I live in StoryPoint Northville. I have an excellent apartment. They clean my apartment. They have complete food services. They have a nurse on duty eight hours a day, on call 24 hours day. They have one medical pill giver and they have two caregivers on duty per floor. There are approximately five resident apartments per floor. All the services are excellent. The staff is very friendly. We have a dining room. I have better meals here than what I can get outside or I can cook myself. We have a chef who knows what he's doing, and he takes suggestions that make the meals better for people. If you're on a special diet, they take care of it for you. When you come and visit a place, you really can't tell, because all you get is words. You don't get pictures of the meals or anything like that, but once a person visits this place, I can't see how they wouldn't want to stay here. You can have a suite, which is the bedroom in the living room with your kitchen. You can have a one-bedroom apartment or you can have a two-bedroom apartment. That's all the floor plans they have. I live in a one-bedroom apartment, and it is adequate for one individual. It could be adequate for two individuals. All the services that you want are available above the basics. In other words, you can have a person on duty here 24 hours a day sitting in your room with you, if you want. You can have a person who comes all day long and takes care of you. They have wheelchair people and get caregivers on the basic cost to wheel them down to the dining room. The dining is open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. The specials are not that long, but you can go in there any time of the day, have a cup of coffee, a hamburger, a hotdog, a cheese sandwich, a salad, or something like that, and then you can get special meals every day. Every meal is different. You have a courtyard out in the middle. The building is basically U-shaped. The one arm of the U is the memory care. Then the center of the U is your dining room and kitchen. The front space is for the non-memory care residents. We do not see the memory care units. They are in a different area altogether. The door is locked so we can't go in, which I'm thankful for because some people have a little dementia here that forgets things. It's nice that they can't go and disturb the people. We have a card room and an activities room. We have a 35 lounge chair seat theater. We have a library. We have activities every day of the week. They're situated for everybody, whatever level you want to be at. We have a Resident Council meeting where all the directors come in and tell us what's going on in the community, what employees have left, what new employees have come on, the problems that they have and how they're correcting them. It's an open forum that we're allowed to talk to the directors and tell them our concerns. You get to know all the directors and their nursing service here is topnotch. I have two problems, one mainly is I fall down. I press my button and they come and see me. They examine my head to make sure I didn't hit my head. At that time, they call the nurse and the nurse either comes in if she's on duty, or she's at home and she's out on the phone talking to us. If I hit my head, it's automatic trip to the hospital. They're here to help you, serve you, and they have the expertise to do it. They have doctor services that come in to this building and you don't have to go out to a doctor. They come in and they will service you here. You have your medication service here that once you get the proper medications they have a pharmacist that will bring your medications right to your door. All the doors are locked at night. To get in, you have to have the passkey on the pad to get in. In the daytime, one door is not locked. That's the front door but the concierge is sitting 10 feet inside that door, and she's sitting at the desk waiting for you to come in. Everybody who comes in this place must sign in. If I leave, I have to sign out. There's nothing to worry about here. If they don't see me, they come into my apartment and say hello. The person who makes an appointment is excellent. She knows what's going on here and she'll take good care of you. The bad point is 90% of the time this place is under full occupancy. There are 60 residents and there are 22 memory residents. The whole building has 82, so we have a nice small group, and it's well staffed and friendly. It is not the cheapest place around, but their services pay the extra price for you. Their activities are good. They have happy hour on Friday and movies, some of them I like, some I don't like.

My mom is 88 and she just loves living at StoryPoint. Her room is very spacious, well laid out and very clean. The interaction with the staff is constant and everyone is always friendly. There is in-house medical care which was very important to us. The food is very good with many daily options and the Head Chef and staff are always doting on you.

The rooms are very nice and roomy for single living seniors and if there are two seniors they have rooms that are excellent for couples. The food is very good and is prepared fresh for every meal. The wait staff are friendly and will do anything for you when asked. The Story point staff are awesome. I have interacted with all of the staff that has taken care of my mother and they have been great to work with and took care of anything that I ask of them. Id recommend Story Point Northville to anyone in need of assisted living or memory care.

The building interior looks like a 5-star hotel, and is always very clean and well maintained every time I am there. The administrative and nursing staff are competent and caring. The food in the beautiful dining room needs to improve, and I’m hopeful it will soon. The aides are always there to help residents when needed, and are caring, and professional. Our mom is very happy there. As a son, I would recommend StoryPoint Northville to my friends and family, and everyone else in need of finding the best assisted living community.

Wonderful staff and caregivers! Very nice apartments that can accommodate a resident’s personal favorite pieces of furniture and the apartment can be decorated to make it feel like his/her home. The Age In Place care philosophy allows residents to stay in their apartment increasing care as needed and eliminating future moves. Highly recommend StoryPoint if you are looking for a care facility in Northville!

I decided to check out StoryPoint in Northville when I was trying to find an assisted living for my dad. I have been touring many places and found this location to be very beautiful and nicely set up. I thought the apartments were spacious. All the residents I encountered seemed happy and well cared for.

I visited here for my mother. It's beautiful, and I think they have a different theory on how to do things. I feel like there is going to be much more dignity and much more communication among the careworkers, so I think that's probably going to be our best choice if we decide to move mom. They have social distancing and masks at all times. We were happy with everything we saw there.
