"My mom has been here since April and for several months I was extremely happy with the facility, the staff was great when it came to the care of the residents. The only problem I had in the beginning was missing clothes and shoes. Recently the staff and administrators have changed and not for the better, I don’t understand why the change because the old staff was the best, no one is hardly available to address my concerns and the nursing staff is not as professional like the old staff which I wish could come back. At this point I’m looking for a new facility especially since they have increased their fees $200.00 and their services are no longer worth it. The only thing that is consistent from the time my mom moved in would be the activity director Bridgit, she is amazing and has my mother very active. It saddens me to see this beautiful place and staff in the beginning to change so drastically to the point I’m removing my mother from her comfort zone but I can’t keep her there. We had a life scare and Jatonya noticed she wasn’t breathing right called ems which I was told had it been any later she wouldn’t be here today. She is no longer there and that’s sad she was excellent at her job and I don’t feel this new staff are as attentive as the old staff, while I visit no one comes and check on her which they never know when we visit for this unhappiness I feel now she’s going to leave as soon as I find another happy place. I’m so sad to do this to my mom but the only thing to keep her there would be to return the old staff completely"

"The staff were very congenial when I went there. They have a main building and villas and it's very nice. I am pretty interested in the facility and I am waiting for a two-bedroom apartment. I was able to see the rooms and I like it because it was roomy. I felt comfortable with their staff, but the only thing I'm not crazy about this facility is because when you in the villa you have to pay extra for the food and it would be quite expensive if you add it to the amount of the rent. "

"Parkside of Livonia was very impressive. It was clean. The people working in the office were excellent. The big deal was that it's three stories, and to be honest my wife was very paranoid after we got to the third floor, and she was wondering about how to get out if the elevators weren't working that well. Gabby was the one we had contact with. She was very informative and very friendly. There were two questions that she didn't know, so she went to somebody in the other office and got us an answer right away. She was tremendous. They don't have food. Every apartment has its own full kitchen. You can order food out. They eat at the same places we eat. They're only five miles away from my house right now, and they're only a mile away from my daughter's house. All in all, it was an ideal location. We could walk to my daughter's house and have a nice afternoon. They have common areas. There was nobody using them, but they were spotless. The carpeting was clean. The trash cans were empty. They have a game room and a movie theater room, and they were spotless. The room that they showed was empty, but it was fresh paint, well maintained, and clean carpeting."

"We found Independence Village of Plymouth, and we like it very much. It was a very uplifting place. We walked in that place, and it felt good. We also liked that they have a choir. They have all kinds of trips, and they travel within the 10-mile limit for doctors and other things. It is also very convenient. "

"My husband and I moved into a brand new 1 bedroom unit in March 2024. We compared the cost of continuing to live in our home, with all the stress, upkeep, taxes, insurance, etc., to the cost of living here. It was actually less expensive to move here! All our meals are provided as well as weekly housekeeping. The staff are very professional and friendly. We have made many new friends here. The meals are good with lots of variety plus there is a pantry where you can stop by and get a snack 24/7. You also have a full size kitchen if you wish to cook. Plus a full size washer and dryer! The seated shower is the perfect size. There are lots of activities to choose from, onsite as well as offsite. They offer transportation within a 10 mile radius. There is a pharmacy and hair salon on site, plus a fitness center. Our doctor's offices are right across the street, Kroger is within walking distance. There is a waiting list so don't wait too long to come for a visit."

"I visited this facility last week and I was very pleased with cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. I am most definitely considering Assurance assisted living to help with my mom. I feel like she would be in great hands here. The one young lady Kiara was very sweet and answered all of my questions. She even was even open to some suggestions I made and said that she would consider accommodating them.Over all it was a pleasant visit and they are in my top 3."

"We liked the services that Allegria Village offered. The facility was nice. The staff seemed very nice, too. The cost was the biggest factor why we chose that place for mom. They gave us a pretty good deal. Her room was very large (larger than the other rooms in the other facilities that we visited) with a nice view from the window. They offered a social room, shopping outings, a hair salon, and an in-house physician, which was great. The physician would come right there to your facilities and visit each person in the room."

"I toured American House Southland. The tour was excellent. The community was very nice and very welcoming and there were a lot of things to do. The apartments were very clean, nice, and modern. The staff was very nice, very friendly, and very helpful. The dining area was very clean and very spacious. There was a hair parlor, a theater room, and a gaming room."

"We went to Maple Heights. It was nice. It was our second favorite place out of all of the places that we visited for my father. It was very comfortable. The room was nice. They wanted people to do things, but I didn't think that they offered as many things to do community-wise as the other facility did. They had things on their calendar but for me, it wasn't the things that involved the residents with the community. They would go the grocery store one day a week, they do banking every week, and they do little trips around. They did say if the residents have some place that they would like to go, then they would put that on the calendar for them. They were accommodating, but it wasn't as friendly an environment. Inside their facility, their dining room looked nice, but the dining room at the other facility looked like a 5-star hotel dining room. When we looked at the rooms for my dad with his thoughts in mind, he was going to be on the 9th or the 10th floor, but we really wanted him on the 1st floor. This facility doesn't have 1st floor apartments. They start off on the 3rd floor and go up with all of their apartments. The first two floors were common areas for all the residents. The food menus looked wonderful; I was very impressed. Their staff was a 5, and the whole place I would rate a 4. It was still very nice but not as nice as the other facility. The staff was very friendly. They bent over backward to talk to us and to answer all of our questions. They were very enthused with their site. They were very accommodating. They wanted us to feel welcome, and they wanted us to feel that we would be very a good part of their community. "
