We cannot say enough about this great place. We toured 9 Assisted Living centers. From the moment we stepped into building we were able to feel the love. Kristina the regional director helped us as the director was off for the day. Spending over 2 hours with us, she explained everything about the place and what we could expect. She toured the branch and showed us different styles of apartments to ensure that we chose the perfect one. We never felt rushed, just reassured. After we made the choice of Bickford, she gave us her cell number and even answered it after 7 at night, offering us peace of mind that we made the right choice in Bickford. Catrina the nurse is so knowledgeable and her bedside manner far exceeds what we could have expected. She made sure that everything went smoothly after discharge from a very stressful rehab stay. The manager in the kitchen is kind and to really cares what Dad liked and did not like. Everyone we had contact with was amazing. The building is beautiful, clean and has festive decorations that feel as if you are at home. Thank you Bickford you have made a forever lasting impression on us. We are forever grateful.

We found Bickford of Canton for my dad and we're very happy with it. We liked it, so we're going through the process now. I liked all the people I've seen out. The activities looked like they were well-suited. I liked the cleanliness. It was a nice place, and they served great food. The apartment had a little kitchenette, a microwave, a sink, and a walk-in closet. It's a 2-room apartment, actually, and it was nice. The staff was very nice and very knowledgeable, gave me lots of information, and he did very well. They also had a nice courtyard there.

My mom is at Bickford and I was thinking of moving her out in May. Things were difficult with a change in leadership and I was worried it may not turn around. I am happy to say in just the last 2 weeks I have noticed a huge difference. The building is getting to feel like home again. I can see the joy returning on the residents faces and the new managers are really nice. Catreina always has time to talk and never rushes me. She knows my mom and her medications. The new staff are so kind, the housekeeper is great at her job and actually wanted to know who my mom is. Thank you Bickford.

My dad is in Bickford of Canton right now and it's a beautiful place. They have wonderful food there. The thing is just the care. They don't have enough help. It's very upsetting. The surroundings and the grounds are beautiful, but the price just keeps going up and up. I understand inflation, but this is ridiculous. These are people who have worked all their lives. I'm not looking for money for my father. I'm trying to take care of my father with his money. They need more help. It was not this way when I first got my father there. I don't know what's truly going on, but they've been losing people left and right and I don't like the feeling. I know they're concerned, but the thing is if you can't get people to work, there's nothing you can do about it. They can't get it to turn around. They do bingo a lot and you can see that the residents are tired. Like they're all ready to go to bed. They have a salon and a physical therapy room.

Bickford of Canton is nice. I liked it a lot. I think it would be my first choice. It's family-focused and pet friendly like they don't mind visiting dogs. They have studios and apartments. They're on the smaller side, and that's partly because they encourage residents to get out. There are lots of activities. There are lots of little socialization places as well as bigger ones. There's a door to the apartment, but once you're in the apartment, there are no doors, so managing a wheelchair or going around in the wheelchair, you don't have to worry about a door. I found it weird, but at the same time, it makes sense. They take trips into the community. They have transportation that will take you places. They'll go to the symphony or go to a local play. It kind of gives everybody a chance to get out. There are lots of activities, probably more than any of the other ones I saw. The staff were great. They were wonderful. It was clean and homey, and everybody seemed to be happy.

We looked at Bickford of Canton yesterday. It seemed very clean and very focused on the patients. Everyone there including the staff and several of the residents that we saw seemed very happy and very friendly. Everyone seemed to know each other's names. The staff that we talked to were extremely helpful. We're in a rush to move mom from the hospital, and Michelle has been excellent in getting back with us and getting someone out to the hospital on the same day to evaluate mom. The studio seemed very clean and well maintained. We went through the dining area during lunchtime and we saw how they were having restaurant-style lunch. They walked us through and explained the different activities. The outdoor space seemed pretty nice, it wasn't huge but it's secure. So you can get into it from two different doors, but you can't leave it. They also had a very small vegetable garden.

We went to Bickford of Canton The only negative we had there were the rooms were small and not well lit. My domestic partner wants a room that has light coming through the windows so he can see light and dark. The light is very important to him and the room. Unfortunately, the bigger room with the windows wasn't available, so the smaller room didn't appeal to him at all. But Michelle who is the community relations director, is just top-notch in spending time understanding his needs. She was sensitive, she was diligent, and she took great notes. She fed back information, she paid attention to everything he said. We probably should have thought a little more carefully that this was farther from his doctors and farther from family. It wasn't a good pick for us, but for anybody else, I would highly recommend it. The facility is wonderful, the dining room is beautiful, and the outdoor patio is phenomenal. It would be a wonderful place to sit and be outdoors. They serve food outdoors. They have barbecues in the summer. One of the things that he liked was there were a lot of little places, little corners where people could gather in small groups and talk, or read a book or listen to audiobooks. There were several people doing that. He liked that, it was the individual room that was a drawback for him. We saw the menus. We talked to the kitchen staff and the chef, and we talked to several people and they said the food was wonderful. We just didn't have a meal.

I toured Bickford of Canton and had a very good experience. It was a beautiful place. They were very helpful in explaining all their different services. We walked around the assisted living and memory care and were able to see that they were actively doing their services. The rooms were very clean and appropriate for the residents' needs. They provide 24/7 assistance and some activities to engage with the residents. Some were playing cards while some were doing some memory activities in another section.

