"St. Anne's Mead is an older structure, but the staff has been there a very long time. Their rehab seems very complete and nicely targeted. The cost for the plan is median. My mother's enjoying it very much. The staff has been very friendly. She's also enjoyed the kitchen. They have a couple of rooms, but she's in a studio. They have programs like memory time where people go and talk about nostalgic things, and they have game times like Bingo, gambling, and cards. It's sponsored by the Episcopalian church, so they have a number of different Christian services throughout the week. There were other places where their physical plan was superior, but St. Anne's Mead really spoke a lot about building relationships and nobody talked about that anywhere else."

"I toured Regency At Troy. The main level is for rehab like surgeries and things like that, so it's more PT and OT, and that area was excellent. The woman who ran it was fantastic. She was open and honest. Then when I went upstairs to where my friend would be, the facility was beautiful, but there was nobody there. There was one resident there who had dementia in that big living room by herself speaking out. It was horrible. So, a beautiful facility, and there were 2 or 3 people at the desk that did nothing. I walked through the whole place and I didn't see anybody else. It was very expensive, and I was not impressed by what would be for my friend. For someone who was rehabbing after surgery, that part of the facility appeared to be wonderful. It was very sterile. It's more like a hospital environment."

"Shout out to Cookie, she is perfect for the position with her kind, loving and bubbly spirit. She shows each of her residence that she cares and by keeping their spirits high with all of her wonderful activities. There is no gloom and doom at this facilities. Just love and compassion. Thanks to Cookie for a job of love and human compassion that we rarely see these days."

"My dad has moved into SKLD in West Bloomfield. They have good, caring staff, and they have great visitation hours. It's clean, and they're willing to work with families. They have activities; he can't do them right now, but they have plenty of activities listed. Everyone has been polite and accommodating."

"While at MediLodge of Southfield I had great care. The physicians were very attentive to my needs. I was informed about all care that was going to happen. The therapy department was wonderful. And I am now back home and doing great. "

"My mom is a resident of West Bloomfield Health & Rehabilitation Center. It's nice. It's clean. The staff is good, and we love it. She likes bingo. Twice a week she goes to bingo."

"My dad was a resident of Notting Hill of West Bloomfield. It was very good, and the staff was very good, too. They were very professional and did really good physical therapy. My dad has a feeding tube. It was nice and clean. It was also easy to find people. You get lost in some places, but I never really got lost there. It's very nice."

"My mother went right from the hospital to rehabilitation at Pomeroy in Rochester Hills. It's located behind their assisted living facility. Driving up, it was beautiful and landscaped. I was impressed. The staff was very attentive. When we pushed the button, they came right away. We just saw the staff through the windows, but I was pleased with everybody. Mom did not like one aide. She said one aide would talk real harsh to her, but everybody else she said was real nice."

"I want to THANK Renee Thursday November 26, 2020 for making it possible for me to visit my friend Carol W. during Thanksgiving eve . I had not been able to see her from her 2nd floor room during this PANDEMIC. And she was recently on the first floor in a room that Renee allowed me to visit thru the outside window. "We found this place to be by far one of the cleanest and nicest nursing homes we looked into for my father in law. we were very happy with the attention and care he received here. The rehab program is excellent and got him walking again after a stroke. He raved about the food there. I think that was his favorite thing about his stay. We were eventually able to bring him to live with us."

"I'm speaking from my heart, understanding that my opinion has the possibility of influencing someone positive or negative. I'm basing my opinion on a comparison to a previous location. Westoaks is hands down the best choice. My brother is a long-term residence at Westoaks, and I've actually noticed the care from the new Administrator and staff has changed, better interaction with staff, more activities for residents to do. I believe that the best hasn't happen with the adjustments at WestOaks, I'm going to volunteer my time to make my brother stay better. The word says if you want friends, you have to show yourself friendly. The most important fact for me is, there's genuine concern for resolving issues rather than ignoring or sweeping them under the rug."

"My dad has dementia and Beaconshire Nursing Center has place there that takes care of people like my him. Everything is all good. If it wasn't good, I wouldn't have put him there. The staff is real nice. They have a movie night and it was the last activity I had been to. I haven't eaten there yet but the food that they cook looks real good. The only thing I have a problem with is that it's just so far from where I live but it's still okay. "

"This is very old facility no phones in the rooms. The staff sounds nice and when THEY want to can be helpful but if it’s a bad day for them and they decide that you have called to much, because your love one is having some problems, then they conveniently don’t answer the phone. When you do get someone on they phone you may or may not speak to your family members nurse. Something so simple as to speak to your 79 year old father who, in my minds eye may be in distress, becomes a problem. I tried several times and for several hours to HAVE to tell the staff nurse that if they don’t put my father on the phone right now I had only one last option and that was to call the police and 911. That is now desperate I got. All I wanted to do was hear my father’s voice! Why all this resistance was very concerning that is why I said what I said about the police and 911. After my 5 hour ordeal once I heard my father’s voice and could hear from him he was ok, I was fine. Was that really to much to ask for? REALLY! The “SECOND” floor nursing needed to GREATLY improve!"
