"I visited this facility last week and I was very pleased with cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. I am most definitely considering Assurance assisted living to help with my mom. I feel like she would be in great hands here. The one young lady Kiara was very sweet and answered all of my questions. She even was even open to some suggestions I made and said that she would consider accommodating them.Over all it was a pleasant visit and they are in my top 3."

"I wasn't happy with Lockwood of Lyon because they've reduced the quantity and quality of the meals. I spoke with the administrator and with the head chef, and she has agreed to review the exact meals that I was complaining about and she also assured me that she will investigate the quality of the meats that we are getting. It's rather nice because it's set way back off the road on a large parcel of land, so we have a curving drive into the development. It's a very large apartment complex. We are on the very back corner, southwest, and we face small woods. It's nice because we have a lot of wildlife. Last night we had two deer in the yard, this morning, several rabbits, and a ton of birds. It's really like being out in the country. They have a rather small staff. There are two ladies who are cleaners, and they clean extensively long hallways. They also do minimal cleaning in all the rooms, if you want, or you can pass on the cleaning. The hallways are not carpeted. They are simulated wood on plastic tiles, so that we don't have the problem of the nasty carpets that some of the places are showing bad wear. We have a 12-passenger van that will take you shopping around the area and also to the banking center of the community every week. Once or twice a month, we do either a men's group or a women's group to a restaurant or even the mixed group. Everything is here in this community, so it's very nice even if you don't have a vehicle."

"I kind of liked American House Westland Joy Senior Living. The rooms were nice and clean. The whole place was very nice. They had an exercise room and activities like shopping, outings, and church. I saw a one-bedroom unit that was clean, spacious, nice, and well kept. "

"We went to Ashford Court. It was a one level nice lobby area. We did see more people out and about, and that one which was welcoming, more people in the dining room, and it could have just been the time of day that we were there. The gentleman that showed us around was very, very personable, and very nice, very informative. They have courtyards, small patio areas, some apartments didn't have access to do, and some did. I think everybody had access to it. It's just some apartments opened up onto the courtyards and patios."

"The apartments at American House Westland Hunter were clean and modern. Seta was very kind, very helpful, and was very pleasant to talk with. She and I just connected. They just didn't seem to have an exercise area, but they did a very good job when it comes to its upkeep and cleanliness. It's near a church, a mall, and other stores; yet it's in a quiet park-like area. It's away from business, but within two to three blocks of most businesses I would use."

"Our dear mother is a resident. We found facility to be beautifully decorated with large fireplace in front sitting room. Meals are tasty,friendly staff,grounds landscaped nicely & facility always neat/clean. Numerous outings/activities.Highly recommended. "

"My husband and I moved into a brand new 1 bedroom unit in March 2024. We compared the cost of continuing to live in our home, with all the stress, upkeep, taxes, insurance, etc., to the cost of living here. It was actually less expensive to move here! All our meals are provided as well as weekly housekeeping. The staff are very professional and friendly. We have made many new friends here. The meals are good with lots of variety plus there is a pantry where you can stop by and get a snack 24/7. You also have a full size kitchen if you wish to cook. Plus a full size washer and dryer! The seated shower is the perfect size. There are lots of activities to choose from, onsite as well as offsite. They offer transportation within a 10 mile radius. There is a pharmacy and hair salon on site, plus a fitness center. Our doctor's offices are right across the street, Kroger is within walking distance. There is a waiting list so don't wait too long to come for a visit."

"My sister moved into Rose Senior Living at Providence Park. It's working out very well for both of us. And, I couldn't ask for a better staff there. They are good both to her and for helping me through everything. She has a one-bedroom apartment, the smallest one-bedroom apartment, and has very adequate space. She's busy with chair yoga and balance exercises, bingo, Rummikub, and lots of other activities all day long. She's out of her room close to 8:00 to 8:00. They have a lending library, a garden arbor, several courtyards, an excellent fitness room, and a separate physical therapy room. She's taking physical therapy for balance also. And they have a hair salon, chair massages, nannies and patties, and many movies a week."

"I toured Brookdale Brighton Michigan. I hope they let him live there because it's close to my home. It's a very nice facility. It's beautiful. The staff was awesome. The rooms were very nice."

"My mom has been here since April and for several months I was extremely happy with the facility, the staff was great when it came to the care of the residents. The only problem I had in the beginning was missing clothes and shoes. Recently the staff and administrators have changed and not for the better, I don’t understand why the change because the old staff was the best, no one is hardly available to address my concerns and the nursing staff is not as professional like the old staff which I wish could come back. At this point I’m looking for a new facility especially since they have increased their fees $200.00 and their services are no longer worth it. The only thing that is consistent from the time my mom moved in would be the activity director Bridgit, she is amazing and has my mother very active. It saddens me to see this beautiful place and staff in the beginning to change so drastically to the point I’m removing my mother from her comfort zone but I can’t keep her there. We had a life scare and Jatonya noticed she wasn’t breathing right called ems which I was told had it been any later she wouldn’t be here today. She is no longer there and that’s sad she was excellent at her job and I don’t feel this new staff are as attentive as the old staff, while I visit no one comes and check on her which they never know when we visit for this unhappiness I feel now she’s going to leave as soon as I find another happy place. I’m so sad to do this to my mom but the only thing to keep her there would be to return the old staff completely"

"Staff was always very friendly, but I would have like my grandfather to have more interaction with the staff. He hardly ever left his room and nobody ever really came to spend time with him. Also, he ended up with a lot of medical issues that went un-noticed by the staff, which was very disconcerning. All in all, it was pretty much what was to be expected from a long term care facility, but wish that we could strive to do more for the elderly. "
