First with Heather, she absolutely came in compassionate, understanding, and open to all ideas and ways. She gave us the tools and teaching that we needed to take on the care of my mother in law. We had them for only 11 days but They impacted our family. She came out or called any time we needed her and never once did I seem to think we were a bother. Heather even would take the time out to call and make sure we were alright and my mother in law was doing fine. After my mother in law had passed, she had come to sit with me for a bit. I didn't deserve such kindness but I got it anyway. She listened to me, laughed with me, and let me cry. She also comforted me. She went over and beyond her job and I am forever grateful to her. Dawn was on call at night and she had run out the house a few times to either give us supplies or if we had any concerns she was there. She always had been so kind and sweet. She was there to take care of my mother in law once she had passed and did such a great job and was very respectful to us as a family. She was able to guide us on what we are able to do and let us take our time with my mother in law. We never seemed rushed or pushed. She went well beyond her job duties. Sarah was the massage therapist, thank you for her massage. Margaret was so happy that day. Jennifer who was the Aid for my mother in law was amazing. She is a very friendly, outgoing, funny girl. She let us help bath Margaret and ask alot of questions. She was very respectful and sweet. She always went over her job for us. To all those women, Thank you!!!! "Mom needed services of the nurse, occupational therapist, physical therapist, and home health aide. All were very good, caring, and professional. The physical therapist in particular, was exceptional in the care he gave. He worked very well with Mom, using the right amount of humor, gentleness, and directness to motivate her. He left written instructions (with diagrams) for "homework" exercises. He dealt with Mom's concerns and answered all our questions. All the professionals were considerate in scheduling their appointments, fitting them in when it was convenient for us. "

"It was set up through a visiting nurse of UMHS. It took them around 2 weeks to provide us with a good home aide and I am contented with how the service was performed. The home aides were good and they took care of mom for probably three months. My mother-in-law was comfortable with them. They were a good match for her. They helped her with bathing and they were patient, respectful, nurturing and attentive. My mother in law is not responsive but she had no complaints on the home aides. The whole family is comfortable with the her caregiver. UMHS Home Care provides good home aides and I would recommend them for that. There was this instance though that one home aide was absent and nobody was sent in her place, but we were fine with that. They notified us about the absence anyway. "
