I moved into Elmhaven Manor. It's been great since I moved in. Everybody was very helpful. They have many activities for you to do. They have bingo and painting. They have donuts and coffee every Wednesday. They have places for you to go out and meet people. I've only been down one time for breakfast, and it was excellent. They provide transportation, like going to Kroger. They have movies and yoga. The staff members are very nice and friendly. I have a one-bedroom apartment with a large living room and a nice kitchen. They didn't have a microwave.

I toured Elmhaven Manor. It's very clean, neat, and organized. I didn't spend a lot of time there. I didn't get the comfort feeling with that one as much. The hallways and stuff are nice. I didn't get to see the rooms and stuff, but just one apartment. So, it was a small one. It was just a small one-bedroom, and the kitchen was pretty small. It was not homie. A few people I met on the elevator weren't friendly, but that's the people though, you can't control that.

I went to Elmhaven Manor. I like it. I enjoyed the layout of their apartment and facility. I enjoyed meeting with the staff. My father happened to be familiar with a lot of the different staff there from previous departments he lived at. So, he felt comfortable and at home immediately. It was good value for the amount of money I would be paying for the space he would get and the level of care he would get. The thing I didn't like is there were no installed power doors for people who are in wheelchairs as you're entering the actual building, and it seemed like a gross oversight not to have like, automatic doors for people in a wheelchair. So it's difficult just having the door open and positioning him to wheel him in and out of there. I like the staff. They were comfortable and personable. They were aggressive in their approach to offer discounts, accommodations, or different packages to try to get our business there. The structure of the building is not super impressive, but it is spacious. So those who are in wheelchairs and power chairs you had enough room to go down the hall and turn. You didn't feel like you were going to be locked in or bumping into something. They need a new air filtration system. I know part of the property was dedicated to those residents who smoke. But like it pours into the hallway. So half of the building smells wonderful when you're walking down the hall. The other half kind of smells like old cigarettes for those who don't smoke or whatever. It's jarring.

I'm a smoker and I liked that Elmhaven Manor has a separate wing for smokers, also laundry on each floor, and trash on each floor. I met a few of the people there and they had some activities planned. They have a bus that takes you to Walmart or Myer, depending on the week. In the wintertime, that would be extremely nice. I loved the person who helped us. She was super nice and very comfortable to work with. The place smelled very nice, too. It looked very nice and clean. I was impressed.

My aunt is in Elmhaven Manor now. The staff is really friendly. The primary reason we chose it was the closeness to family, and there are lots of activities in the community. It's a very safe feeling, and it's well-maintained. One of the other reasons was, she was able to bring her pet with her, and that was a big one. They have art classes, billiards, weekly movies, and card games. They recently had a fall harvest party. They have birthday parties for the residents once a month.

I already have my apartment at Elmhaven Manor. I still got some stuff to move, but the people are great. I've already met some of my neighbors and residents there. I would recommend it to a lot of other people. The front office and the management staff are wonderful. My apartment is beautiful. It's small, but it's very clean. They go over everything with you, so they give you all the correct information and they also work with you if you can't afford the price. They offer one-bedroom, two-bedrooms, and 4 condo units. They have a bus that would take you out to outings. Every week they go to Krogers or Target or they take them to places where they need to go, like banks and credit unions. They've got a nice clean laundry room where you could use your phone to pay for it. I haven't experienced the TV room or that little mini store yet, but so far, so good. It's a wonderful place.

I went to Elmhaven Manor two weeks ago. It was beautiful. It was very new. It was very clean. The actual apartment was very nice with a balcony. The staff was very nice, very informative. They do not have a cafeteria. You have to order out at a restaurant. I have no complaints about it at all. It was very modern, it was very accommodating for my mother with the elevator. They had pull cords in the rooms. It was a bright place with nice sunlight and it was just very nice. They do have activities, but I did not see any elderly people walking down the hall. There were cards, puzzles, and there was a beauty salon.

My husband and I were at Elmhaven Manor. We were real happy there and we loved that place. Their maintenance guys were great and everybody was very friendly. They probably started up some of the activities now, but we were there when the pandemic started and they shut everything down. So, it was pretty boring. They didn't want you to really come out in the hallways unless you went down to get your mail. They have a little beauty shop, food if you want to get one, and a big kitchen to cook in. If you didn't want to cook, it was like $9.00 a person to get dinner. They were very, very friendly, very helpful, and the food was good. They have a little store with a lot of essential things that you could buy, like milk, bread, pop, ice cream, boxes of goods, and all kinds of stuff, which was nice. We lived on the ground floor and had an enclosed patio, which I really liked. So, I would highly recommend them.

