wasn’t breathing right called ems which I was told had it been any later she wouldn’t be here today. She is no longer there and that’s sad she was excellent at her job and I don’t feel this new staff are as attentive as the old staff, while I visit no one comes and check on her which they never know when we visit for this unhappiness I feel now she’s going to leave as soon as I find another happy place. I’m so sad to do this to my mom but the only thing to keep her there would be to return the old staff completely"

"The tour I had at American House Westland Hunter was with Cassandra. It was good. She was very thorough. She called back for communication purposes. She tried to help us one million percent and was very passionate about trying to help us, but it just didn't work out. She was just really good. When you first walked in, the facility was very clean. They were renovating when I was there. So, they were renovating the floors my relative would have been on. The apartment they showed us was very clean and the main floor was clean. The elevators could have been cleaner. Some of the other floors in the hallway could have been a little better, but they weren't bad. Again, there was a renovation, so I can't say. There was painting and stuff, so there wasn't a lot they could do."

"My husband really likes American House Livonia. The food is excellent. He keeps bragging about how good the food is. It's been a week, but he's getting used to everything. I like the facility. They just did some remodeling and some painting to freshen up the place. Everything's good. The apartments are really nice. I'm satisfied. They provide a wide range of activities. A couple of times a month, they do outings with the residents. There's a group that play cards, they do trivia and all sorts of activities, and every day they have something scheduled. The staff is really nice. I have no complaints. I looked at a lot of places, but for the money, I thought it was well worth it."

"Tranquility Senior Living was more expensive and a little higher in my price range, but it was a nice and clean facility. The staff was also nice, informative, and helpful. They were really good. They told me about some other facilities that would probably be more in my price range. The facility didn't smell bad. The outside was nice. There was a garden in the front and I remember seeing flowers and a patio. The dining room was nice. Some of the residents were sitting in there with the staff."

"The Westland House was the first place I went to and it was very clean. Wanda took me around and she was very helpful. She explained everything to me and from looking at it, it was nice. I liked that everything was included with the fee. My father will get his own room, and meals, they will wash his sheets, and provide physical therapy (if needed). They have movie nights, bingo, card games, and a lot of stuff that my father likes to do. They will give him his medication and if needed, they will go, get him and bring him to the activities. They also have church services."

"The rooms here did have a patio that led outside to a courtyard so my parents could let the dog out and that was important to us. The facility was beautiful. The staff really seemed to know the residents well, like the person who toured us knew the people in the building and they knew her. The residents were coming up and talking to me and telling me about living there. It seemed very homey. They had a salon and a library."

"It was quiet, small, very serene, and very inviting. It's by far my favorite. The rooms were clean and comfy. The staff was exceptionally helpful, clear, and concise. I never felt like she was trying to sell me on the place. She even told me about other options. She's very welcoming and friendly. They had activities planned, but I got the feeling that it was a quieter place. Probably the biggest amenity they have was a fall detection system."

"The medical team and all the staff have everything covered. From the housekeeping and everything, they're all-inclusive. So far, the staff is pleasant and informing. My mother's room is almost complete, they've done some work with the painting and everything so things are almost in order. They're starting to do a few activities but they're still on lockdown because of the virus."

"Best Assisted Living center ever. The facility is a home, with 6 hospital beds. Dora makes the residents and family visiting feel like family. My sister had stage four cirrhosis of the liver. We came to Blessed Assisted Living for Hospice care. My sister was always clean and feed. I told my children if I ever need Hospice, Re-Habilitation, or Assisted living please take me here. I thank GOD ever night that I found Blessed Assisted Living. "

"It was immaculate. I loved their Villas. I loved the facilities and the apartments that they had to offer. I liked their locations and the feel of the place. Their staff was truly excellent. I really adored them. They were really warm and very receptive. I would recommend them to others. "
