The Best Nursing Home Communities in Saint Clair County, MI

"The care that Marwood Manor Nursing Home provides is good. They seem to be taking pretty good care of my wife. They have shared rooms, but she's in a room by herself because they'd like to keep people like that so they don't pass any infections on to someone else. The therapists are good. I've had experience with them myself 9 months ago and they were also very good. The staff has always been positive. I like them. The food is pretty good. Once in a while, you get something that you don't like, but the majority of the time, the it is good, especially breakfasts. It's a pretty good place and I'd certainly recommend them. The central court area is beautiful that it makes you feel better when you go by and look at it in the windows. The maintenance is good. The young girls that help you with things like bring you your lunch, breakfast, and dinner and help you with the showers and things like that are very good and very kind. They have always been nice and courteous. There was only one time that I had trouble with one staff member. I told the nurse about it and it was immediately taken care of. So, they were prompt, good, and fair."

"My Grams is currently at Regency on the Lake and we couldn't be happier! Every single nurse and aide that has attended to her, has done so with respect and kindness. I have read other reviews about soiled linens and such. I have yet to see any dirty clothes or linens left in her room and her laundry is done and brought back the very next day. The staff has done everything to make sure she is comfortable and for that I am truly thankful. "

"I recently came to St. Clair Lodge to treat the residents dental needs through 360care. I had the privilege of working with Sherry, the social worker assigned to assist our dental team. She was amazing! She helped us with all of the residents by transporting them to and from their rooms, displaying care and compassion for each and every resident we treated, and showing a sincere and genuine interest in the residents dental needs. She made the experience pleasant and productive for everyone from the dental team to the residents. I give my hats off to her and want to send a big thank you to her for all of her kindness, caring, and compassion. She is a gem at this facility and I can tell that she truly cares about the over all well being of all the residents. "I have had three different family members in the facility over the last few years. The building/rooms are always clean, the staff is always friendly and helpful, and they really seem to care about their patients. I also really liked that they provided entertainment and activities for the patients their including television, animal visits, and a pianist who came regularly. "

"When we visited Advantage Senior Living, we saw that they had various levels, which included rehab, memory care, and regular assisted living. It was top notch, well decorated, and very nice. The rooms were fabulous and came in three different sizes. We went in one lady's room, and she's 101. It had a full kitchen, a full living room, a full bedroom, and her own bath. It was so large; she had a piano in there. She had two couches and paintings galore. Nothing was crowded. It was huge and very spacious. The single room was very adequate. It's a newer place, and the bathrooms were upscale. We dealt with Sherrie and met some of the other staff members. Everybody was just super and very friendly. One thing that was nice was if you were in assisted living but had dementia, the memory wing is right there on the campus, so you don't have to leave. You can go into the memory wing without having to move across the state or be looking all over for another place. The only complaint we had was it was hard to find a place to park. There was plenty of parking, but it was all full."