I completed my tour at Bickford of Canton. It's a very nice place. The people looked very friendly. The people that I saw that lived there looked very content. It is warm, inviting, and clean. The staff who gave me the tour was very friendly, and she had a great presentation. The rooms were spacious. I wasn't able to see any of the actual rooms in memory care because of COVID. She said those were smaller, which I assumed they were anyway. They looked nice and clean, and everything looked great. The dining area was very bright and clean. I did not try any food.

Bickford of Canton was amazing. Michelle toured me around and she is the community relations director. She was respectful, knowledgeable, and approachable. She took detailed notes about my father's needs before we ever toured the facility to find out what exactly I would be interested in. She wasn't trying to sell me on anything and wasn't wasting my time. She listened very carefully to what my needs were so she could target the tour to exactly what I needed to see. Their menu options surpassed anything of any other facility that I've toured. It was so detailed and almost like I was going to a restaurant. The decor was very modern, elegant yet so cozy and comfortable. It was like being in a home away from home. They have a library facility and multiple small sections spread around the campus where residents can either read peacefully or mingle. The courtyard is also impeccable. Just every single place that I saw was warm and inviting. This would be a place that I would want to go to if and when I make it to that age.

When we visited Bickford of Canton, the executive director met us because the marketing person was off that day; that was very nice. It was a relatively new facility, very clean, and seemed to have decent sized room. We like the size of it and the fact that it was a smaller facility because we had looked at some facilities with over 200 residents. We like the fact this one only had 40. Those were the main points that we took from it, and the pricing seemed reasonable for what you got. The staff were all very nice. Masks were required; I think that was the main thing at the time. They had limited access too. They had to key you in and out, so visitors weren't just going to wander in; it was good.

I toured Bickford of Canton. It was very well laid out and well-staffed. As far as what they had set up for memory care, it's set up with a lot of safety in mind. They have a good staff ratio. The price was very high, though. The room that we saw was occupied and had the resident's furniture, furnishings, an abandoned dresser, and nightstand. There was more than adequate room in the room that was available, that was empty. That would accommodate my sister's furniture, the same furnishings, and then included in that room was also a private bathroom that she would have total use of. That was set up with a handicapped accessible shower, sink, and toilet. Everything was set up there for her use. It was the first place that we went to, and it was a very impressive meeting. The staff was very detailed in giving us the staff ratio, the activities, and everything. It was very nice. It just was very expensive; it wasn't something that we could afford. What was most impressive there was, the layout and the security were very well thought out. There wasn't any issue with her injuring herself or anything. She needed rehabilitation, and they had physical therapy on-site. The facility had only been opened just barely a year.

I toured Bickford of Canton and they showed me 3 different kinds of rooms in assisted living. It's very homey and comfortable there. Michelle was excellent, very thorough, and very talkative. She wasn't rushing and she was very involved in helping me. She seems to be able to answer the questions that I have. The facility is brand-new, it was just built last year. That's one thing that appeals to me, the facility itself and the fact that it was started by the sons of a person who had Alzheimer's. They had her story and pictures on the walls and it just makes you feel like you're going into a home more than an institution. I inquired about the food and they use a company for that. In the morning you can order waffles or bacon. I also like its proximity to stores and restaurants. It's very close to where I am currently living, and it would be close to my medical doctors. My emotional adjustment, I feel, would be better because I'm not leaving the community that I've lived in for about 8 years and where my daughter lives. So that would comfort me greatly, I think, in relocating.

Bickford of Canton is probably the most reasonably priced. They were a brand-new facility and the people were incredibly nice. The location is central to our family members, and they're willing to work with dietary requests. They were head and shoulders above the rest. We didn't test the food out, but I got to talk to the main chef/cook, and talked about dietary needs. They make a lot of things from scratch, and they will do special purchases outside of their normal providers if necessary. They specifically talked about a resident that was a vegetarian, and that they went to a specific store to get some ingredients. They were more than happy to work with a keto diet and other things too. Everybody loved what they were doing. One of the caregivers actually will do really fancy nails if that's what one of the residents are into, and they will organize bowling events, or some sort of fun thing to support everybody's interests.

I loved Bickford of Canton. It was very welcoming, clean, and spacious. The individual apartments felt very homey and nicely appointed with all the things that you would need. The person that gave me the tour was excellent. She was very informative, gave me a little history about Bickford, and explained all the different things that they do for the residents. She was very good. I also liked that there were choices of a couple of different styles of rooms. I felt like each room had exactly what you would need for your daily living. They were nice. They had everything you would need, good storage, and they were easy to get around, especially for someone that possibly has a walker. The dining area was also very nice, spacious, and clean. The one activity that stood out to me was crafting, which would be a big thing for my mom. She likes to do that kind of stuff, but they seem to have different things going on too that you could join in. They also play cards and games, and they had a calendar for all of that. You kind of knew what was coming and you could join in on whatever you're interested in.

Bickford of Canton was very nice, very new, quite lovely, and very quiet because they don't have that many residents there yet. The rooms were clean, modern, and nice too. It was a beautiful facility. They had a beauty salon and a nice outdoor patio area.

Bickford of Canton was very nice, modern, and clean. The staff was attentive, kind, and helpful. My mother-in-law got a haircut one time, and she thought it was really nice. The stylist was very kind too and took her time with her. For her needs, her apartment was sufficient. It was a studio and given the extent of her illness, she didn't really need more than that. That worked out well for us. They had 2 interior garden sitting areas that were very nice. We used one once. There was also a day area with TVs and a piano. We would come and go, and we would see activities with different residents involved. The main contact we had with the staff was my mother-in-law, and she spoke of them being very kind, sweet, and attentive. That was our experience with them too when we were visiting. I guess we got what we paid for there.
