"My mom has been here since April and for several months I was extremely happy with the facility, the staff was great when it came to the care of the residents. The only problem I had in the beginning was missing clothes and shoes. Recently the staff and administrators have changed and not for the better, I don’t understand why the change because the old staff was the best, no one is hardly available to address my concerns and the nursing staff is not as professional like the old staff which I wish could come back. At this point I’m looking for a new facility especially since they have increased their fees $200.00 and their services are no longer worth it. The only thing that is consistent from the time my mom moved in would be the activity director Bridgit, she is amazing and has my mother very active. It saddens me to see this beautiful place and staff in the beginning to change so drastically to the point I’m removing my mother from her comfort zone but I can’t keep her there. We had a life scare and Jatonya noticed she wasn’t breathing right called ems which I was told had it been any later she wouldn’t be here today. She is no longer there and that’s sad she was excellent at her job and I don’t feel this new staff are as attentive as the old staff, while I visit no one comes and check on her which they never know when we visit for this unhappiness I feel now she’s going to leave as soon as I find another happy place. I’m so sad to do this to my mom but the only thing to keep her there would be to return the old staff completely"

"I toured American House Westland Joy. It was really nice and really clean and had friendly staff. Those were nice apartments and quite a bit of space. I could see other people having food in the dining room. I did not try the food. They do offer for you to come there and have a little lunch with them when you tour. We just didn't have time. The dining area was nice and had a lot of windows. It was bright."

"The Executive Director at Glen Abbey came in during the worst of COVID-19 and what were hard conditions in health care everywhere. We worked together through a lot of challenging times, but with her upper leadership team behind her, Glen Abbey has become a wonderful home for my dad, who will be there for 3 years in December. While a steadfast leader, she's also put together a great team around her. The kitchen staff care about their residents, the food is so good, they're the best! The activities manager does a wonderful job, from daily activities to larger events. The care team staff has only gotten stronger; the bar is always being raised, and it shows. The team is responsive to your needs and concerns. Nothing is perfect, but attitude and intent mean everything. I make sure to take the time to thank them for being such an important part of my team. "

"My mother-in-law is at Crystal Creek, and so far, it has been good. The layout seems nice. She has a room that's close to everything. They offer meal and medication assistance and have a TV room and a nice living area. She has lots of closet space and good access to the bathroom. They also have an outside community center in the middle. They have 18-20 residents in one building, so they get to know their residents."

"My parents are at Sunrise of Northville, and everything has been wonderful. The staff is amazing and very caring. It’s a very clean place. My mom and dad's unit is one of the bigger ones, so it's very nice. The food is wonderful; I think they have a 5-star chef. My parents are really enjoying it so far. "

"We cannot say enough about this great place. We toured 9 Assisted Living centers. From the moment we stepped into building we were able to feel the love. Kristina the regional director helped us as the director was off for the day. Spending over 2 hours with us, she explained everything about the place and what we could expect. She toured the branch and showed us different styles of apartments to ensure that we chose the perfect one. We never felt rushed, just reassured. After we made the choice of Bickford, she gave us her cell number and even answered it after 7 at night, offering us peace of mind that we made the right choice in Bickford. Catrina the nurse is so knowledgeable and her bedside manner far exceeds what we could have expected. She made sure that everything went smoothly after discharge from a very stressful rehab stay. The manager in the kitchen is kind and to really cares what Dad liked and did not like. Everyone we had contact with was amazing. The building is beautiful, clean and has festive decorations that feel as if you are at home. Thank you Bickford you have made a forever lasting impression on us. We are forever grateful. "

"I toured this facility. I think it was impressive. It was a newer building. It had an excellent floor plan as far as apartments, and the courtyard in the middle, which we liked a lot. Also, what stood them apart from all the others is that they had this special monitor that could detect a resident's movements and help if the person might fall or if there was maybe a heart problem while they're in bed that would record their heart rate. I thought that was a benefit that no one else provided. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Everything was modern and clean. I liked the system that they had that nobody else had. It seemed like they had at least the activities, and I thought that was nice as well."

"Tranquility Senior Living was more expensive and a little higher in my price range, but it was a nice and clean facility. The staff was also nice, informative, and helpful. They were really good. They told me about some other facilities that would probably be more in my price range. The facility didn't smell bad. The outside was nice. There was a garden in the front and I remember seeing flowers and a patio. The dining room was nice. Some of the residents were sitting in there with the staff."

"The rooms are very nice and roomy for single living seniors and if there are two seniors they have rooms that are excellent for couples. The food is very good and is prepared fresh for every meal. The wait staff are friendly and will do anything for you when asked. The Story point staff are awesome. I have interacted with all of the staff that has taken care of my mother and they have been great to work with and took care of anything that I ask of them. Id recommend Story Point Northville to anyone in need of assisted living or memory care."
