"I went here and the rooms are wonderful. They have a full kitchen, in the two-bedroom they have walk-in closets, they have a hall closet, storage area, and some beautiful views from the room. The staff is friendly, nice. We haven't had a meal there, but they serve three meals a day, they have staples and they have specials each day, so a nice variety, really a good selection, a good menu. There they have assisted, and independent, and to get assisted you have to live in the assisted part, so really it doesn't meet our needs. When you first enter, it's like going on to a cruise ship, the dining room is straight ahead with a beautiful view, and because it's up high, you enter on the fourth story, so it gives an ambiance of elegance. They provide a daily exercise program, they have a nice gym, and they provide outings, films, and other things."

"I really, really liked Ivy Park of Wellington. What I liked best was the location. The location was familiar to me. It just seemed to be a really, really nice location. The restaurant facility was really nice. The people were very friendly. I had a feel of what it would be like to live in a place that have meals there with other people. I liked that a lot. That was what I like the best. The room that I looked at all had small kitchenette. The rooms had a fairly good-sized refrigerator, which surprised me. Some of them had a stovetop, but some of them didn't, and they just said the microwave. It was pretty well set up other than furniture. The thing that I liked the best was they have a really, really pretty nice courtyard, nice walking paths around the courtyard, and a nice place to sit and all that stuff. I got to see their schedule of their activities. They have really good activities for the people. I talked to a couple of the ladies that lived there and I had kind of lunch at their table, and they were talking about how they would go to see some shows at Segerstrom, and I said, "Oh, that would be nice to have that type of thing available." The only thing I would mark them down on is the cost. It's one of the expensive ones that I looked at, but I really liked it. The lady that took me there was absolutely fantastic. She was very helpful, she answered all my questions, and she took lots of time with me. She checked with me a few times to see where I'm at in my decision making. She's very good. I was very impressed. The food was very good. My daughter and I were there, and it was kind of late morning, so we both had breakfast. The food was very good. I would say it's excellent. Very tasty. Their layout and everything was really good. "

"We visited the Park Plaza assisted living facility while searching for a place for our aunt to live in the area. The outside area was very nicely maintained and nice seating areas. The grounds outside offer easy access for residents, where they can enjoy walking around freely safely each day. We could see that there is also plenty of space to have cookouts, parties and picnics. The main greeting room was fresh and bright with very nice decorations and furniture. Throughout the facility, all of the indoor rooms had plenty of fresh air and light. Each room was beautifully decorated and furnished. The colors throughout the building were soothing and comfortable. Communal activity rooms were spacious, with comfortable furniture. The seniors can easily socialize, make crafts, play games, watch TV and films and participate in many stimulating activities. The facility seemed to be able to accommodate all levels of ambulation. The private rooms featured plenty of space in nicely decorated surroundings. All had a great deal of natural light and fresh air with very comfortable furniture and appeared to be nicely personalized. The dining room was quite nice, with plenty of space. The food we saw looked and smelled delicious. The menus all had healthy food options for all kinds of diets. Healthy snacks are offered all day and into the evening, as well as whenever residents request them. Seniors can use the exercise room at any time and also go on daily walks. Aerobics and yoga classes are offered. The residents go on trips to visit the many region's art galleries and museums, eat at casual and fine restaurants and enjoy the many other cultural events offered. The residents here looked very content and were well cared for by kind and considerate staff in this living environment. "

"The rooms were beautiful. The staff was fine. The population was not my client’s cup of tea. She liked the facility, but there were not enough ambulatory people. "

"Atria Newport Beach was a great facility. The staff was very knowledgeable and very friendly. The rooms were very nice, but smaller than what we were looking for. They had a great list of amenities. It's also very close to the beach. We were very impressed with the location and the amenities. When I toured it, they were doing some thing; but most of the stuff that they do were not going on because of COVID. The facility was brand new. It's really good."

"I moved into Carmel Village Retirement Community just before Thanksgiving. They help me out with showers. They bring my meals to my room because I don't feel like I can make it to the dining room. They're very good. My room is very nice. They have a printed menu, then they have another menu that's just in the dining room, but they don't tell you about that. I just accidentally saw it. The staff is very good, very friendly, very cooperative, and very efficient. I chose it because it's closest to my children. The grounds are very well kept, very nice, and very attractive, and the courtyards are spacious. Due to this virus thing, I can't say much about the socializing because we haven't had much of a chance to do it, but they offer the activities. I'm a real picky eater, but I think the food in itself is good. It's very convenient, and it's worth the price. You get what you pay for."

