I live in Westhaven Manor. They offer a lot of activities for seniors, and the staff is very caring and helpful. They have a gym with exercise equipment and a theater for movies. They have crafts, bingo, church service on Sundays, and bible class on Wednesdays. They provide transportation where they go in groups to the stores and the banks. There are certain things we could have a little bit more for the price. But they offer security, too.

I toured Westhaven Manor. They have elevators for all three floors. The entrances are convenient. They have a library with a pool table. They have a room for people who like to play puzzles. What I don't like is not having your washer-dryer, but that's common in a community setting like that. They have a little store for immediate items. They have transportation to take you to the stores on certain days if you need to. They have different activities throughout the week. They have two different movie theater-type rooms. They have everything you could want. It's just the size of the apartment is so small. The staff who gave the tour was fantastic. Anybody we met along the way, she would introduce me to them. All the people that I met were wonderful and very friendly people. They're going to redo the beauty salon and they're putting in one of those pedicure chairs like you get in the nail places. They have a doctor that comes in. Water, trash, and sewers are included. Heat and electricity are not included. And the staff said that that runs roughly $85 a month but I don't know how they bill that. I toured a one-bedroom apartment. They have different pricing for their apartments whether you're on the first floor, the second floor, or the third floor. They have three different floor plans, and that varies the pricing.

We toured Westhaven Manor. The pricing was good except we didn't like the idea that you would have to eat in the dining room every day. If my friend wanted to eat in his room, he would have to go down to the dining room, get it himself, and take it back. Or they would bring it to him, but there is a charge. The place was clean and nice. We weren't thrilled with the location. You have to go down a street and then you go way down to a dead end, and I didn't get a good vibe about it. And even though it was independent living, I got more of a nursing home vibe from it. The staff who gave the tour was very knowledgeable and very friendly. You could tell that she was the one that normally did the tours. They have pull cords in the bedrooms and bathrooms. They have a full-time activities director. Every Monday, they take people to the bank within five miles. Every Tuesday is the grocery shopping. They have two movies a month.

We went to Westhaven Manor. The person who accommodated us on the tour was kind. They were very welcoming. The place was nice. Maybe a little pricey, but the community was clean. My father is still considering it, so it's all on the list of his considerations, and I felt that they were pretty flexible. So, all around, I have a good review of it, nothing negative to say. We looked at the one-bedroom, one-bath. I think they have two-bedrooms. So, he looked at the one-bedroom. They had like a pool table and a kind of gathering space. They had a game room, so it had plenty for them to do. Just no more food. They don't serve food anymore.

I am extremely disappointed in Westhaven Manor. Mom has had numerous issues that never get fixed. Examples - thermostat is broken, closet door out front has been off the track since she moved in, the front of the one of the kitchen drawers keeps coming off, exposing nails that make it impossible to open. We have reported these things SO many times and get the response "we'll take care of it right away", but they don't. I went to do a few loads of laundry - only one machine out of 3 was working. The trash room is constantly full of garbage bags that won't fit in the chute. I'm very disappointed in the staff here.

My mother loves Westhaven Manor. She has her own apartment. They have activities. They have bingo. They take them to the grocery store once a week and to the bank once a week. They take them to restaurants and other events. They might go to Frankenmuth for the day. They'll have celebrations. They may have a happy hour. They have a lot of activities and it's not expensive. They have a menu or a caterer that brings meals. You order what you want and they may bring them in. They have one- or two-bedroom apartments with a living room and bathroom. The bathroom has kind of like a walk-in shower and they have like a galley kitchen. The people are nice. As long as she's happy, that's the main thing. It's very easy to get around. I think there are like three floors. They have elevators. They have a dining room. They have everything just about every day except on the weekends. Value for money is excellent, especially if you're on a limited income, it's a good value.

I went to Westhaven Manor for a tour. It was pretty good with the library and the dining area. The apartment floor was nice. The bedroom was kind of small to me, but I think I could have managed that if I decided to move in there. Everything was pretty decent. It was just the bedroom was small. Everybody that was there was very helpful. They helped me get around. They provide three meals a day. They had a barbershop inside, which was good. Everything was included, so that was pretty good. The staff who toured me was very helpful. I like her. She was very nice. The cleanliness was good. I didn't see anything out of place. Everything looked up kept and clean. The facility was nice, too. I like the facility. It was just the one-time fee that they were asking. I thought that was a little bit outrageous, and it was non-refundable.

