The rooms are filthy, fixtures in bathrooms need maintenance, linens are stained and thread bare. The food is awful. CNA's are often lazy, slow to respond and in some instances rude. Some of the LPN's are rude and/or lazy; for example my loved one was missing medication multiple times due to nurses failing to reorder medication when the supply ran low. There is also constant employee turnover. Unless you have no other option - DO NOT take your loved one here. My loved one was hospitalized after staying at Medilodge and was discharged to a different facility, which is very good. I didn't realize how awful Medilodge Stetling Hgts was until seeing how much better our current facility is.

This place is terrible. I would not put my worst enemy in there! My boyfriend is in there, and his heater does not work. They never answer the call lights and never do laundry. Now that he has COVID and the room is in quarantine, they don't want to bring him his dinner or clean his room! They are just too lazy to suit up to come in. He walks with a walker and the lady that bought his dinner in tonight wanted him to come to the door to get his tray. I have contaccted the state.

I honestly believe this is the worst place to send the worst enemy to!! My mom was transferred to the hospital at 4:00 in the morning and this place didn’t bother calling me letting me know anything. I found out once my mother got to the hospital that she was being admitted

WE have been dealing with Medilodge of Sterling Heights for about 10 years. Every thing used to be so nice. Now nothing to do with the Covid-19. My uncle Barry has been there for about 4 years. He desperately his tube that goes to his bladder every month. They will only do it if we yell at The director. The head Nurses will not call back. The Social worker won't call back. He's been moved 3 times not telling us why. What does it take to change a tube once a month.Another UTI.

Place needs to be shut down. Poor medical care, lack of activities, good luck getting a return phone call about yr relative. Not enough help, very poor attitudes due to overworked employees. Please dont even bother visiting this place. U will be sad, its such a downer of an environment.

Just so many issues. Poor medical care, and no kindness. I just think everyone has too much work/not enough help. Some workers r nice but overall sad environment.

Our experience with Medilodge of Sterling Heights has been good. My mother-in-law is sharing a room and she's got enough space. The food is very good. I like the people working with her a lot. It's an older place, and one dining room had a little remodeling and another one still got the older look to it. It's winter, so most of their activities are indoors. They have birthday parties and movie nights.

RN unit 300 are very good. Communication with their resident's relative is very productive. Sara, Vicka and Stacey are very good.

My husband has improved considerably since he has been at Medilodge of Sterling Heights. The food is really good and the aides are really nice. The staff is pretty good and if there's something that needs to be done, they will do it. Sometimes it has a smell, but they clean it up right away. My husband gets what he wants.

This facility is not capable of operating a professional establishment. The director lacks compassion. The cna' s need better training. I do not recommend this facility to anyone. The nurse brought an empty oxegyen tank when my friend cod not breath and if it were not for the paramedics getting there swiftly then the situation could have been fatal. Never received an apology from staff. They are incompetent and the management lacks motivation and compassion.

Highly disappointed with this rehab facility. My wife has been a resident for a little over a week. In that time she has not received a prescribed and necessary medication on three different occasions because "they were out of the medication". On at least one of those occasions the medication was actually there and stored right where it was supposed to be. My wife is currently unable to get out of bed. One day the facility failed to deliver her breakfast or lunch until I came in after 1:30 pm and demanded that she receive her lunch. The call for care button is a joke. The typical wait after pushing the button is around 30 minutes. I have observed response times of well over an hour. On two separate occasions, the support staff has yelled at her for asking when her pain meds are due. She has lain in soiled undergarments for hours because of no response from the call button. Most of the nurses are good but the support staff is very spotty. I would not recommend this facility for anyone.

My husband was at Medilodge of Sterling Heights. He had very good care there. Everybody was cheerful and helpful. I thought it was a very good place. The room was lovely. He was in a double occupancy. There was another gentleman on the other side, but they each had their own quarters and they shared a bathroom. It was clean. It had a nice bright window in it. He had the right kind of bed and it was very comfortable room. I thought it was very good.
Sad :-(

Do not put your loved ones in this place!! The staff could care less about the residence. They only do what they have too and that's not even done properly! This place is the perfect definition for the word "neglect"!!! If you happen to meet a staff person that is nice well that won't last long. This is a warning your loved one will not receive good care there! All the complaining, writing complaints calling the state does no good! Your family member will be neglected. Even the therapy is undesirable. Now if your of sound mind and only there for after surgery therapy maybe you'll get something out of it but many times I stood and watched my loved one being ignored and put in a chair to sleep and when they saw us they sure acted professional. The only residences they like are the ones that can take care of themselves.....shop around for nursing homes and ask your friends for references! Very high turnover with the aids which says a lot. I'd like to add I tried to see the good in this place and I waited many many months before I filed my first complaint so pls take this sentence into consideration.......we are not writing this review without thought. Our lives have been pure he** sense our parent has been at the Medilodge of Sterling Hts

my other has been at the sterling heights medilodge since may....we have had many problems with the staff at this facility....the unit manager had a "if it don't effect me then it doesn't concern me" attitude toward the care of my mom....that manager has since retired...the so called nursing assistants are no where to be found when you need help and when you do find one they refuse to help because my mom "is not my patient"...it takes forever for the the call service light to be answered because the nurses aides hide or stand in the hall ways and talk about the patients in their care or they talk about their personal life instead of taking are of patients in their care....i have had a couple of conversations with joe the administrator and while he has told me he is aware of the problem he hasn't done anything about it...my mom has bowl control issues and there are times when she is made to sit for long periods of time before anyone comes to her aid.....i wouldn't recommend this facility to anyone.....while i can't speak to the other medilodge facilities, the one in sterling heights needs vast improvement...if i could have given less than one star i would have

we put our father in medilodges for 5 days so we could have a short rest on the 4th day they put him in the bathroom unattended, he got up and walked by himself no walker or wheelchair and he feel backward and hit his head, his head had a big cut and bump on it the doctor told them to put ice on it and he never came in to check him. They were told to call the hospice nurse if anything happen to him but they never called her. He passed away 2 and 1/2 weeks later. He was completely different when he came home when he went in could feed himself and take care of his own tolet care after I had to feed him and clean his butt and so on. Be very careful if you put your loved one in this nursing home.
