My mother-in-law is at Medilodge of Montrose. I like that it's close. I think that they do a good job communicating with the family to let them know what's happening and what's going on. There's nothing that I don't like about it. They offer activities. I witnessed one, a church service, and everyone was friendly. There's a common area, places we can take my mother-in-law to, and places we can have just a family time. So, it's good.

My dad was just there and oh my goodness. The staff was terrible. One day he never received lunch nor dinner. And us family was there during Lunch time. The food was terrible. He was there a few yrs ago and enjoyed his stay. But this time around he couldn’t wait to get out. One of the nurses was even rude to my mom.

What is wrong with you people that own this facility?!!! We had a family member there a few years back and the staff was just wonderful until the new owners took over. My mom was there for a week and was unattended day after day. This was once a FIVE STAR and now it isn't even a One!!!! Get it together people! We need a place for our parent now and you ARE NOT the place I would even consider leaving my pets at.

My family member was there one before and it was very nice. This time it has been terrible! Not enough staff in any area, especially nursing! Patients are ignored and left for hours before being taken to the bathroom. Patients are not cleaned up and staff is mean if they ask for help! Proper supplies not available to care for the elderly population. Medications are not given as they should be especially pain medications before PT. This place is filthy! I gave up finding hand sanitizer after the first three I went to were empty. Public restroom was very dirty...no soap or towels. One resident sat at the dining room table with her face in the food for the entire time we were dining, when I brought it to the staffs attention I was told she can't feed herself and no one was available because they were on lunch. For heavens sake wipe the tables once in a while. Very unfriendly place and do not do anything to make the family feel welcome to visit. For example, no family meeting areas, dirty public restrooms., very slow food service if you can get someone to come to the counter so you can order. Would it hurt to have a high chair, changing table and safe area for elders to have visits from their grandchildren, great grand children? We all know they do better when they have family visits!

My mom was in twice. The first time was amazing. The second time was ok but due to management changes did not seem as wonderful. They spent a week with paper plates and plastic ware saying they could not afford dish soap. Therapy was wonderful. Seemed short staffed on cna and nursin and I once spent two days requesting to talk to the dr even going as far as going to her while eating lunch and telling her I wanted to talk and she still left before seeing me.
