"I think most of the nurses were really really nice but their level of urgency and knowledge seemed limited. I have visited a few nursing homes over the years and this one by far had the worst smell once you walked into the back halls. However they did have wonderful activities for the residents and were very sweet once my grandmother went on hospice and passed away. "

"My husband is at Fisher Senior Care and Rehab Center. I like it there very much. The staff have been wonderful. It's a very clean place. There's no odor in the place. They call me when they have to make a major change and see what I think about it. I would very much recommend it. However, the only reason I'm requesting a change is because I don't drive. It's hard for me to get over to see him, and I would like to see him every day. My husband has been very limited in what he can say, and he can't walk. He is put in a wheelchair now once a day, and they are trying for more often. He just fell out of a wheelchair because he bent over, so they're trying to get another wheelchair. He's very limited right now. I have talked with the therapist, and they do things with him. They want him to do more, but he's very, very weak. I can't take care of him, and I'm grateful that there are places. I think this is a good place. I like the way they talk to him. I think the value for the money is good."

"My mother is in Orchard Grove, and it's going well so far. It's open, very clean, and it seems to be organized. I think they may be short staffed, but they do a good job with what they have. They have a happy hour on Friday nights, they have some music, I see several bands come in every Friday and Saturday for old-time music, sometimes they have little games in the private areas for someone not as needy, and they have theme nights sometimes. One night was roaring 20's, they all had hats, they had themed decorations, and that was kind of cute. She is in a dual facility, which provides rehab and long-term care."

"Excellent facility and staff. My grandfather can be hard to please at 90 years old, but he loved the staff at regency at Grand Blanc. Everyone from admissions to the custodians were nothing short of amazing. My grandfather was transferred from Regency to an assisted living facility, which is also nice, but nothing compares to the caring staff he had at Regency. Thank you so much to Teesha, Linda, Lori, Nicole, Keisha, Lisa, the dietician (sorry I can’t remember her name), Vicky…. My grandfather LOVED Vicky. It’s only been one day since he left Rgency but we all miss the staff already!"

"Wellbridge Of Grand Blanc appeared clean. They appeared to have good staff. They had a variety of activities for the patients. If I could, I would have placed my sister there. Those were the two things that impressed me the most. They had a Starbucks inside the facility, so it reminded me of a nice hotel. The staff members I met were eager to help."

"I have an uncle in this facility and I think it is fantastic! yes, it is older, but you cannot beat the cleanliness and awesome staff. They take the time to see what each person needs and work hard to meet those goals. My uncle isn't as bad off physically, so they take him outside for walks and let him go outside to fill the bird feeders. They have taught him to play cards and other games, got him to participate in other things, that he normally would never have done. They offer so many activities for the residents and really do a lot of celebrating for holidays and birthdays. Love, love, love the staff! "

"The Bortz Health Care nursing home located in Lake Orion, Michigan has done an outstanding job with the residents. My grandfather has been a resident there for nine months now and I visit him frequently. The only concern I have with the staff at this Bortz facility is sometimes they are not as attentive as they should be. There has been several instances I have witnessed residents in need of assistance, usually with changing soiled clothing or needing help using the restroom, and staff left them unattended for up to an hour at a time. As an aging adult, it can already be quite embarrassing to lose control of bodily functions, and to be left sitting in it for any length of time adds to that.Aside from that, the facility is quite nice. Staff is extremely friendly and develops close bonds with residents. There are daily social activities that bring the residents together, often including music, games, and parties. Therapy dogs visit frequently, which many of the residents enjoy a great deal. Residents are given options for each meals, and in the event they are not interested in the menu items, staff will take requests.Overall, my grandfathers stay at Bortz has been a wonderful experience. He enjoys the privacy of his room, the staff, the interaction with other residents, and the meals. "

"My mom came from another large chain facility that so severely neglected her she ended up in the hospital for a week. At 95 that's quite tramatic! Hospital social worker helped us place her at Advantage and its wonderful! The staff is amazing! They treat her with care and respect. They answer her call light. She's keep clean. They answer questions. I would recommend advantage if you want great care for your loved one. "

"My sister is in Willowbrook Manor. They've been very good with her. It's clean. They seem very caring. She hasn't complained about the food. Her room has a bed, and there's a wooden shelving unit for her clothing, and she has a side table. The wooden shelving is very nice. I've seen the lounging room and they have a TV in there, couches and chairs, and it looks very clean and comfortable."

"My in-laws are residents of Mission Point of Holly and we liked it. It's a small place and brand-new, they recently rebuilt it. It has 66 beds and only 22 are occupied right now. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they offer activities to the residents."

"They treated her well. Treated our family nice. They gave the kids icecream. The place was quiet with good security. They put her in the newly remodeled section. She had a nice tv and large bathroom. The bed was an electric adjustable. They were opened untill late at night. They had two slot machines that were broke. Their decor was simple but colorful and they always had fresh flowers in the place. Their personal restaurant had great food! We ate thanksgiving dinner there. "
