Pontiac Village Estates Co-op, is located off of Walton Boulevard, just west of Perry Road. This 77-unit apartment building opened its doors in November 2014, with spacious apartments, a computer center, an exercise room, gated parking, and much more! A pleasant living environment is provided with a buzzer/intercom system in every apartment that is operated by the resident/member for entry into the building. Pontiac Village Estates Co-op offers a healthier and safer environment to live in by being a 100% smoke-free building. Smoking is not allowed within the individual apartments, the common areas, and within 25 feet of the building. Activities are planned by the resident/members and include luncheons, dinners, bingo, card nights, exercise classes, and many other activities. Members have a voice in the management of the building and are encouraged to participate. The co-op is within walking distance to the bus line, retail establishments, and an urgent care facility.

"It was clean, fresh, uplifting, and felt like a beautiful hotel. The staff was helpful, and there were activities. I saw the library, which had nice chairs and interesting pictures on the walls."

"My dad moved into American House Village of Rochester Hills. So far, it's been pretty good. The thing that I like the most is the attention to their residents. They seem to actually stay connected. They look out for their needs and follow up with any situations that arise. They seem to be pretty well connected with their residents. They have a pretty good meal program. It is three meals a day. So far, the food that I experienced has been pretty good. They do keep their residents engaged with lots of activities, like the Wii games and other other things that are available. The property is well-maintained and upkeep is very good. They do have good activities, but I believe they could possibly add a few more things."

"Everything was very good. There was no problem. My father was there for six weeks. He was happy there. The food was good. He enjoyed it, and he ate everything when he could. He had a room, and it was nice. "

"I've moved into Vicinia Gardens Independent Living. It's beautiful. The staff is happy and helpful. Everything's great. Maintenance and cleanliness are perfect."

"The tour guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and knew the residents. Magnolia is clean and has many fun activities The food was not your normal senior resident menu - very good selections daily. . There is a shuttle to get the residence to places they want to go and the view of the lake is magnificent."

"I went to Ivy Terrace Independent Living. It didn't offer a lot of services. And they didn't offer a kitchen at all. They have individual apartments and one-bedroom individuals. They had a lot of social activities. It was near town. It's a very new building."

"Angelic Gardens would probably be my second choice, but it was a little bit further. It was really nice there, it had a country setting, and it had a lot of snow at that time, but it looked like it's going to be a pond. It has beautiful gardens, and nice big rooms. It was very clean. The staff seemed to be OK. I would definitely recommend them. "

"The visit to Maple Vista was very nice and very good. My wife went with us and we enjoyed it. My mother seems to be pleased too so I would say it's very positive, as of this point. We decided on it for my mom because it is so close, about a half-mile away from where I live so it was one of those no-brainers. Of course, if it's a nice place, I'm going to take her there. What I like most is that they have meals, gathering areas, and all that. The least, I don't know whether it's going to continue, but they have a mask mandate. My mother might be able to tolerate it and, in her home, she's going to not have to worry about that. It's not that bad. I think when they go into the public areas like in the cafeteria and the reading room, that's maybe when they would want to do that. The staff that we had on the tour was very good. We saw a room that was a suite with a bedroom on the side and it's all open. The kitchen was small, the refrigerator was kind of small and low too. The only issue I saw was that she's got to bend down for the refrigerator. We may bring in an extra small refrigerator so she doesn't have to bend down so far. The living room seemed spacious enough, I thought it was nice, and it was very clean."

"The apartments at Lockwood of Davison were generous in size. It was very clean. There was a variety of people with disabilities, which I'm one. The people were friendly and courteous. They had a variety of activities for the people that live there and transportation also. The staff was very polite. They afforded me all the information that I needed. They made time to speak with me and the place was busy. The residents prepare their own food. They have outings that they take people on. They have access to a lot of services that people may have a hard time finding like Meals on Wheels. I met the maintenance, management, the supervisor, and the housekeeper. Everything was clean including the apartment they showed me. They showed me a very spacious one-bedroom. I was impressed with what they had to offer and how they managed their building."

"Kearsley Daly Villa seemed nice. I didn't have any complaints about it. I liked the little houses behind them that you could rent, but they were all booked for three years. There's a waiting list for the houses. It's connected to the senior citizen's place. I didn't see any apartments. The dining area was really clean and nice. They had a lot of things and services for the people to do there, and that's all free. The staff was super nice."

"The security at Hampton Manor of Burton was good. It was beautiful there. The only thing is, they did not have any one-bedrooms. They had studios and those were small, but they had great common areas. It is like a square and they had a common area in each point of it as well as a cafeteria. It was great and that was one of my favorite ones after the other facility I visited. The staff was very, very friendly. The facility was very clean. Each room was clean. I think at the time we were there, they may have had a leak that they were trying to dry. The only downfall was that sometimes there was no one waiting at the door. So, if you want to come in, they will have to push the button and let you in. You couldn't just enter it. You had to have somebody let you in. The food looked and smelled good."

"Pomeroy Living Orion's people are very nice. The facility is new and clean. The staff is very helpful and the residents are very kind. They have arts and crafts, exercise, shopping trips once a week, offer movie nights, daily Happy Hour and a little putting green in the back. My mom is in independent living. It's kind of expensive."
