"My father-in-law is a resident of The Pines Senior Living. The place has a studio, is spacious, and has an administrator who can get things going and make things happen. The food is okay, and the place is pretty clean. The size of his room might be around 900 square feet. He has a small kitchen, a living room, a bedroom, and a decent-sized bathroom. The dining area is spacious."

"My mother moved into American House. They're very friendly, everything is up to code, it's beautiful, and my mother is very happy with it. She has a 2-bedroom on the first floor, it's huge, and she loves it. They have Bingo, a pool table, puzzles, exercise, a TV downstairs in the living room, and they love to watch the ballgame. The have a gazebo right outside her room, people go out there in the evening, and it's really nice. They have a bus that takes them shopping, to doctors' offices, and to the bank. The hallways were just redone. They just put a breakfast bar in the dining room, and in the entryway, they've got a place for coffee, drinks, cereal, and pastries 24 hours a day. The food was delicious. The staff was very friendly, and everybody seemed to know the residents by name. It's right next to a Meijer's shopping center."

"The things I like best about Villa Bella of Clinton Township are the size of the rooms and the cost, which is important to me. The VA is going to pay for a big part of the cost, but I still have to pay for some of it. They also have three meals a day. I enjoyed the meal that I had there, it was good. The staff members I met during the visit were nice and friendly. They were patient when I had a hard time walking."

"We went to Baldwin House Senior Living Lakeside. It was very nice. We liked it a lot. It was nothing like the other ones. It was like an apartment feeling. They had walk-in closets and a walk-in pantry. We wish my mother-in-law would have gone with us. The staff member who showed us around was really nice and very informative. Everything looked clean. The cafeteria was nice. She showed us both the one-bedroom and the two-bedroom, and they were both nice. There was a lot of space in the kitchen and living room, and a lot of cupboard space."

"My stepdad will move into Windemere Park Warren. He's just in assisted living. He could come and go if he wants. There's a doctor there. There's someone to do his feet. They have so many amenities there. It's a wonderful place. I told him I would love to live there myself if I were a senior citizen. The atmosphere when you first come in is really nice. The staff was very friendly and concerned. Everything was in its place, and everything was in order. Even when I went to look at their food, everything was in order. Everything was clean, and that's what I like. I checked their dining area, and it looks like a regular restaurant."

"We recently moved my mom into the independent living and we are loving it! She is so much more social than she was at home. The executive director, Caity, has been amazing at helping us navigate her move. The front receptionists are very helpful and always welcoming us with a smile. The activity director, Jessica, keeps her and everyone busy throughout the day and is great at communicating the upcoming events. We are looking forward to spending the holidays at storypoint! My moms apartment is perfect for her too. She has a washer/dryer and full kitchen. She gets housekeeping services and has a meal package. She loves not having to cook everyday too! All the residents and staff seem happy to be there which makes it feel so much more welcoming."

"I visited the independent living community of Stonefield of Clinton Township, and I liked its location. I had actually been kind of watching when they were building it. I kind of had my eye on that for a while, and the location is perfect. The inside of the facility is spectacular and absolutely beautiful. When I first visited there, they had a salon. They no longer have it, but they said they are going to be bringing it back. The size of the apartments is perfect. I like it because there's individuality on the outside of their doors. They have a little landing or something, so the residents can decorate the outside of their facilities and the patio. Everything is beautiful about the place. There's a Walgreens drug store across the street, a Kroger's, and a lot of other places like grocery areas for the seniors, so it's a perfect location. They even have fast food around if they like that. The young lady who did the tour was excellent and explained everything. She was very thorough. It's a spectacular, superb building for seniors to be in. I highly recommend it. They have programs that they offer for the seniors, so there's really no need to even leave the facility. There are working elevators in there, which is a plus for a lot of people who can't get around. It's a newly-built building, it's still fairly new, so everything seems to be in perfect working order. The way they have the building decorated was excellent, so it's a nice environment for seniors."

"We liked Pine Ridge of Garfield. The rooms were nice, and the food was great there. They had a stove, but the only thing I don't like is that I would like a washer and dryer in my room instead of sending out the laundry. The staff was very nice. The food was very good. They had a little garden and a patio that you could go out."

