"I toured Allegria Village. The price for the assisted living that they offer was another option for me. I just didn't like the pricing. Sometimes I think a lot of these facilities, not all senior citizens have private funds. Most senior citizens are on a limited or fixed income and can't afford the type of care that they need. They need to make it more affordable for the senior citizens, more facilities where their income is based, and where the housing or assisted living is based upon their income. They need to improve on that. Then if you do have to go to the insurance, making the availability for the Medicaid, that they're accepting the Medicaid insurance, having more offerings for those, not just having a limited number of beds. I'm sure there's a waiting list to get it. It was on a waiting list because that's what she did. She put my name on a waiting list. The staff that I met was very courteous. The location was an easy place for me or my other family members to get to if we needed to get there in a hurry. I did like that, but the overall appearance, because that's a major thing for me, I know not everything is going to be state of the art and things of that nature, but the overall appearance, when I say as far as cleanliness and things of that nature, it appears to be on the surface a very clean place. In some places, I would feel uncomfortable leaving my mom. The advocate who made the appointment and showed me around was very nice. They contact and follow up with me for scheduling appointments. They're very good at that. They did that in a timely manner. I didn't get to see the entire facility, but she did give me a walkthrough and things of that nature. The overall appearance was spacious."
