"I didn't feel rushed, and the staff were easy to talk to. It has all the same features as the other facility we visited, just a different atmosphere from the other Pine Ridge facility. "

"The staff is wonderful and friendly at the time they gave the tour in American House Sterling Meadows. They are very nice, and I can't say anything bad about it. I saw the dining room, and it was very nice. I think they had entertainment that day, so there were people in the lobby or community center. They had a Christmas bazaar going on or something like that. There was Christmas music playing, and lunch time was going on. I didn't like the rooms because I thought they were old looking and very dingy. Everything is very nice in the lobby. It is a three story building, and it used to be a single apartment. It is just an older building. I was looking for a place that was all on one floor so my mom didn't have to deal with an elevator. "

"Villa Bella of Clinton Township was an awesome community. They had a lot of stuff. It was very nice and very clean. The people were very nice. The lady during the tour was very nice and very knowledgeable. The apartments were nice. The bathrooms had the bars for the elderly people, and I was very relieved with that. The kitchenette was nice. They had lots of amenities. They had outdoor golfing, bingo, and a room where you could go read. It looked very well maintained. They had two dining areas. They were very nice. One was like a bistro, and the other one was like a regular dining room."

"It was very nice. It was very good. Everything was attractive and very well laid out. They had pretty much anything you would want in terms of activities. The staff was very nice and very accommodating. We looked at their one-bedroom unit that has a little kitchenette. "

"We really liked Windemere Park. They take them to the stores once a week and had some medical staff available. We liked that they can stay there and move into different levels of care as needed without moving out. The price was pretty good. The food looked very good."

"My father and stepmother are residents at StoryPoint Clinton Township. My father is in assisted living and my stepmother is in memory care but they're across the hall from each other so he can go visit her anytime he wants and the staff has been wonderful with the whole process. The staff made the transition very smooth. My dad was already in a smaller assisted living facility, but it could not accommodate the two of them living together, so they moved into StoryPoint together. The staff was very aware and very informative on how my stepmom was doing and what her care needs should be and going through that transition because she was living at home. They're so forthcoming and so helpful and helping guide us in the best way to make sure that she's cared for. They've given my father wonderful care. The wellness director there has been fantastic. She responds, she's always there, no matter what I need, she is very quick to respond, even the biggest or smallest things, she's been so helpful and so caring. It's not what I've experienced at other places. It's phenomenal. All the med techs and the certified nurse assistants that I see because it's 24 hours have all been wonderful. I couldn't ask for a better fit for both of them. The rooms are very nice. They had been in a one-bedroom apartment and it was very spacious. It's a brand new facility, so everything was very nice, but because my dad sleeps in his lift chair, he doesn't need the bedroom. They said if she's going to move over to memory care, there's no need for him to have all this space unnecessarily because you're essentially paying more money for a room that he never goes into. He's also not mobile, so that adds another layer of extra care that he needs, so we moved him over to a smaller apartment. When it was time for my dad's wife to move over to memory care, they moved all of her furniture for us and got her moved in over there. They knew how to handle the situation in the best way. They moved beds and everything. They just have gone above and beyond. It's only been open a year. It's really nice, neat, clean, well decorated, and spacious. They have musical performers at least once a week. He doesn't really go to the other activities because of his limited mobility, but they always come down and ask him. It has been much a much better food experience than where he was before. Where he was before, he would oftentimes have digestive issues and that has not been a problem here. They have a daily menu and each day it's different. They get a lot of options and then if they don't want that, there are more options for them. There's always something going on because I'm also on their Facebook page and they invited me to some other social media pages, so I can know about the activity. If my dad maybe doesn't want to go or doesn't remember, I'm able to tell him. They're both very well cared for. It's been a good solution for all that they're going through. I think it's worth every penny."

"I toured Stonefield of Clinton Township. They were pretty clean and looked nice. They were very polite and nice and walked around with us, but didn't have the answers to some of our questions. They have a dining room, but she said they haven't gotten that program up and moving yet because there weren't enough residents, so that's what I was concerned about."

"I will be moving into Pine Ridge of Garfield. I liked the tour I had. They have field trips, shopping, card games, and all kinds of activities. The apartment I saw had a bed, a refrigerator, a stove, a kitchenette, heating, and electricity. It's a one-bedroom with a living space. The facility was not perfect, but it's very nice."

"The staff in American House is very pleasant and courteous. They were very helpful in as far as showing me exactly what I thought I would like to have in a place. They showed me different types of two-bedroom apartments. I think they had a lot of activities. "

"The staff at Rose Senior Living Clinton Township was very agreeable and very nice. They were accommodating. The rooms were clean when we looked at them, although they were a little smaller than I thought. They have bingo and they show movies. They had a separate beauty shop, and you pay extra to use it. If you need a delivery to your room instead of eating in the dining room, there's a charge for that. The place was very clean."

"Park Place is very nice and it’s close to where I live so it’s very convenient. They took us around and showed us some rooms. The rooms were like little apartments and were very nice; you can bring in your own furniture. The staff was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information. "

"The rooms and living spaces are light, open and well thought out. The dining area is wonderful with a varied menu consisting of food service and from scratch recipes - both delicious, nutritious and creative. The activities along with the staff are the really the shining stars in this beautiful facility. They love their job and it shows in their smiles and caring. My parents are more engaged on a daily basis with other people, than they were in their house. There is ALWAYS something going on during my weekly visits. All the benefits of community with none of the worries that come with home ownership. All in all I give them 5 stars!!!"

"American House was nice-looking and clean. It is also big. I got a good feel to it. I would recommend it. They have lots of activities. They have a monthly calendar for them. They did have a nice cafeteria. It was large and clean. I looked at one of their apartments and it was the smallest one but it was sort of under construction. It seemed fine though. I think I think if I were to put my aunt somewhere, it might be here at American House. It would be nice though if the staff showed me more than just one apartment. "

"I went to American House East I. I liked everything about it. It was quiet. It was very clean. The people were friendly. When I went in, the seniors there were very friendly, and it made you feel comfortable when you walked through the door. I didn't know exactly where I was going and they assisted like, hey, go around there, see such and such and everything. So that right there walking through the door helped me feel a little more comfortable. In the quarters themselves, the living quarters, I went in, they were very clean. It was nice and spacious, exactly what a person would want. The first place I went, the person was wonderful. And the second place I went, the person was wonderful. She took me all through and showed me everything. They were very thorough in their job and they explained and answered my questions and shared things about the facility that I would need to know if I were to move in. So they were excellent in both locations. I was very, very, very impressed. It was very clean. That's the first thing that I recognized going in. I was looking around. It was very, very clean and each building was very clean. The first building was extremely clean."
