"Our Aunt spent 4 weeks in Heartland Sterling Heights, she had exceptional care from the therapy department Jennifer (PT) and Liz (OT) were both great. One of the nurses (Shannon) was another employee that was dedicated to that facility. I wish I could say the same for the Nurse Aides but I can't, they were very much below the standard expected for a rehab facility. I would recommend this facility with the suggestion you go there for the therapy and not count on any of the aides for assistance. "

"We were at the stage in life when full time care is needed, and Medilodge of Shoreline has been fabulous. Having passed through a few other facilites on this journey, we are so very thankful to the excellent staff, customer relations personnel, management, and food preparation teams. Every step has been above what we had previously experienced and Joe is happy and feels at home and accepted."

"My experience with this assisted living provider (Cherrywood Nursing & Living Center) was and remains to be a positive one. The staff is pretty friendly. The familiarity between staff members and the residents' visitors was both fruitful and friendly. My grandfather's nurse remembered my entire family's names. The facilities are absolutely stunning. The landscaping outside is flourished with perfectly cut green grass and beautiful arrangements of flowers around every corner and bench. I wish the inside has more plants and greenery. The amenities are about as top notch as it gets for a nursing home. They have a special area for massage therapy! If you're feeling a little achy, then a massage would be great! I remember reading through a portfolio listing a plethora of potential activities, like playing bingo, shuffleboard, chess, checkers, and many others.I rated Cherrywood 4 stars, and not 5, because of the average age. Reading the brochure and reading testimonials, one would think it's more a "rehabilitation institute". I think they even advertise, "the path to recovery..." as part of their slogan. Sadly, it seems as if at least half of the residents are 75 years, or older. I wouldn't call it deception; I understand it's just the way nursing homes are marketed. If it weren't for that, I would have given it 5 stars. "

"What a wonderful place, very clean, staff are very compassionate and readily available for assistance. The therapy staff are so pleasant and patient with the residents. What we thought would take 3months to regain strength for our loved one; only took 5 weeks. The interaction during activity programs and socialization of other residents also helped in the healing process. I highly recommend this facility. Another family member is moving into their Assisted Living community. My kids enjoy the pool when visiting and the residents love the water aerobics they offer. "

"The rooms at Shelby Nursing Center were clean and spacious, and everybody has their own TV. They have live entertainment coming in. They also do assisted-living there. They have what they call the ice cream social. You go down to the dining room, and there we eat ice cream in cones, or just plain ice cream in a dish. The staff is knowledgeable and personable. They know what they are doing. You can have your own food. They have a fridge. Their food is not bad, but it's institutional. The physical therapy is very good there that's what the place is for. "

"I was really afraid when the doctors told me Mamma needed to go to a nursing home after she broke her hip. I have heard all the horror stories out there and see on the news how seniors are abused. I went and toured 3 very nice places in the area then was told the only place with room was Clinton Aire. My sisters and I were devastated. Clinton Aire was not as new and fancy as the other places we went. But we had a prayer circle and trusted Jesus to take care of Mamma. Well let me tell you, God answers prayer!. Not only did Mamma get really good therapy and care, one of the nurses we fell in love with told us she QUIT one of the other "fancy" places and was happy to be at Clinton Aire. She said if her Daddy ever needed care, she would bring him to Clinton AIre, even of she no longer worked there. Those people are doing God's work taking care of people."

"My father-in-law moved into Shelby Crossing Health Campus. Out of all the facilities we looked at, it was the one that had the most capability of fulfilling his needs. He's in skilled nursing in hospice. It's excellent. It looks very clean. The food is really good. He's getting the care that he needs. It doesn't stink, so it's very good. They've got excellent staff. His room is very nice and quite spacious. They have moved them out to the meeting area, so they can be part of the group there."

"My mom (age 84) had a recent health setback, which required hospitalization followed by rehabilitation. Once again, we chose Regency at Shelby Township. This was her 2nd stay there in the past four months. From the admissions process all the way through the discharge process, the entire staff at Regency made this a wonderful experience during a stressful time for my family. They are kind, knowledgeable, thorough and very much on top of things. And they are always accessible and update us along the way, which is something I feel is important. Thank you again to the entire staff at Regency at Shelby!"

