I visited Blessed Assisted Living & Memory Care in Garden City and toured the memory care unit. I went to talk and to look at it to see if I was going to take my dad there or not. The people seem nice, and it's very clean. I told them I wanted a private room, but they showed me a room with two beds in it. They said he can have the whole room. I also didn't see any closet space or a TV in there. I'm thinking that if there are two beds in there, how can it be private? Also, if somebody comes in, are they gonna put another person in there with my dad or what? The staff members I met seemed to be a husband and wife team, and they seemed really nice. I was not able to sample the food during the visit, and that kind of bummed me out. They did not show me anything or let me taste anything. They had wheelchair ramps in the backyard, but I didn't see any out front. My dad's in a wheelchair. He can walk, but he's mostly in it, and I didn't see any ramps for that, unless they will probably take him on the side or something. They open up a door, and there's a nice ramp to the backyard, and they also have a nice gazebo back there, but I had to walk up the steps to get into the house during my visit.

Blessed Assisted Living & Memory Care was a large home. It didn't seem like they had a lot of different activities going on and if you wanted services done for the family member, the services would have to come into the site and work with them. The owner was very nice. We saw a couple of rooms and there were usually two people in a room.

Blessed Assisted Living & Memory Care had a nice atmosphere and I liked all the activities they were telling me about. I saw one room and it was very roomy and sort of like a room in a home. The staff was very knowledgeable and they tried to answer all the questions I asked. They gave me a lot of input. I saw the game rooms and the dining area was also a nice room.

Blessed Assisted Living & Memory Care was OK but I did not connect with the owners so much. The home was beautiful. We sat in the living room and they told me about the facility. I think the owners live upstairs. I didn't get the impression that the residents were spending any time in the large room because they were in their own room. The rooms were smaller. The kitchen was clean. I wasn't so impressed with the couple that I talked to. The facilities looked good, but their chairs in the living room were all fabric and I could not imagine the people going and spending any time there.

My grandma spent her last days here at blessed assisted living and the quality of care and attention she received was excellent. The staff was professional, but so caring and compassionate she really loved it there. I would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you for all your help!

Best Assisted Living center ever. The facility is a home, with 6 hospital beds. Dora makes the residents and family visiting feel like family. My sister had stage four cirrhosis of the liver. We came to Blessed Assisted Living for Hospice care. My sister was always clean and feed. I told my children if I ever need Hospice, Re-Habilitation, or Assisted living please take me here. I thank GOD ever night that I found Blessed Assisted Living.
