Brookhaven Manor was very inviting. Immediately, the people that lived there were very friendly to me. They said hello as I came into the building while I was waiting for the lady to come out to show me around. They were asking if there was any way they could help me, pointed me in the right direction, and were very kind. The lady who gave me the tour was super sweet, very nice, and very knowledgeable. It was beautiful. I saw them finishing lunch and everybody seemed happy. I did get to see their menu and it looked nice. They have so many things for people to do there. They have buses to take them. They'll go to Applebee's one day or the Texas Roadhouse or there's a pizza place nearby they like to go to and you sign up for those things. They have craft rooms where you can do all kinds of fun stuff. They have a beautiful collection of books in their library and lots of cozy places to sit or to have family parties. They have a birthday room where a family could come and have a party. It can open up and it can be people from the living place, too. It was very nice.

Brookhaven Manor was very nice but it may be needing some updating and the apartments were very small. It did not have some of the amenities that I was looking for. They don't have a washer and dryer in the apartment, I was not very impressed with the shower, and there's very little closet space. What they showed me were a 1-bedroom and a 2-bedroom. They have a library and a beauty salon. My tour there went very well. The person who gave the tour was very nice, very knowledgeable, and answered all questions.

I had a very nice experience at Brookhaven Manor. The lady who spoke with me was very informative. I went on a tour. It was very clean. They offered quite a few amenities. They talked about free snacks for the residents during the day and the different kinds of meals they could get. I like that they had a housekeeping service that was coming weekly, change beddings, and do that particular part of the laundry. It was quiet, and I was impressed. They have a transportation service that can take residents. Residents can sign up to go to different places like the grocery store. It sounds like sometimes they have concerts. They have a room for internet for those who don't have internet in their room. That's one of the things you have to pay for, so they provide that in case. People can come down and use their internet. The outdoor space was pretty. I had just missed their chair yoga, but there are activities. They give the residents a calendar showing what kind of activities are available. The staff was very helpful. It's a lovely setting, and it's quiet. The staff seemed friendly.

I went to Brookhaven Manor yesterday. It's very nice, very clean, and the lady was very nice. The lady that I talked to was very knowledgeable, she showed me three different places, she priced them out for me, she told me about the meal plans, and so she explained everything to me. I liked it, it's a little farther than I wanna go, but I 'm keeping it in mind. The rooms are beautiful, nice, clean, one had hardwood floors, the lower level ones had carpet, but they were very, very nice, and it smelled really nice.

My visit at Brookhaven Manor was fine. They only have independent living and they're very nice. The apartments are fairly good-sized and we like the location, so we're on the waiting list for a two-bedroom. They have a van that goes to different places and local bus stops, and they go shopping sometimes. The dining facilities were very nice, so we like this place. They also have programs and meals, and you get dinner every night. Depending on your rent, you get a certain number of meals for the month. Then there's a café or a bistro where you can get breakfast or lunch if you want. We only met one or two staff members because we went on a Sunday, but they were very nice.

Brookhaven Manor looks like a very nice place with a beautiful lobby. I was very impressed. It has lots of services and they have a library. They have a lot of concerts on Sunday afternoons. They have their own kitchen. The people have been very kind and friendly. It was just the right choice for my mother-in-law and she likes it. She's in the process of moving. They have a 24/7 medical station with a nurse, and if you want to, you can buy a membership for a year so you can go there rather than going to emergency care. The place is absolutely clean. The person we were talking to there was very friendly and knowledgeable. Even when I was out of state, she emailed me several times, so there's good communication there. My mother-in-law went with my husband on their first tour and they said they had a very good lunch, and that they really liked it.

I thought Brookhaven was very impressive and will seriously consider it when I need it. It looked like an active place, which was what I like, and I saw people playing cards.

Broohaven Manor was very clean. It was well lit. There's always a staff member available. There's always somebody around. They had option of whether you wanted to have one-bedroom apartment or two-bedroom apartment. They had a company that came in to take care of any assistance that you might need. It was near shopping, doctor's offices, and a bus stop. Compared to other places, the had the most affordable pricing.

Brookhaven was very nice and had everything we wanted, but it was costly and didn't have anywhere to walk. The staff was very nice and showed us around.

The people at Brookhaven Manor were very warm and welcoming. It had a wonderful open foyer area. It was beautiful, and the executive director was fabulous; she was incredibly warm. The services that they offered were really good. They have independent living with care. The various levels of care that we could purchase for my father was in terms of the budget that we had, so that was really helpful for us. Everything was incredibly lighted, airy, and clean. The apartments were beautiful. I would live there myself.

Brookhaven was very nice, and the people were very friendly. I felt comfortable there, but they did not have wide doors. This was an older building and the doors weren’t 36-inch doors, which is what you need for a wheelchair. They had activities, different games, movie nights, and stuff like that. They had a bus to take them shopping and places. I talked to a friend and they liked it a lot. It was a very nice place, but they couldn’t accommodate a wheelchair in most of the rooms. Some of their stuff was nice, but it’s not conducive to someone in a wheelchair. A couple of the rooms we saw, we really liked, but then I asked if they would widen the doors, and they said that they couldn’t do that.

I’m in Brookhaven Manor. It’s not a good fit for me; the people are too old. I don’t like the food, and it’s institutional. They’re very nice, but the average age is 90. The activities I can do on my own, but I liked Bingo, and they do some field trips. There isn’t much here to do. They have providers here, and they have physical therapists.

We visited Brookhaven with my mother. Immediately I was struck by the friendliness of the staff--smiling, saying hello, etc. More so than at other facilities we visited. This was probably the turning point at least for me when I knew my mother would enjoy living here. On a second visit, people were setting up for New Year festivities and again the friendliness and amount of interaction with the residents was wonderful. One resident even came up to me, introduced herself and said how much she loved living there. I hope to introduce my mom to her when she moves in the spring.

Just visited Brookhaven Manor. When we entered we were greeted by the Executive Director (not a marketing rep) who was expecting us. There was music and DANCING by residents going on in the common area at the time. Very positive "vibe" and a lot of smiling faces. Hit it off with the director, who displayed significant knowledge of the issues my wife and I face. We had no intention of making any commitments, but after the tour we left a deposit to get on a waiting list for a two BR apartment.

I thought Brookhaven Manor was very nice. I do have an acquaintance who lives there, and I was not impressed with her living space. The staff was interesting and very friendly. Their dining room was on the second floor, and it was also very nice, carpeted, and at the time we were there, there were people eating and they were very jovial. They appeared to be having a good time and enjoying one another. It was fairly traditional, which I would guess would do for older people, who tend to be more comfortable with that other than something modern. There was nothing to criticize about it. I visited several rooms, and I found them very plain. They were painted white and were rather colorless, I thought.

This senior living facility is well laid out, clean, welcoming, lovely without being pretentious. The staff are warm and friendly; the residents I've met are friendly and happy to be living at Brookhaven. This was one of 3 places I researched for an elderly friend (93) who is ready to move from her home to community living. It is located in Ann Arbor and is close to banks, shopping, and restaurants. Pet friendly!