My tour at Elmhaven Manor went pretty well. The issue was the shower. The apartment was really clean, it was a nice size actual apartment. It was a one-bedroom apartment. It had a full-size kitchen in there. It was really clean. It was move-in ready. The issue was just the shower wasn't accommodating for my mom. Everything else would have worked, but the shower wasn't accommodating. It was nice. I would have loved that one. It was right up the street, and it gave her a little patio balcony area out there. There were lots of pluses with that one. There were some utilities that you have to pay for, but the price was $1500. The lady told me $60 for both gas and electric, which would have brought her up to $1600 and we're still well underneath that, but no meals were provided yet. She would have to make her own meals, or I would have to go over there and cook it and that wasn't an issue, and I didn't see that being a problem. I would have chosen that one because of the price, and the location is OK. Overall, it was nice. The staff was welcoming. I didn't have a problem with that one. Maintenance looks good and cleanliness was good, too. Some amenities weren't included, which was fine, and that's something we were willing to go ahead and do, but the shower just wasn't going to work.

The lady that toured me at Elmhaven Manor in Pontiac, her name's Paige, was very nice. It's independent livng and the place was very clean. It did have an institution feel when you walk in. I didn't like the fact that it was kind of small. To me, it reminded me of an institution. They're very accommodating though. My ex-husband would prefer a smoking room and he would prefer a shower and they have that. The problem with Elm Haven is they only provide dinner and you have to pay $270 a month to eat dinner there, which I felt was extremely high, even though their prices were very, very good. You have to almost pay for everything extra too. They have a beauty salon and barbershop and laundry rooms. They have a convenience store that I thought was nice. If you'd need milk or bread, you just go down there and get it. The rooms were nice too. The dining room was elegant and it was big and spacious.

I'm going to sign a lease with Elmhaven Manor. I was able to tour it, and I was very impressed. It was very clean. I like the way it's situated. I'm also on the waiting list for one of the independent bungalows, which is in the back that has a garage. I don't want my car sitting out in the elements. They put me on the waiting list for one of the bungalows, and it's affordable for me right now. The staff was very helpful during the tour. The rooms I saw were very nice. They were a little small, but it's only going to be me so that's OK. It was very livable, and they were nice. I like the way the bathrooms were. You don't have to climb over in a tub. It's a shower, where you just walk in so you won't be tripping at all when trying to get out of a shower in a bathtub. I like the way everything is set up. The amenities I like with them is that I can pick my meals. I don't have to have breakfast, lunch, or dinner if I don't want to. They have an activity room. You can go down to the lounge, where you can sit and talk. I like the fact that they have a doctor and nurse that come once a month. They have a pull cord push button in case something happens at night, and I love that. If you need to see a doctor or a nurse, you can put your name on the list (that's if you don't have your own doctor).

My mom just moved into Elmhaven Manor. They were having a special on the rent and my mother was on a fixed income and was trying to get the best possible situation for the price. Everything was fine, but because of COVID, a lot is going on. The apartments are nice, it's medium-sized. The dining area is very nice, it's clean, it's nice. They have arts and crafts, fitness, and they have a movie theater.

My aunt has moved into Elmhaven Manor. We were able to visit the community personally. When it was apparent that it was very serious they allowed us to go by ourselves and looked at the apartment physically. It is great. The community is very friendly. Everyone seems very nice. They welcomed my aunt and they said, "You're going to really like it here." I'm very impressed with them. The staff members are so helpful. It is a very nice place.

My mother-in-law lives in Elmhaven Manor. It is the one that she picked. It is very clean and looks like it has been remodeled recently. They have lots of amenities. Lots of people are walking and talking around. They only serve one meal a day, but my mother-in-law doesn't eat that much. They don't have car service, but they have two different kinds of shopping. I don't think all of the food is fresh, but my mother-in-law seems happy enough with it. It is a nice place, and her room is very nice. The staff members seem to be very cooperative. They had a market last week where people could bring things in to sell or buy.

Elmhaven is a nice and newer facility, but they don’t have as many activities. The staff was very good. There are one- and two-bedroom apartments. They have musicians come in, do crafts, and have physical therapy and a beauty parlor.

Elmhaven Manor was wonderful, but it was just strictly senior living. My husband, my brother, and I went there and saw the accommodations, which were nice. The people were very friendly. It was very clean and had a lot of activities going on all the time. The only drawback was that there’s nobody at the facility from 8 at night to 8 in the morning, and it doesn’t elevate to assisted living. The price was right, and the rooms and apartments were all lovely and decent. We looked at a 1-bedroom apartment, and there were ample storage closets. The kitchen had electric instead of gas.

Elmhaven Manor was clean as can be. It had no smell, and it was absolutely gorgeous. I only met one lady, and she was very nice. There were one-bedroom and two bedrooms. What really impressed me was the location. It was neat, clean, and the rooms were nice. The one bedroom was livable and very nice.

We ended up finding Elmhaven Manor. So far, it has been a fairly smooth transition. They were helpful for the most part. They have an excellent activities director who is really involved with all of the residents there. She does a lot of activities with them. Other than that, it hasn't been long enough to make a judgment yet. They have in-house activities. They do weekly church services. They have movies every Saturday, but they have community service, like community activities with concerts at a local venue, picnics, barbeques, arts and crafts, and bingo. They do cards, like bridge tournaments. So far, with one exception, all of the staff has been really, really good. We had a little bit of an issue with the manager. She was a little bit difficult, but everybody else was very, very helpful and just a joy to work with.

We were happy with Elmhaven Manor. The rooms were spacious and the staff was great. The food was not to be desired but it was a work in progress.