"Very nice facility with friendly and attentive staff. The rooms were beautiful, clean and multiple activities for residents. The food looked great! We attended a Luau at the facility which was very nice and loved by the residents that attended. This is definitely a contender when my mother is ready to commit!"

"I'll be moving into The Meridian at Anaheim Hills this weekend. I saw the rooms, but I think they're a little pricey. They have an ice cream parlor and a pizzeria. They showed us the gym but nobody was there. The staff was very informative."

"None of us wants to be looking at Assisted Living facilities…but the need, too often, is unavoidable. As I looked at several in this area, I was most impressed with Ivy Park at Mission Viejo. From the first meeting, we were impressed. JP gave us the ultimate tour. He was patient with our kabillion questions and easily answered all. Everyone we met, from the Receptionist to the Director, the Activity Director and the Nurse, had a smile for us. Meeting up with caregivers along the way was also a positive experience. The Dining Room was very impressive - the food looked amazing with 3 specials daily, including a Vegetarian, as well as breakfast all day, sandwiches, salads, special diet offers - and great hamburgers and sweet potato fries! When you’re in the DR, you also observe how staff interacts with residents - respectful, light hearted, helping people find an open table, etc. The Wait Staff knows people by name and are very patient, as residents try and decide what they want to eat… The Facility, as a whole, is beautiful, clean and very well maintained - both inside and outside (Outside just got a new coat of paint). The rooms are a good size and prepared with a fresh coat of paint, etc for each new arrival. There’s an Activity list of the Day, which people have a choice of participating in or not. There are well-stocked additional rooms that include a library, art room, etc. etc. There are so many amenities. I am a frequent visitor and have never seen a negative interaction or situation. Staff is genuinely kind and compassionate. We have been very very pleased with the care. Assisted Living facilities are definitely expensive and you need to choose the one that works best for you and your family member. We would highly recommend Ivy Park at Mission Viejo. We definitely made the right choice for my husband."

"My husband moved to MorningStar of Mission Viejo. The interior organization there, they communicate well with each other. The management style is excellent. They communicate well between each department, so it's a very soft touch, but they pay attention to the information about their clients. The facility is great. It's interesting. It's a small building. It's not one of the biggest, most extravagant buildings that I've seen, but the staff is great. The food is amazing. The food is excellent. They do a good job there. My husband is a little reserved. He's not quite interested in that part of things, but it looks like they have a lot going on. They have an outreach program where they're working with the Saddleback Emeritus programming, and they're introducing some classes at their facility through Emeritus."

"I was impressed with Walnut Village. It's sheer perfection. I would've been very happy going there, but it just wasn't time for me to go into that kind of a facility. The person during the tour was charming, very knowledgeable, and very pleasant. He made it sound like it would be wonderful. The dining area was like going to a very fancy restaurant. It was really a nice place. They also have a little coffee shop. I saw one woman working out in the gym with a trainer. Everybody was so pleasant and so happy. It's a lovely place."

"Park Terrace is extremely clean and it smells good. My mother has been there for about 6 weeks now. The staff is great. She's been extremely happy with them. She cannot move from place to place herself, so they have to transport her down to meals and to activities in a wheelchair. They're kind, nice, and they come in and take her when she needs to go down. She also needs help with bathing. Mom finds it to be a very pleasant experience and certainly much better than she expected. The rooms are extremely spacious. She's in a complete 1-bedroom with bath and huge closet. The showers are big enough to get a large bathing chair in. She has balcony that overlooks the courtyard and the pool. Her living room is very spacious, too. We were able to get a large reclining chair, a dinette table with 3 chairs, a chest for putting a TV on, a couple of other chest that she wanted to take with her, and a sofa. At this moment, I have no problems. The food is unbelievably good and she's enjoying it. "

"Rowntree Gardens was a lovely place, but everybody seemed to be much older than I am. They weren't older in age, but they were using walkers, and I'm still running around. They have lovely apartments, a nice green area, and a garden where you can go and sit and meditate. The dining room was lovely and the food was very good. Everybody seems so happy living there. You know that they're getting good care. The dining area was like being in a restaurant."
