"I would definitely say Tranquility was a good place for my mom, my wife and I would visit her often and have either lunch or dinner with her which was always very tasty. The staff there is warm and friendly and I never had to worry about mom being bored because they have so many activities scheduled for the residents, in fact, I played many games with them myself and had a blast. My mother's room was very nice and clean too, she liked the fact that she had a housekeeper that would clean up daily and even make her bed!"

"My mother-in-law is a resident of The Pines of Goodrich. It is great; it is very nice. The staff members are wonderful. They provide around-the-clock care. My mother-in-law's room is spacious, beautiful, and very clean. Their dining area is very nice, clean, and accommodating. Their dining area is wonderful and more like a restaurant. It is a real gathering place. The food is good too. We never have to worry about my mother-in-law there. They're all wonderful, they know her, and they know us. It has been a real relief. The activities are very nice. It is pretty pricey, but it is worth it."

"The manager and supervisor from Courtyard Manor of Fenton came to visit me, and then the next day, the supervisor came with papers to sign. I could see no other recourse, and that sounds really good to me, so exactly a week later, I moved in. I'm very happy. Everybody is very pleasant. Everybody smiles. Everybody does whatever they can to be helpful. This is a really, really grand place to be. We had a birthday party yesterday for a lady. She turned 106. They had a big party, her whole family came to visit, and everybody partied down. There were young and older kids, and it was really cool. The staff is excellent. The food is excellent, too. It has a nice, big backyard. You can go out and enjoy the sun or the moon or whatever it is that's going on. It has a patio that's got a roof over it. Even if it's raining or snowing, you can go out on the back porch and enjoy the outdoors. That's absolutely beautiful."

"Shadowtree Lodge was very good. We were accepted there but they had to decline because they didn't have the 24-hour care that my dad needed. The staff was very friendly. I wish we could have gotten him in that place. It was nice. They had a bunch of board games and stuff. I saw the kitchen and the laundry room. It was just like a regular house. They had a big kitchen table where all the residents had dinner there. It was really nice and really clean. It looked like a lodge in the middle of the woods. It's beautiful."

"My sister has moved into Vibrant Life, The Lodge of Durand. It was by far the best, as far as staff, pricing, and what they had to offer. The other ones were much higher in price, didn't seem to have the room size, and weren't as up-to-date as Vibrant was. I have no complaints with the staff or the food. The food is fine. The activities appear to have helped her; they're excellent."

"Bickford of Saginaw was very pleasant. Our tour was very helpful and encouraging and gave us a sense of comfort if we were to take our mom there. They had art projects, either one on one or with a small group, music times, exercises, and I believe that people could even have their pets with them. Both group activities and one on one are available in memory care, especially when someone was new there. They have a lovely enclosed courtyard and a nice common area, like a living room with TV and a nice dining area. Everything looked pretty comfortable. It reminded me of a large home. It had a homey feel to it and the rooms had a variety of sizes, from smaller to larger. There were maybe four different room sizes and had easy-to-understand price guidelines."

"We've toured Symphony Linden and it was nice. The staff was very helpful and the food was wonderful. They had a gym, a lounge, and a room where you could go and watch movies. It was nice. The place itself was clean, there wasn't anything that was not nice about it."

"Vicinia Gardens is newer, and it has smaller ratio. There are only 20 residents, so my parent gets more individualized attention. It is typical with any assisted living facility, so the rooms are very small. There is not even a private bedroom. However, the room seems to be functioning well, and he seems to be getting the care that he should be getting there. He has only been there for a couple of months now. They have more of a family atmosphere, since there are only 20 residents living there. The staff is wonderful too. "

"My brother is a resident. So far the people there are very nice and accommodating and they seem to get along with what they do, but most importantly, he seems to like it there. I like it too -- it's in Bay city and it's small -- there's not a lot of clients there. I live in California and when I called them, they answered my questions. They have a salon and they do bingo. So far, I am satisfied with the care they provide."

"I went to Elizabeth House and this was the cheapest as far as dollar wise for the care, but we weren’t sure if there was appropriate care there for mom. She needed more care than they are able to provide. The staff were friendly and very good. It would be a good place for some people. "