"I visited Sanctuary At Fraser Villa for my father. It was very nice. It was very warm and welcoming. They had everything that was absolutely needed there. They had physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy. People were very nice. The work ethic was wonderful. The staff members were very attentive to the residents. The staff members were very good and very kind. They were very attentive with helping those who were having difficulties, e.g., feeding themselves. They were right there to assist residents if they needed help, and that was very impressive. They had luaus, dances, and ice cream socials. They had singing and wine and cheese events. They showed us their calendar of activities. "

"I toured Cambridge East and knew immediately it was more Care than my father needed. He’s currently in an Assisted Living but I’d like him closer. I had a very nice tour and then received a follow up telephone call from the admissions office. I explained that after touring I needed to look for an Assisted living. After discussing my dad the admissions person spent about 20 extra minutes on the telephone with me giving me suggestions on places for my dad. She had a guide that she went through with me with appropriate placements. She gave me several numbers of places to call and even named people to contact that she’s worked with. All I can say is wow and thank you. She even gave me her direct cell number to call if I had any more questions. Great customer service Cambridge East. Thank you"

"My husband moved into the Autumn Woods Health Care Facility. He's happy there. They have plenty of staff. They're very friendly. The facility is clean. The food is much better than what he was getting at the other facilities, so he's fine with the food. They have a hair salon, physical therapy, a little aviary, and a game area where they have a game table. They have games, like puzzles, and things for them to do. They have activities all the time. They usually have a dog come in for visits once a month or so. They have church services. Everything is there. The staff members are always there. They're always responsive and helpful. They don't make you wait a long time. Medicaid and Social Security pay for it."

"My mom had been a resident for the last 7 years. Of course there is no perfect situation for our loved ones but I would recommend this facility to anyone. The staff is caring and the home is clean. The facility is older and has been through some recent updates - any issues have been handled with great care and concern for my mom and her family."

"I was a resident of Heartland for 8 weeks following knee surgery. This was not my first admit to a rehab facility, but the difference between my previous admit and this one was like night and day. The stay at Heartland was wonderful in comparison to my previous experience. The staff was absolutely wonderful, doing their best to meet my every need and delivering within a timely manner. When I asked for pain medication, I recieved it quickly unlike my previous experience at a different rehab facility where I would wait up to two hours! Also, the therapy department was wonderful. They worked with me on an individual basis, working with only one patient at a time, so you always had their undivided attention. The food was also very good. They gave you a menu the day before with choices for the next day. You always had at least five choices of entree, so you could always get something to your liking. Dietary worked closely with you to meet all your needs. In general this was by far the best rehab experience I've had. So far in fact, that I already am planning to return to their facilty for more inpatient rehab. I highly recommend this facility. "

"Cambridge North was referred to us by Crittenton Hospital. I went to visit this facility to find it small and an older building But very clean and full of nursing staff and aids that were very attentive. My Dad having memory loss really needed a place that had lots of eyes on him. The rooms are small but clean. The staff is very nice and always has my Dad up and out of bed , dressed and clean when I visit him for lunch every day. I feel like we are all one big family since my Dad moved there two years ago. They have lots of activities....art, bingo, music, etc. however when dementia is what I am dealing with my Dad doesn't really care about his surroundings ...his is just in the moment. What is best for him is the physical therapy that he gets a few times a week to help him move a bit. I really love Cambridge North and all the staff. They work very hard to help all the patients. A very caring group of people. "

"I think Father Murray Nursing Center is an excellent choice for placement for someone who is looking for placement for a friend or family member. Father Murray Nursing Center is a faith based Nursing facility. While there, I noticed that the residents were pleasant, happy and socializing with one another it also offers a Homey environment tastefully decorated and inviting common areas. A varied menu prepared on daily basis to meet all residents' nutritional and dietary needs. 24 hour nursing care provided by Registered Nurses and Licensed Professional Nurses, Restorative Aides, and Certified Nurse Assistants, Visiting Physicians to attend to coordinate their residents' individual needs as necessary. They also offer their residents a specific Plan of Care to meet their individual needs. They offer Rehabilitation, Long Term Care, Hospice and Respite Care. Their residents receive compassionate care that is tailored to fit their individual needs as necessary. The facility is beautiful and does not smell in addition too their residents are treated like family. They also offer their residents a varied number of recreation and activities to keep them busy and active. Their residents also get excellent care there. In general, I would rank this facility a five stars rating for its excellence and expertise. I would also recommend this facility to everyone and anyone 50 and over because I know that they will do well there and I know that they would like it there. "
