"We chose Tranquility Estates for our parents because our aunt is a resident there and their staff is excellent. My parents have a 1-bedroom apartment with a bathroom, a little kitchenette, and a living area. The grounds are very nice and the location is very easy to get to. They have lots of things to do like movies, games, crafts, exercising, golf, and bocce ball. The place is brand new, so it's very nice."

"Everything was nice at The Pines of Burton. But the thing I didn't like was the price. For what they do as opposed to what the other place does, it was like $2,000 more, and I feel like that's just too much money. The rooms looked nice. Everything was great. The atmosphere was very good, and they were doing activities when I was there. They had someone calling out bingo for the people that were there. There were about four or five people playing bingo. They had an area where they take the clients in and do their hair; it's like a beauty shop. They have a room for theater, and they have a big screen TV in there. It looks very nice, but for the cost, I feel like it's taking so much away from my sister. The staff who gave the tour was good though."

"My mother has been in Brookdale Grand Blanc since April and is doing well. It's a very nice community, and they are kind to my mom. She needs a lot of care, and they do pretty well taking care of her considering they're an assisted living, not a skilled nursing home. The rooms are very nice. They keep them very clean, and they're very good about getting her laundry done and getting it back to her. The food is fine. Yesterday, they grilled hamburgers and hotdogs outside for Labor Day. They had coleslaw and a nice dessert. She's fine with the food. I've eaten there too, and I'm also fine with it. It's very pretty, and I like that there's a front porch with beautiful white rocking chairs on it. The people go out there and enjoy the outdoors. It has a little aviary that my mother just loves. They have bingo, a puzzle room, people coming in to do church services, etc., and they're having an ice cream social this Thursday. They do a nice job with the recreation for the people who want to participate. "

"I went toured here. That would have been ideal, but they didn't have any two-bedroom openings. They're excellent. I like the two bedrooms, two baths and it was just very nice. The staff during the tour was lovely. It was only one person, but we were exposed to others that worked there that were very nice. The common spaces were very nice and very relaxing. I didn't see any activities, but they were listed."

"Vicinia Gardens is further away from where I live, but the rooms are the best ones of all the places I looked. The people working there are wonderful. They have a doctor or a nurse to see my relative, but if he has an eye appointment, dental appointment, or something health related, I have to get in the car, go get him, and take him to the appointment. I like that it's small and that they have motion detectors because he wanders at night, and that the staff is there 24 hours for him. There's good communication between the director and myself. The food is good. "

"We chose here for my mother, and she has recently moved in. It's a quiet place, it's small, and the experience has been good. I like the room, I think it's good. They give them good care, they have things to do, even though she doesn't do it, but hopefully she will eventually. The location is not in town, and it's not busy. I've checked the menus, but I haven't tried the food."

"My dad moved into the memory care section in The Pines of Goodrich. They're able to take care of his needs, and it's almost like they can offer some of the services in a nursing home. I'm pretty happy with the staff. I like how clean the place is."

"Oliver Woods has been a lovely community for my mother-in-law. Verna talks about how caring and nurturing the staff is to her and the other residents. I have witnessed Kathy and Brandy get the residents involved in activities which has been such a huge asset for our mother! Verna’s room is so cozy and inviting. It’s a wonderful space that she has made it her own! The facility is always clean and well taken care of, including the grounds as well. Verna tells us how tasty the food is and how delicious every meal Cody prepares for them! I would highly recommend Oliver Woods to any elderly person looking for a safe, family environment to make it their new home! "

"I went to Living Waters Buell Lake. They were very cordial. They gave us a nice tour. It's a really nice place. Everything seemed new looking and open. They had good security. It's clean. The staff during the tour was very nice, pleasant, informative, and professional. They have a garden patio that was really nice. It's out in the country, so it's just nice. They had a beauty shop. It was homey. It had an open dining room, spacious, and well lit."

"I'm gonna be going to Village Manor. It's nice and clean, and everybody is very happy. My apartment is a typical 1-bedroom. The building is well-maintained and clean, and they have a courtyard."

The place is extremely clean, the residents all have smiles on their faces, and they seem to be very happy and very comfortable.
