"My Mother was diagnosed with Lew Bodies Dementia. One of the more challenging Dementias to manage. The staff were OUTSTANDING with my Mother's ever changing needs. While visiting with my Mother on many occasions I was able to witness first hand the attention not only to my Mother but others who Lived in Courtyard Manor Swartz Creek with her. The staff GENUINELY CARE for those they assist. When I looked for an Assisted Living/Memory Care for my Mother the most important thing to me was not how fancy or expensive the building was or was not but rather how will the staff take care of my Mom. I felt Very much at Peace with my Mother at Courtyard Manor Swartz Creek. It's not the building or the business it's the GIVERS OF CARE. "We toured American House Grand Blanc. What I liked most was the very welcoming people. The leasing agent was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We had lunch there, and the kitchen staff came out and talked to us about substitutions as well as the menus. We also had someone on the cleaning staff who just came up to us and talked about what they offer: daily trash if you want it, weekly cleaning, and laundry facilities that are available. The facility was very clean. American House had the nicest apartment kitchen we saw at any place. American House, being a little bit older, had the nicest kitchen. So, rather than just a kitchenette, they had a little kitchen nook, and more flexibility in terms of a larger refrigerator and stuff. Although my sister won't use it, it was more of a kitchen than a kitchenette. From that standpoint, the American House had the nicest layout. I was happy with the American House."

"As a resident of Tranquility, I am very satisfied with my comfortable room and it's great to have a housekeeper to keep things tidy and a laundry lady too, both are so nice. Overall I like the food they serve here and it's great that they have an option to pick low sodium since I am salt sensitive and that there is a variety of dishes to choose from as well. No doubt I feel spoiled at times because the staff here is so caring and compassionate, if I need anything, all I have to do is call!"

"The 1 bedroom apartments are very spacious and the studio apartments are the perfect size for somebody who doesn’t need the separate bedroom, Housekeeping keeps the rooms spotless, The food is excellent. The chef goes above and beyond to make delicious meals for residents. Menus always have a variety of choices, The staff is top notch. I can’t say enough in the way they care for residents. You can tell they love what they do. They will take the time to answer any questions families may have. So happy my dad is a part of this community! I would give Devonshire more than 5 stars if that were an option."

"The tour at Brookdale Grand Blanc was good. It was a nice place, but it was not something that my friend could afford right then. The staff was very nice and informative. The people that I saw moving around in there seemed very happy and comfortable, so I would recommend it. The facility was clean and didn't smell. You can have pets. Everybody seemed pretty friendly and outgoing."

"My mother-in-law is a resident of The Pines of Goodrich. It is great; it is very nice. The staff members are wonderful. They provide around-the-clock care. My mother-in-law's room is spacious, beautiful, and very clean. Their dining area is very nice, clean, and accommodating. Their dining area is wonderful and more like a restaurant. It is a real gathering place. The food is good too. We never have to worry about my mother-in-law there. They're all wonderful, they know her, and they know us. It has been a real relief. The activities are very nice. It is pretty pricey, but it is worth it."

"We visited Courtyard Manor of Fenton. We were able to walk around the exterior. It looked like a lovely place. There are nice exterior areas that people can make use of. It was a very positive experience. We were able to be on the outside, but it looked well cared for. The staff seemed great, the one we met with anyway. We were able to see inside the window a little more and the room looked very spacious and comfortable."

"Shadowtree Lodge was very good. We were accepted there but they had to decline because they didn't have the 24-hour care that my dad needed. The staff was very friendly. I wish we could have gotten him in that place. It was nice. They had a bunch of board games and stuff. I saw the kitchen and the laundry room. It was just like a regular house. They had a big kitchen table where all the residents had dinner there. It was really nice and really clean. It looked like a lodge in the middle of the woods. It's beautiful."

"My sister has moved into Vibrant Life, The Lodge of Durand. It was by far the best, as far as staff, pricing, and what they had to offer. The other ones were much higher in price, didn't seem to have the room size, and weren't as up-to-date as Vibrant was. I have no complaints with the staff or the food. The food is fine. The activities appear to have helped her; they're excellent."

"I had an in-person tour of Brookdale Saginaw. There wasn't anything that I didn't like about the facility. As of right now, this is one of my top choices. They even invited me to speak to some of the residents as well, so that was very nice. I got to meet with the chef, and she was open and honest about everything. They showed me every nook and cranny of the building, so that was wonderful. They have a nice little apartment room, like a studio apartment. It has a nice little kitchenette in it where they provide a microwave, a refrigerator, a little sink, and little cabinets to keep dishes and whatnot. It has a personal bathroom with a shower. The staff was wonderful. The chef made a fresh loaf of banana bread and sent me home with a piece, which was very nice. There were no odors or anything in there. It was absolutely clean and beautiful."

"What I like about Bickford of Saginaw is that it seems nice and bright. The staff are friendly, and they mostly serve home-cooked food. The structure of the building is good, and it appears to be relatively clean. It feels homey, and there are plenty of places for people to go to watch TV or play games."

"We've toured Symphony Linden and it was nice. The staff was very helpful and the food was wonderful. They had a gym, a lounge, and a room where you could go and watch movies. It was nice. The place itself was clean, there wasn't anything that was not nice about it."
