"I was asked to write a review about sugarbush living well here it goes….My father has been at one of they houses for the last two years.I believe it is called House3-Woodkrest. I have to say i never been more calm or happy where my father is at. The house is always clean and kept up. My father never ever has no complaints. They have the nicest House Manager with the biggest prettiest smile ever. She always keep me updated with changes with out having to ask & she is always available to answer any questions. Her & her Staff have been so nice to my father & everytime I comes there staff is always positive and welcoming. Im glad my father is there & is happy there. Thank you so much house 3."

"I've been in Heritage Hill for three years now. The staff is wonderful. They take good care of me. It's clean and neat. I just love it. They have so many activities to keep us busy every day. I bake on Mondays, and we eat what we bake on Tuesdays at happy hour. It is a great place to be. They're there to help you at the drop of a pen. I would recommend it to anyone that needs any assistance. God has certainly blessed me. It's a good place to stay. We all have single rooms. I have two closets, a bathroom in my room, and I have room for my family to come and visit. I have four sisters and a brother. There are six of us, and I have plenty of room for everybody. It's a nice, large apartment. It's not a little cramped space and I can do what I want. If I can't do it, they'll come and do it for me, but I do a lot of stuff my own way. My great-grandson comes sometimes and spends the day with me and he loves it here. They have a library and the activities department has a book cart that they can bring around with lots of different books on it. They change out the books all the time. Our local transportation comes sometimes and takes us to the library if we want to go. We go out to eat in the community or in other small communities around as an outing. They take us different places and we've been to a lot of different places. We have a lot of activities. We play cornhole and volleyball and they have bingo twice a week. They have card games. I usually have a puzzle in our community room. It's a great place and we're well taken care of. If we need physiotherapy, they come in. A nurse practitioner comes here. If we have wounds, they have a wound nurse that comes. I feel very safe and comfortable here. The staff is wonderful. Not everybody likes everything, but in general, the food is pretty good. It's very clean and well taken care of and outside they have someone mow and remove snow and visitors can come anytime of day if they want. It's like home. I was just recently in the hospital and they wanted me to go to in-house rehab for two more weeks, and I told them, "No, I want to go home. I can get everything I need there." The activities are great. They go out of their way. I'm sure I'm getting my money's worth."

"My grandmother is at The Pines of Burton. I like it. They followed Covid-19 safety precautions. They had very nice and very respectful staff. They were a bit pricy, but they provided quality care to their residents. They were very respectful of maintaining safety for their residents as well. As far as folks who may have wanted to attempt to visit, someone they considered a loved one, but that loved one did not consider them; i.e., ex-husbands and things like that. They were very good at taking those kinds of precautions as well. Due to Covid-19, I wasn't able to sit and dine with my loved one because visitors were only allowed to come in within the standard restricted areas, and dining was a public space. It was a little pricy, but not as pricy as other facilities."

"Bayfield is a wonderful place!! The rooms are beautiful and spacious! The facility overall is gorgeous and very well maintained!! We moved my mother and mother-in-law in ten months ago and they absolutely love it there! The activities are excellent and consistently new ones are added into their program! The food is excellent as chefs prepare 95% of it from scratch! Most importantly the care team is excellent!! They are caring, responsive, professional and very respectful of not only our mothers but all of our family! No place is perfect, however when an issue arises they address it immediately and resolve it! This certainly gives us great peace of mind! I would highly recommend Bayfield to you or your loved ones!!"

"Auburn Heights Senior Care was wonderful. I liked it. It's a smaller group of people, and they all eat together. It's very clean. The rooms were beautiful, freshly painted, updated, and had furniture and pictures. They had TV setup. There's a girl that has a program of activities for them to do on a daily basis, and they go on outings. The staff was very nice. The lady running the place was very helpful. I was very pleased."

"The one that I liked the best was Charter Senior Living of Davison, but they didn't have any room available. They had a physical therapy department right there on site, so they could get physical therapy every day if they needed it. They had individualized meals. Your pets were allowed. They had individual heating. The staff was very welcoming, but the ratio from caregiver to patient was too high - 1 to 10. The food that I had there had taste, and it was easy to eat. They would bend over backward to get you whatever you needed. They had a gym onsite, a chef on site that you can have several choices as to what you want to eat, and they had a beautician and a podiatrist that came on site."

"We have had my mom at Springvale for 2 1/2yrs. She spent time in the Assisted living side and is now in the Memory Care side. We have been very happy with the care that she has received. The rooms are very nice with a closet and personal bathroom. They are kept clean. Residents are able to bring their own furniture and personal belongings to decorate their rooms. The staff has been exceptional in providing care. I feel they are family with the care they give. We feel comfortable going on vacations and leaving her in their care. She enjoys the exercise, music, and other activities. She is bathed and they have her on a toilet program. Resources such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, social work, hospice and spiritual care are available. The staff will contact me if needed. The staff will also send pictures of my mom having a good time. Highly recommend Springvale."

"My Mother was diagnosed with Lew Bodies Dementia. One of the more challenging Dementias to manage. The staff were OUTSTANDING with my Mother's ever changing needs. While visiting with my Mother on many occasions I was able to witness first hand the attention not only to my Mother but others who Lived in Courtyard Manor Swartz Creek with her. The staff GENUINELY CARE for those they assist. When I looked for an Assisted Living/Memory Care for my Mother the most important thing to me was not how fancy or expensive the building was or was not but rather how will the staff take care of my Mom. I felt Very much at Peace with my Mother at Courtyard Manor Swartz Creek. It's not the building or the business it's the GIVERS OF CARE. "The 1 bedroom apartments are very spacious and the studio apartments are the perfect size for somebody who doesn’t need the separate bedroom, Housekeeping keeps the rooms spotless, The food is excellent. The chef goes above and beyond to make delicious meals for residents. Menus always have a variety of choices, The staff is top notch. I can’t say enough in the way they care for residents. You can tell they love what they do. They will take the time to answer any questions families may have. So happy my dad is a part of this community! I would give Devonshire more than 5 stars if that were an option."

"I was at Independence Village of Midland for a tour. It's newer. Carrie was very helpful. We went there in between mealtimes, so there were no meals at that time, but we looked at the menu, and I was impressed with it. The rooms were neat. We were able to get around very well. They had all the facilities you needed to take care of yourself, or mostly take care of yourself, so I was impressed. The common place for everybody was pleasant. It had a lot of windows so that you could look out to the patio at the back, which was nice. Independence Village of Midland was the one that we liked the most. If my mother were still here in lower Michigan, that would be it."

"Shadowtree Lodge was very good. We were accepted there but they had to decline because they didn't have the 24-hour care that my dad needed. The staff was very friendly. I wish we could have gotten him in that place. It was nice. They had a bunch of board games and stuff. I saw the kitchen and the laundry room. It was just like a regular house. They had a big kitchen table where all the residents had dinner there. It was really nice and really clean. It looked like a lodge in the middle of the woods. It's beautiful."
