My mother in law had received hospice at the end of her journey. Our RN was Heather during the day and Dawn at night. They each were amazing women. First with Heather, she absolutely came in compassionate, understanding, and open to all ideas and ways. She gave us the tools and teaching that we needed to take on the care of my mother in law. We had them for only 11 days but They impacted our family. She came out or called any time we needed her and never once did I seem to think we were a bother. Heather even would take the time out to call and make sure we were alright and my mother in law was doing fine. After my mother in law had passed, she had come to sit with me for a bit. I didn't deserve such kindness but I got it anyway. She listened to me, laughed with me, and let me cry. She also comforted me. She went over and beyond her job and I am forever grateful to her. Dawn was on call at night and she had run out the house a few times to either give us supplies or if we had any concerns she was there. She always had been so kind and sweet. She was there to take care of my mother in law once she had passed and did such a great job and was very respectful to us as a family. She was able to guide us on what we are able to do and let us take our time with my mother in law. We never seemed rushed or pushed. She went well beyond her job duties. Sarah was the massage therapist, thank you for her massage. Margaret was so happy that day. Jennifer who was the Aid for my mother in law was amazing. She is a very friendly, outgoing, funny girl. She let us help bath Margaret and ask alot of questions. She was very respectful and sweet. She always went over her job for us. To all those women, Thank you!!!! Her last days were filled with love, caring, and most important peace. It was exhausting, sad, with some laughs in between and you guys made the difficult situation smoother. I am forever grateful for the kindness you all showed us. God bless you all.

Heartland provided in home nursing PT and OT services for my elderly father. PT AND OT were fine, but the nurses were lacking - a nurse came out when my father had a bad UTI, and did not recommend that he be taken to emergency and the infection turned septic, and dad nearly died. The nurse should have told the family that that was a possibility and even called 911! I do not live in that household so I was unable to assess the situation. I should have been urged to get dad to a hospital - STAT!

I think that Hartland Home Care & Hospice in Ann Arbor, Michigan is an excellent choice for someone who is independent and who prefers to live independently in the privacy of their own home and who is seeking some outside supportive care and assistance for them self, a friend, or a family member and also that are Hospice. Hartland Home Care provide and array of supportive services and assistance to restore their patients independence so that they can be more in control of their own lives as they once were. They preserve their patients' dignity, respect and provide the necessary plans of care that is also needed for their patients' lives to be enriched and restored to their maximum levels of independence. In addition to they also provide comprehensive skilled Nursing care, therapy services and I.V. therapy to their clients. They also educate their patients and their patients' families, as well as their care givers for each clients individuals needs and plans of care. They also provide a team of specialized hospice health care professionals for their specialized hospice patients. Their care givers are educated on various diseases such as diabetes, Alzheimer's, dementia, cardiac, diseases, and chronic obstruction pulmonary disease, and Hospice, etc. They provide assistance in medication management and to include assessment of patients' new medications, changes in frequency, dosage, and interactions with other medication. They also performs specific therapy services to help assist patients that are recovering from surgery, illnesses, or injury such as joint replacement or stroke and various other chronic ailments or conditions. Overall I would have to rank Hartland Home Care & Hospice on a five stars rating for their excellence and expertise in home and hospice care.