Westhaven Manor was bright, clean, and up-to-date. Everybody had either a balcony or a patio. They had 3 elevators. They made things easier for the seniors, it seems like. They had the pull strings, like if something's wrong with you, you can pull it and they'll either come or if they're not there, it goes to the emergency rescue people. They have that one in the bedroom and the bathroom, also. All bathrooms were equipped with a walk-in shower. The people were nice and there were a lot of people hanging out. They had community rooms that were bright and cheerful. The staff who assisted us was very accommodating. She was nice. She took us for a tour and answered our questions. She was knowledgeable and personable. Another thing that was good about that place was that they would provide transportation to and from supermarkets and some doctor's offices. Every day, you could have food delivered to you. You could order from a restaurant, and they would go pick it up for you.

The people at Westhaven Manor were nice. The lady I spoke to gave me extra time to do other things to help explain to me how this works. She was very respectful and she helped me out a lot and then they helped me where they would accept my dog. The apartments are nice and spacious. I can have your own furniture and they might be able to help me with some furniture if I need it, because people leave things there. They have a lot of activities. They even pick them up on trips. They go to baseball and football games, and they have activities during the month. They have a card game room, a puzzle room, and crafts. They have a lot of activities for seniors to do, so they shouldn't be bored when they move in there. The people are respectful and they helped me a lot.

I loved Westhaven Manor. I love the apartment that they showed me. It was nice, clean, and bright. and spacious. It was just a very nice place. They have a contract with a restaurant not far from the place. Every day, they send a menu up to the residents, and the residents can order what they want, but that gets a little expensive. The lady that I talked to said that the restaurant sends a lot of food, and most of the residents freeze what they get. They have Meals on Wheels, which comes in and brings one meal a day. They offer a lot of nice services. What I didn't like is that the utilities are not included. You have to pay on your own. The staff was wonderful. She answered a lot of my questions and took her time to run us around the place. She showed me a one-bedroom apartment that they had decorated, and it was decorated nicely.

We went to Westhaven Manor. The woman that helped us tour the place was amazing. All the facilities were just amazing and they had a walk-in tub. They had everything that we were looking for. It seemed to me that this would be a place that my grandma would enjoy because of the community and the staff was wonderful. I couldn't ask for anything more. The rooms were great, clean, and upkept. I love that each apartment has a little balcony that they could sit on and that's something that I know my grandma would enjoy. We saw the menu, and there was more selection and it was cheaper. There were things on that menu that my grandma probably would have ordered. They had people working on puzzles. They had a sign-up sheet to go to like Randazzo's, which is a fruit market, and go to Dollar Tree, and Wal-Mart. They have barbecues and stuff in the summer for the residents. There were just a lot of activities, bible study, and stuff that I could see my grandma kind of getting involved in. It was wonderful to the point where this is the option that I'm going to talk to my grandma about.

I did a tour of Westhaven Manor. It was nice. The staff was polite and showed me around. The only thing was, the washers and dryers were used by the floor, by everybody. They didn't have a washer and dryer in the room. But everything was clean, and the outdoors was a beautiful setting. It's very shady, I thought it was very nice. I didn't see anything wrong with it. The only thing I didn't like was sharing the washer and dryer with somebody, it puts at risk the residents. They have a barbershop and community games. The people are very friendly, including the girl that showed me around. It just was a nice place. Their staff were friendly. I think the outdoors is like wildlife because you could hear the birds chirping and everything, so well. That makes you feel good; if birds are chirping, they're happy, and you got to be happy. The place is great. It's just that I don't like sharing the washer and dryer. The staff showed me everything. She was very polite and very caring. She showed me all this stuff, the game room, where the washer and dryer were, it was a lot of room, she showed me all the places it was incredible. They even had a leisure room.

Westhaven Manor is the place I'd like to go to, I like the place. It's got high ceilings in the entrance and the community foyer area. The apartment that I saw was good, it's just me, so the 1-bedroom works. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. She wasn't the normal leasing person because they weren't there, but they showed me the room and facility. I met a couple of residents there, they were very, very supportive, gave me some insight, and talked about the activities and day trips they do. I like doing jigsaw puzzles, and they have a puzzle room. There are puzzles set up around the tables, people were just hanging out in the little lobby and I love the fact that there's a piano. The grounds look neat. The facility is clean and not sterile-looking which I appreciate. It doesn't look like an institution.

