My brother is in Town Village Sterling Heights. It's really good for him. They're very kind, helpful, and very understanding. I think he'll be fine there. Every day, there are activities. There is exercising and water aerobics. They take them out on field trips. They're real good. He's independent with assisted living. The activities are excellent. The food is awesome. We did go to a lot of places, and this was the best fit. They have a bistro there, and he can get food any time of the day. They also have restaurant style dining, so it's really good. We're very pleased. They have a library, a theater, a room where they can watch sports, a puzzle area, and a room for birthday parties. They have musicians coming in, and they have an outside area to go and sit. It's pretty well equipped.

My mom is a resident of Town Village Sterling Heights. I really like all the services that they offer. They have transportation, food, and a cleaning service. They offer lots of social activities. So far, it's been a very nice and welcoming community for my mom. I haven't dealt with a lot of the staff directly. The majority of the staff has been very friendly and very accommodating. My mom says there's quite a few people there who are very hard workers. She had run into one or two people who had not been very friendly or helpful. She's had a few issues in the cafeteria as far as someone not waiting on her in an appropriate amount of time. There was one incident with a transportation driver who left her waiting for a very long time to get picked up. Out of all the other experiences she had, the overall majority has been very positive. The place is very clean, and there's been very few issues. I feel like there's a lot of variety. There are a lot of things that the residents can do there, if they choose to. They have movies and bingo games. They had a lovely Mother's Day brunch. I think for Father's Day, they bring in entertainers with live music. They're going to be having a carnival coming up in the fall here, and families are invited to come. They had planned trick or treating events, which unfortunately got canceled due to COVID. I just thought that there's a wide variety of seasonal, as well as regular activities (such as exercises and water aerobics). They've been very accommodating to allow me and my family to come in and use their pool with my mom, so we can swim with her. It has been very nice. They have a gym. They also have doctors that come in, so it makes it very accessible to have a doctor see my mom. They bring in therapists for mental health, so residents don't have to leave. They have all these things available to them on-site, if they choose to use the doctors that come. They even have motorized boat races. They just come up with a lot of neat things. They have craft days. It's a really nice community. With the research that I've done now and experience with the other places, they offer a little more bang for your buck. As far as the research I've done, they seem to be a great value for what you get.

My mother moved into Town Village Sterling Heights. It's very nice and very well organized. The staff is very nice and very helpful. The food is very good; it's probably the best thing. Her apartment is very nice, very clean and quiet. They seem honest and they care about the residents. They have a lot of amenities and a lot of activities. They have visiting doctors, podiatrists, and all kinds of doctors. They have a TV room and transportation. The dining area is very big, very clean, and it looks like a hotel. Upkeep and maintenance are very good. It's very clean. It's expensive, but it's a good value. The meals are included.

I have lived at Town Village for 7 years. The facility has done nothing but go down hill ever since. Common area furniture is fraying and getting drab. Carpeting and wall colors no longer go together. The artwork that was on the hallways has been replaced by pictures of planes, cars and music (ie. microphones, flappers, guitar frets). The dining room has had all noise absorbing features removed (i.e. carpeting and drapes). Fresh flowers on the tables along with tablecloths and cloth napkins are things of the past. Food is repetitive and served overcooked and cold. Resident meetings that were monthly and allowed for complaints and issues to be brought up and discussed are no longer scheduled. Landscaping is dying and not being updated or cared for. Sprinklers have not worked for a couple of years. Entertainment which took place twice a week is now spotty. What has increased EVERY year - rent!

The only negative part of Town Village Sterling Heights and the reason we didn't go there is it's a much bigger facility than the place we chose. My mom is somewhat less mobile and it being as big as it was, she would be transporting herself a long ways. The food was great. They've got the same type of craft activities and they even got a pool and a spa there for the people. It's a very nice place. It's basically the same price range. I couldn't give them any bad ratings on anything. The only thing was the amount of mobility that my mom has would make that place more difficult for her to be in. They are definitely leaning more towards independent individuals than people that need assisting. The dining room was more of a high end type of restaurant setting. You went in there and people took your order. The staff was great, answered any questions, took us around, and showed us the entire place. They were helpful as they could be. I have nothing bad to say about them. The reason we didn't go there was the fact that my mom would have to transport herself quite a way down the hallways. The dining room itself and the people that I saw eating there all seemed very happy with what they were eating.

Town Village Sterling Heights was very nice. It's beautiful. The rooms were good and spacious. It was nice all around. They invited us to eat, but we didn't have time. We liked this place, but my parents just weren't ready to move yet. It's a very nice atmosphere. The person who gave me the tour was personable, friendly, clean, and nice. I looked at independent living, but they also provide the other services if you want to pay extra for them. They had activities like cards, a movie theater, and games (like bingo).