"I like the staff at American House Troy. They're nice to my mother and us as a family. They are very courteous and concerned. The rooms are nice and big enough for a walker or a wheelchair. Cleanliness is really good. The food delivery is good. The meals appear to be very good, too, nutritionally based. The residents get a choice. Every day they can choose between one item or another item and my mother seemed to like the food there. They have a beauty salon and a dining room. They offer transportation if you want to go to a doctor's appointment or shopping trips if you want to go to a Myers. They have entertainment that they bring in. They have games and a little community area where a lot of residents can work jigsaw puzzles. They have a medical team on staff as well. Rent is kind of high, but overall considering the rent in other places and for what you get, it's way more."

"Rose Senior Living - Clinton Township was a very nice community. My sister's mother-in-law was there, and I got to visit there quite a bit. She loved it. I was very impressed with that. I think they keep it up real good. The staff was good, too. She played bingo about 3 or 4 times a week and that's one of the things I was looking at when I was viewing senior living places. Not only bingo but even a place to have conversations or socialize with people. My sister's mother-in-law was out all the time there. We could barely see where she was at because she was socializing."

"I have moved into Park Place, A Signature American House Community. I like the size of it, that it's not too small. I also like the fact that it is very well-maintained. Everyone in charge has been most helpful before I moved in, during moving in, and after I've moved in. I have not gotten to know a lot of the neighbors because I'm in a wheelchair and on oxygen, so I haven't been out and about, but the service here has been outstanding. They're absolutely beautiful. Everyone who comes in here is amazed at how well kept up they are, and just the quality of what they have used to design the rooms and everything. I moved in in November and then I just moved into a different room Saturday. I chose a studio apartment as opposed to a one-bedroom because I don't need that much room. There are lunches, there's going out shopping, there are doctor's visits, and there are activities here all the time like craft activities and bingo. There's just about everything you could want to do is here. And if you can't find it, you can ask for it. There's a lovely library, a very nice pool table for those who like to play pool, an area for playing cards, and an area just for sitting in front of a fireplace talking to your neighbor. The food is unbelievable. I have not had a bad meal here. It is excellent."

"I think Madison Heights Co-op Apartments is an excellent choice for placement for someone who prefers to live independently and is looking for an apartment for themselves, a friend, or a family member to live in. The common areas are beautiful and the surrounding areas are also beautiful, nice, very quiet, and very low crime rate areas if any. Madison Heights Co-op apartments are affordable low income beautifully maintained and structured apartments. They are like living in luxury style apartments and the surrounding neighborhoods are also very nice, quiet and beautiful. It is a 6 floor senior community apartment. They provide their seniors with Birthday parties, Luncheons for their residents, dinners for their residents and many other services and amenities. They also offer their residents a building van and this senior community takes many trips in their onsite van; to the casino, Frankenmuth, malls, etc. This senior apartment building has 151 apartments for their seniors to live in a luxury and affordable life style for those seniors that are on low income budget or a low fixed income budget. They can have an increased chance to live in elegance and luxury also. Madison Heights Co-op Apartments is an ideal and a great place for any senior to enjoy their golden years and enjoy a very nice suburban life style. The residents there are a team together and they like it there. They enjoy ice cream together there. They socialize and interact with one another there also and they seem to be very happy there. They offer their seniors there an array of services and amenities there. They have their very own library, recreational and activity rooms, central air conditioning, heat all are also included in their rent. They provide building activities for all of their seniors to enjoy. They provide Social activities on a daily basis for their residents. Can you believe all of this for a low income and affordable budget? They also offer their residents coffee shop for them to meet each other and socialize and interact with one another on a daily basis. In general, I would rank this facility a five stars rating for their excellence and expertise for providing luxury apartments for low income seniors to live in. "

"I toured American House East I. I was impressed, and it was more impressive than the other 2 places I went to. I'm still waiting for an opening there. When I drove up, it looked like a very nice campus. The buildings were spread around, the lawns were mowed. There wasn't a lot of commotion outside or anything, so The outside looked good. And then when I went on the inside, it was huge inside, different places like a gym, and a dining room. The staff was excellent, a professional lady, worked with me very well, and she's very impressive. There are a lot of activities going around. I just wish I was living there right now so I can get involved and all that. They put the groups together and they talked about different things about aging, or they talked about exercises to do, to make you feel better."
