"My wife is a resident of StoryPoint Clinton Township. She was the first person to live in her apartment, so her apartment is brand new. It's a studio apartment to save money. It's a very nice location and it's a beautiful facility. The staff is really, really good. I wish that it didn't change so much, because for instance, like last year when we gave out Christmas gifts to about 8 or 10 of the best aides that take care of my wife, four or five of those people are gone. They've gone on to other places. I wish the turnover wasn't so bad, and I wish they could maintain and keep those best people, but I know it's difficult for them to do that. Their people are well-trained and they keep breaking in new people all the time. There are different floor plans. She's in the last stages of Parkinson's. It takes a Hoyer lift to lift her out of the bed and maybe once or twice a week, they lift her out of the bed with a Hoyer lift to either give her a shower or to have her sit in a wheelchair for a little while. Besides the Hoyer Lift, they have another device called Sit to Stand, which is a little bit similar to the Hoyer lift. They're both very useful gadgets to get a person out of the bed, to stand them up, turn them and sit them in a wheelchair. She's there for assisted living, but we pay a little over $9,000 a month and $4,800 of that goes for her room and board and $4040 goes for her long-term care package. She's a level five care person there. They have levels one through six. There are musicians that come in. She can hear them from her room but she can't see them or get out to see them. They have all kinds of entertainment that comes there. They have people come in with pets. For instance, there's a lady that comes in and brings dogs and they'll come into the room and my wife can pet a dog. It's got everything that you can imagine. It's got a huge foyer and atrium. It's got restaurants inside. It's got a grand piano. It's wonderful. As a visitor, I can enjoy some of those things. The chefs there are very good. They keep the rooms clean. They keep the facility very clean. Because it's relatively new, the parking is really accessible. There are multiple entrances. There's a back entrance where assisted living and memory care are and you come in and you sign a book and then you can go straight in. Someone has to help you exit when you exit. There are fire metal doors. Many of the meals are fried, and my wife has gained weight being there. Of course, she's immobile, but there are just too many fried chicken and too much French fries. There are so many activities that they do. They'll have barbecues outside and they'll have games that they can play. There's a lot for them to do if you're able to do them."

"I visited Rose Senior Living - Clinton Township. It was a lovely facility. The apartments were very nicely laid out. The staff was very helpful, and the activity director was awesome. They have assisted, independent, and memory care. They have activities. They have buses to take the residents to shops or restaurants. They had an exercise room, a bistro, and happy hour. They had all kinds of wonderful things. The facility was perfect. It's beautiful. I would go there, but it was just a little more expensive than what I can afford."

"I looked at Stonefield of Clinton Township. It was beautiful. They had a very small balcony, which was nice. They had a washer and dryer, but it was a small one. You had to take your large stuff to a different floor. They had nothing going on because there were only 16 people, and all they wanted to do was stay in their places. It's not what I was looking for. The place was very nice. It was brand new, and they had brand-new appliances that hadn't been used. Everything was new, but there wasn't anything to do. The tour experience was very nice, and the lady was very nice. However, the people just stayed in their apartment."

"I toured Pine Ridge of Plumbrook yesterday. Everybody seemed very friendly, knowledgeable, and provided the information I asked. The food was very good. The community was beautiful. They serve three meals a day. The common spaces were beautiful and newly renovated. The room sizes were very nice. The bathrooms allowed shower chairs, which is what my dad needs. It's very nice. The staff was excellent."

"My uncle has moved into American House Sterling Woods. I like the staff. They're very friendly, very helpful, and very caring. The accommodations are nice, clean and updated. The location is excellent. It's near my house and near regular shopping. They have an onsite nursing staff, which is very helpful. The facility is very clean. The food is good; it's not the greatest, but it's not like eating hospital food."

"It was really nice and in a convenient location. The food was good. The people were friendly and attentive. The staff showed us around, and it was nice. "

"The people at Pine Ridge of Garfield were friendly. We liked that there was a courtyard for gardening. We liked the apartments, and we liked the choices in the food department. We did try a meal. They were painting and updating everything, so that looked nice. They offer freshly prepared from scratch soups every day. We saw some common areas, but I wasn't really impressed with them because they were very small."

"I looked for a place for my mom and visited American House Sterling Woods Senior Living. The place was clean and the hallways were very pleasant. They had good sized rooms and I liked the kitchen and courtyard. Everyone seemed involved in the activities. I was not able to try the food since I was on a special diet, but it looked fine. I knew some of the residents who lived there and if they did not like the food, they made something else for them. They did not have any complaints at all. "

"My mom is here, and it is an excellent place. We had a little problem with one of the nurses there, but she is no longer there, so it is much better now. She has a private room, and it is very spacious and very nice. Before mom got worse, she played bingo and all those available activities. I have eaten there lots of times, and the food is excellent. I would absolutely recommend this place to others. "

"When we visited American House, the staff was fine. The food was good. The dining room and the rooms were nice. The facility seemed clean enough. However, it was not what we needed, and it was too expensive. "

"To my knowledge and how I've been treated living here, I give Windemere Park Warren a five. Everybody does a great job. If you need help, they're there. Whatever you need, they're right on the ball helping you out. Every time I needed help, they were there to assist me. They do a good job with housekeeping. Every week, they clean my house, and they do a beautiful job. Every two weeks they do my laundry, and they do a beautiful job. They have all kinds of activities going on. They have bingo, happy hour, barbecue, and a pool table, and they're topnotch for entertainment. The lady does a great job. I'm definitely getting my money's worth and my kids love it."

"My husband was in hospice at Vista Springs Washington Place. It was way too expensive, but the place was very nice. Once the staff understood my husband's needs, they were very good. He had one of the larger rooms which was very nice. The location was really good and easy to get to, just five minutes from where I work."

"I have a friend that lived in American House. They have assisted living, independent living, and a section almost like a nursing home. The apartments were lovely. She had a 2-bedroom apartment, and it was very, very nice. It was well appointed. She did not care for the food. They were very stingy with the food. They did a lot of day trips. They took people to grocery stores and stuff like that. They had a lot of activities if the people chose to go to them. "
