"I think most of the nurses were really really nice but their level of urgency and knowledge seemed limited. I have visited a few nursing homes over the years and this one by far had the worst smell once you walked into the back halls. However they did have wonderful activities for the residents and were very sweet once my grandmother went on hospice and passed away. "

"My mother is at WellBridge of Grand Blanc now. She's gotten in the parking lot three times and she keeps opening the emergency doors. So, I have to pay somebody to sit with her from 8:00 in the morning till 8:00 at night. The food's great there, and the staff is really good but they're shorthanded. They've got people that work double shifts. What they have to deal with there, they've gone over and above to help my mother. They have crafts and they usually have people come in and perform music once a week. They have something to do every day. The building itself is nice. The staff and the management are helpful. And if they can't help you, they'll find a place that will, and they're good at that."

"I went for a tour of The Oaks at Woodfield and thought it very good. I would highly rate them. The staff was very good, and I didn’t have any complaints about the staff at all, but the rooms were not as nice as the room she has now. There was furniture in there that looked like motel furniture rather than something you would put in your own bedroom. They have different activities for the residents, like Wii bowling and storytelling. Some of the residents I saw were playing billiards. There was a nice sunroom there, and the dining room had white linens. Overall, it was a very nice facility. "

"Everything had a time set to it. They were all very scheduled. There was rest time but there was also activity time. When there was activity to do, they wanted you up doing their activities. They also had people from a hair saloon come in two days a week and get their hair done. My sister participated in some of those activities. She also had great physical therapy. Personnel wise, they keep the residents in good spirit. If there are aggressive people, they would stop them right then and there. With regard to food, my sister raved that she really liked their food. Everyday they got soup at lunch and a different soup in the evening. She really looked forward to that."

"My mom is in Maple Woods Manor. She wanted to be there. They are very good; everything is really good there. "

"After making the decision on my mothers behalf, I placed her in a facility. They talked a good game but in end of the day, the had her so over medicated that she had no idea who, where, why, nothing at all. She became lifeless and stopped moving which was what they wanted. A blister on her heal ended up with a leg amputation because of lack of care. I ended up moving her to Fenton Health Care. She is now on 1/3 the medication from the "other place". We have had video chats twice a week since Covid, and I am beyond shocked at her attitude, spiritedness, etc. She laughs, tells stories, and we have some of the most pleasant talks that we've had in years. I get a weekly call from her attending nurse to discuss her medical situation, and two weekly videos with mom where we share talks of life. She is so happy, and so am I. Making this decision was difficult, but the care she is receiving makes it feel like I did the right thing. Thank you Fenton Health Care!"

"My mother-in-law is at Medilodge of Montrose. I like that it's close. I think that they do a good job communicating with the family to let them know what's happening and what's going on. There's nothing that I don't like about it. They offer activities. I witnessed one, a church service, and everyone was friendly. There's a common area, places we can take my mother-in-law to, and places we can have just a family time. So, it's good."

"Durand Senior Care was close to my home. It was equal to the other facility I visited in every way except that the rooms were a little bit smaller. The activities were also the same. The only thing that I would prefer was for it to have larger rooms. They were pretty old, but well maintained, and they were making updates indoors. What impressed me with this facility was that they had about 85% to 90% success rate in sending their rehab patients home. "

"My in-laws are residents of Mission Point of Holly and we liked it. It's a small place and brand-new, they recently rebuilt it. It has 66 beds and only 22 are occupied right now. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they offer activities to the residents."

"My dad is currently in Suncrest Nursing Home. He's been there for about 2 weeks now. The care in the facility is excellent. Dad is in good hands. They are very good at their job. They were doing really well with him since he got off the hospital. This nursing home is close to where he lives. I would definitely recommend Suncrest to others. "

"It's awesome here at Stonegate Health Campus. This is a brand new place so it's a very nice facility. It has just opened in December last year. They have very nice rooms. The people that work here are just wonderful. They are very, very nice. Also their food is great. We also got a whole list of activities here. Everything about this facility is great. "

"I visited Pleasant View two years ago. It's brand new, built within the last five years. It's a nice place, and they seemed to have good workers there. I believe it's a nursing home. The staff was good, it all looked really nice, it had a nice layout. The community room where we're at was really inviting, nice, and big. It's very clean, and they have attentive staff."

"The staff of Wellspring Lutheran Services was wonderful to my mom. They were very, very kind to her, and I felt they took good care of her, but it also took family like my sister and I to take care of her too and to make sure all her needs were met. The food was pretty good. They had a cook and sometimes even the people who work in the kitchen would bring a recipe to work and make the recipe for the people there for a treat, like during strawberry season, they would make a whole bunch of homemade strawberry pie or something. They would do special things like that for the people who were there, and I thought that was really great. "