Westhaven Manor has been fantastic. My grandparents have moved in and everything's all set. We got moved in within a day and a half of calling. I don't think we could ask for anything better. The staff was awesome and they seem like they care. They genuinely care for my grandparents. I felt like they went above and beyond as well. Just the other day, they had the holidays and one of the managers, the actual property managers, went around with gift baskets for the new year, for all the residents. That's something they've never felt. They know I'm taking care of the family and they've allowed me to make all the payments on behalf of my grandparents. They know that I'm an extension of them and they've given me no hassle around that. They also turned around after-hours yesterday. My grandparents had to do a delivery service because they don't have a car anymore and they're not driving anymore. Even during after-hours, because the deliveries were there a little bit after they closed around 5:00, the staff were still there when the delivery came and they went out and got the shopping cart, grabbed all their groceries, helped get it up to their room, and even unloaded them out of the grocery cart. Instead of my grandparents having to walk the grocery cart back down to them, they stayed long enough to take it. They have just been going above and beyond. They set the bar extremely high and they were awesome. It's an independent living place and they have a gym, a chess room, and a library. They've got a bunch of stuff to use and it's fantastic. For what my grandparents get and for what they're paying, I would recommend it to anybody.

My mother moved into Westhaven Manor. They are great. They have lunch and dinner. It's three floors, and they have an exercise room, a laundry room. I couldn't have asked for more. The staff members are great. She has a one-bedroom apartment. The layout is perfect, a little tight for her, but we need to throw away some of the stuff that she has. She stays on the third floor, so actually there's a door that opens up to her patio, and she can like sit out there, and that's great as well. They have bingo. They just threw a party last week. They do like Target, they do Kroger, all types of stuff. The seniors are most nice there. I can't say anything bad about their seniors. They are so, so nice.

We're moving into Westhaven Manor. It was clean, quiet, and they accept pets. They're nice apartments. We liked it a lot. The staff was really nice and very helpful. They showed us everything, including all the different amenities. It was a nice tour. They have movies, game night, bingo, shopping, arts and crafts, and gym. They have a little store and a barbershop. It's just a lot of things. It's nice. They also have a nice trail out in the back, where you can take a walk and walk the dog.

My father moved into Westhaven Manor last May. They are wonderful, and they've been very, very helpful. The staff is just wonderful, the manager communicates well, they keep us up to date, the maintenance team is on top of maintenance issues, and the whole staff has been wonderful. They have a pool room, bingo, an activity room, a little convenience store, and a salon. Every week they provide a new calendar of activities.

My mother-in-law has moved into Westhaven Manor. It's very clean and very friendly. It's a mixed population. We didn't have a food sample, but she has been enjoying the chef and the meals that are being prepared there. The staff is very accommodating and very understanding. They're just good people. For the surroundings, it's a great price. She moved in on a special, so that is a great price with everything that you get -- the peace and the cleanliness. It's a great area.

My father is doing great at Westhaven Manor. Everything has been great, and I have no issues. The staff is wonderful. He likes the food, and the place is very clean. If something is wrong, maintenance is always on time. Right now, they are not doing activities because of Covid, but as soon as that's over with, then they can start doing activities.

I recently moved into Westhaven Manor. I have not really had anything come up or something I needed, I just come and go to work and do what I can. I have not really interacted with anybody except my leasing agent, and they've always answered my question. But the one thing that discouraged me is that a lot of the amenities they offer are closed because of COVID. They have what looks like a little library and I wanted to go there and look at what kind of books they have, but it was closed. There is nobody around anywhere and everybody deals with COVID with the masks and everything else. I was kind of discouraged about that. Can't somebody open it? I am the only one here. Some of the amenities that got me checked in are not available. I am independent and I do my own cooking and provide my own meals. I have not gone to their cafeteria or ordered any of their food or gotten anything because I cook my own meals. The room is like a hotel efficiency apartment. It is fine. I have only been here for a little bit and I have not had an interaction with anybody. The staff that got me checked in and the lease agreement, they were a five-star staff. This is my first time in a retirement community and there's a lot of old people, but I think everybody is friendly and cordial and I have no bad experiences to report on. I have not been here long enough to be impressed or disappointed. The grass is cut, what little snow we had was cleared and plowed, and grounds are kept well. I think it is overpriced, but I did not have a choice.

