They showed me rooms and explained the pricing and what was available. It's like living in a cruise ship. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and spacious, and it had everything he could need in there. The staff who showed me around was very empathetic and explained the services that they had for him. The food menu looked really good."

"Everything seems fine at Pine Ridge of Plumbrook. My relatives have only been there since the end of April. The staff seems fairly accommodating. Sometimes there are a few issues, but that is not unusual, and the food seems fine. They always watch baseball games in their theater room. They have movie nights. They take them to ball games. They always have entertainment in there. People come in, sing, and play music. They have a one-bedroom apartment with a kitchen that has a small stove, a microwave, and a refrigerator. The bathroom has a little step-in shower. "

"We chose American House Sterling Meadows for my mother. It's lovely, and it's working out quite well. The apartment is quite nice, it's nice. My mom doesn't have an appetite, she's not eating much, but she likes the soup. Right now, because of COVID, they don't have anything. It was more convenient in location."

"It is excellent, and I’ve been around and known others. It’s very clean, and the kitchen and help are wonderful because my mother has restricted diet. Everything was a la carte, and I like that for the reason that I had a bad experience with another facility. In this facility you can bring your own medication. They have card playing, and my mom like crochet. She goes to some of the concerts, to the holiday party dinner, and plays bingo once in a while. "

"I toured American House Sterling Woods. I liked their entire layout. They have theaters. They have areas for you to sit and enjoy a coffee. They had a number of places and a wide variety of apartment types. The staff was extremely friendly and ready to answer any question we had, and we did have lunch. They had a salon, a workout center, and garden areas. So, they had quite a few extras. They also have a lot of porches."

"I liked American House very much. The staff was very good. They have lots of things going on. It just felt very warm there when I visited this place. "

"I went to American House East I. I liked everything about it. It was quiet. It was very clean. The people were friendly. When I went in, the seniors there were very friendly, and it made you feel comfortable when you walked through the door. I didn't know exactly where I was going and they assisted like, hey, go around there, see such and such and everything. So that right there walking through the door helped me feel a little more comfortable. In the quarters themselves, the living quarters, I went in, they were very clean. It was nice and spacious, exactly what a person would want. The first place I went, the person was wonderful. And the second place I went, the person was wonderful. She took me all through and showed me everything. They were very thorough in their job and they explained and answered my questions and shared things about the facility that I would need to know if I were to move in. So they were excellent in both locations. I was very, very, very impressed. It was very clean. That's the first thing that I recognized going in. I was looking around. It was very, very clean and each building was very clean. The first building was extremely clean."

"I recommend American House East ll. They were the most accommodating, knowledgeable, caring people I have ever come across. They answered all my questions. They took their time. They knew the stress I was going to, and I just cannot recommend any more of a beautiful place than that facility with those people who work there. Everything looked very neat, very clean looking. I didn't see anything wrong with any of the facilities at all. It was wonderful. I was in the common area, and one time there was a gentleman doing some kind of demonstration or lecture, and there were quite a few people in attendance just listening."

"Lockwood of Clinton was very clean and accessible. The lady that ran the place, Kerry, was very helpful, and willing to accommodate my mom in the certain things that we asked for. We also got a room for her on the first floor, and it is beautiful, very clean, and everything is up to date. She has very low vision and it has real big windows, so there's a lot of light in. She gets housekeeping, two meals a day. They also have a knitting and crochet club, bingo, and different games, and stuff like that. I felt like the place was very friendly because of the people that work there, and the residents. My first impression was it was very well kept up and very clean looking."

"I went to look at Windemere Park Warren. The room seemed spacious, and I liked how they had a private bath. The outside and common areas were very nice. The employees were very helpful. The courtyard had a nice gazebo and patio area. Everything was very clean. The facility was nicely decorated. They have a swimming pool, a little chapel, and a workout area."

"Town Village Sterling Heights was very nice. It's beautiful. The rooms were good and spacious. It was nice all around. They invited us to eat, but we didn't have time. We liked this place, but my parents just weren't ready to move yet. It's a very nice atmosphere. The person who gave me the tour was personable, friendly, clean, and nice. I looked at independent living, but they also provide the other services if you want to pay extra for them. They had activities like cards, a movie theater, and games (like bingo)."

"I was really impressed with the apartments at Pine Ridge Villas of Shelby. They had a few different kinds like a shared apartment where they both have their own bedroom but share the community area. They had a community room if you want to have a birthday party or Christmas get-together. It has a stove in there and a refrigerator so you can do cooking and have your family there. The staff was very friendly and very willing to help you. They were calling me for a few weeks afterwards. The dining area was very clean and very well kept. It's like a restaurant."