My dad is staying at Westhaven Manor now. I go there all the time. Basically what it is is that they offer so many services. Where he was staying before, it was like an apartment, so it's kinda outside. This one is enclosed. You have to come out of his apartment, it's still inside of a building, versus coming outside and you're outside. For him, it's perfect. Matter of fact, he loves it. Basically, they still socialize downstairs. You gotta have your masks and stuff on. They really mentor so many activities but you can still socialize. When I go in there they sit down the lounge and everything. They got a store that comes, they have a cart that comes around, they got an indoor store, they offer me any and every service for the elderly that you can think of. They offer one-bedrooms, they have their own lift that can take the person, and they do door checks. The doors checks are done by one of them, which means that every morning they come, knock on your door, and you have to put your sign out saying you're OK. They did research for real. When they moved in they waived his two months' fee. It was so close to the next month, they just waived and canceled that month or whatever, so they really took care of him seriously.

We chose Westhaven Manor because the staff was professional. The area is close to her doctor and other family members. And its a good location, but I was very impressed with the staff. I like the option of preparing your own food or having your meals prepared for you. I like that option, and I like the layout of the units. It appears that they have ongoing activity of what can be done due to Covid. When I paid a visit, there was a senior exercise class going on. And as I mentioned earlier, I like the meal plans where you can select meals, or you have the option of preparing your own. They also provide transportation to local grocery stores or retail outlets and I thought that was very good.

I went to Westhaven Manor yesterday. The place was nice and clean, the people seemed very nice, they were pleasant, walking through the hallway, and I didn't get a negative vibe at all. The dining area looked nice, closed down with covid, but they brought the meal to you, she discussed all the meal plans, and all the different things that were extra. I liked it and the pricing was very good, the staff was very, very pleasant, and then she called me back and told me they would give me a discount on the room if I decide to take it for my mother-in-law. It could work for her, it's a little closer to where I live, and a little bit cheaper.

I really like Westhaven Manor. So far, everybody is real friendly here, and they have lots of activities and stuff. They take you to the store and to the bank. The staff is real nice, I love my room, it's an apartment, I have a beautiful view, and it's just really nice. The structure is nice, it's nice and clean here, and I like the design and the layout.

I had a pleasant tour of Westhaven Manor. The one thing that I did not like was that it's 3-story and they only had one apartment available on the lower floor. I got this little dog, so I'm not running up and down the elevator when he needs to go potty. There wasn't any adequate area outside for private sitting. The rooms were smaller but they were clean and nice. They had all kinds of amenities. They had a weight room, a card room, and a craft room, which was nice; however, the place was spread out. It was too big. I can't walk very far even with my walker; it was just spread out. Also what I didn't care for was the price. The 1-bedroom apartment was small and there was not even a place in the kitchen where you could set a little table. It was really tight. Everything there is ala carte. You have to pay for gas, you have to pay your electric, the food is not included, and everything costs something. It was a nice tour but it didn't impress me very much.

My mother is now at Westhaven Manor. So far, everything is fine. We have no complaints. The room is independent living so she is able to clean and manage her own room. They do serve meals, but we have not been participating in that at this time. The staff members are absolutely phenomenal; they're wonderful people. They have activities everyday. For example, they had an opening day baseball party; every Thursday they have bagels, donuts, and coffee; they have birthday parties for all the people who have a birthday for the month; they have outings to a restaurant every week; they have outings to the bank or to the stores every week; and they have outings to the movies. They have a store inside the building, they have a laundry facility, and they have a hairdresser and a hairshop. It is a nice set-up. The place is well kept, and they're doing some renovations in the front to make it nicer and more modern. It is also right on the money. The value is equitable.

My wife has been at Westhaven Manor for three months now. The apartments are nice and the staff is really great and very helpful. They provide a lot of different services, but they only offer dinner and they don't have much variety. Everything else is great. All the services are a la carte and there are multiple different services you can get, so it's helpful for people on a budget.

Location, cost, and being able to add on services made us decide to choose the Westhaven Manor. He gets his place cleaned, and he gets his laundry done. The food is good, and it is near to where his house was so he has the same grocery store and same doctor. The grounds are better than adequate. The dining area is setup like a restaurant; there are tables and they’re not assigned so you can sit where you want. There is a calendar of events; the ones he likes is singing on Wednesdays like a church service. They have crafts, go to movies, they’ve got a room that’s specifically setup nicely if you will watch a movie, and they’ve got a pool table. I have met actually the staff in the office, and they were great. I would recommend this facility.

I now live in Westhaven Manor. So far, everybody is wonderful. I don't have any problems here. Everything is fine. We usually have bingo and birthday parties. I saw Westhaven Manor in the phonebook and I visited the place. I was extremely pleased with everything. They had the nicest building in the area, the interior was very appealing, nice accommodations and it was just beautiful. The staff were competent and knowledgeable. The apartments were very spacious. And the price was also very good.
