"My husband moved to MorningStar of Mission Viejo. The interior organization there, they communicate well with each other. The management style is excellent. They communicate well between each department, so it's a very soft touch, but they pay attention to the information about their clients. The facility is great. It's interesting. It's a small building. It's not one of the biggest, most extravagant buildings that I've seen, but the staff is great. The food is amazing. The food is excellent. They do a good job there. My husband is a little reserved. He's not quite interested in that part of things, but it looks like they have a lot going on. They have an outreach program where they're working with the Saddleback Emeritus programming, and they're introducing some classes at their facility through Emeritus."

"Park Terrace is extremely clean and it smells good. My mother has been there for about 6 weeks now. The staff is great. She's been extremely happy with them. She cannot move from place to place herself, so they have to transport her down to meals and to activities in a wheelchair. They're kind, nice, and they come in and take her when she needs to go down. She also needs help with bathing. Mom finds it to be a very pleasant experience and certainly much better than she expected. The rooms are extremely spacious. She's in a complete 1-bedroom with bath and huge closet. The showers are big enough to get a large bathing chair in. She has balcony that overlooks the courtyard and the pool. Her living room is very spacious, too. We were able to get a large reclining chair, a dinette table with 3 chairs, a chest for putting a TV on, a couple of other chest that she wanted to take with her, and a sofa. At this moment, I have no problems. The food is unbelievably good and she's enjoying it. "

"The rooms at Woodbridge were very small. They were able to show us a one bedroom apartment. The place was OK. The unimpressive thing for me on Woodbridge is that I just saw a bunch of residents standing in a room doing nothing. The staff that I met were fine."

"I liked Atria Golden Creek. I found the staff to be very pleasant and accommodating. It was far more on the cruise ship on land model. I felt like they would be very accommodating, but it was like so over the top cost wise, and there wasn’t real sense of home like atmosphere. It’s very clean with large size units. "

"The tour I had at Crestavilla was excellent. The people that helped us were very thorough. It's only about five years old, so it's in beautiful shape. They have more amenities than I found in any of the other facilities. They have a lap pool and a Jacuzzi. They have 24-hour nursing care available and 24-hour concierge. They have a five-star chef and excellent meals. They have a lot to offer for both the residents and their families."

"Ivy Park at San Juan Capistrano had a $6000 deposit. The rooms, although small, I like that I could walk out there and there would be a small porch. There was a garden place that you could walk down either side. Across the way was the dining room. So, it was a short walk. The staff was nice, but I didn't like their sales pressure. I didn't like that they were forcing me to make a decision right there and then they gave me dinner to bring home. They invited us to stay for dinner, but my daughter had plans, so we didn't do that. The food we brought home wasn't anything terrific. They had times for meals, like 8:00 in the morning to 9:30 (I'm lucky if I'm up by 9:30). They have a breakfast place or a thing where they have dry cereal and other stuff. You could get some coffee or whatever, but it's not a full breakfast. They also had a kitchenette in the room, both the one-bedroom and the studio. They had a small refrigerator, a microwave, and a sink."

"We live in a retirement community. We are at the Fountains. We've been here for 10 years. We looked around at many other places, and this is the one we liked the most. This is a very friendly place. The problem is they're extremely expensive, and they keep raising the price every year. I have an apartment. It's a 2-bedroom condo with 2 bathrooms. We have a main dining room. I own the place. We have a lot of activities. We have exercises, lecturers, and entertainers. The utilities and the maid service are all included in the monthly fee. "

"I toured and the place is spotless and very pleasant. All the residents there seemed very happy to be there. The staff was very professional and very kind to the residents. It was not a large area but it was very pleasant. It was shaded with lots of chairs and umbrellas. They had raised flower beds for the residents to do some planting activity, so it's really nice."

"We visited the Park Plaza assisted living facility while searching for a place for our aunt to live in the area. The outside area was very nicely maintained and nice seating areas. The grounds outside offer easy access for residents, where they can enjoy walking around freely safely each day. We could see that there is also plenty of space to have cookouts, parties and picnics. The main greeting room was fresh and bright with very nice decorations and furniture. Throughout the facility, all of the indoor rooms had plenty of fresh air and light. Each room was beautifully decorated and furnished. The colors throughout the building were soothing and comfortable. Communal activity rooms were spacious, with comfortable furniture. The seniors can easily socialize, make crafts, play games, watch TV and films and participate in many stimulating activities. The facility seemed to be able to accommodate all levels of ambulation. The private rooms featured plenty of space in nicely decorated surroundings. All had a great deal of natural light and fresh air with very comfortable furniture and appeared to be nicely personalized. The dining room was quite nice, with plenty of space. The food we saw looked and smelled delicious. The menus all had healthy food options for all kinds of diets. Healthy snacks are offered all day and into the evening, as well as whenever residents request them. Seniors can use the exercise room at any time and also go on daily walks. Aerobics and yoga classes are offered. The residents go on trips to visit the many region's art galleries and museums, eat at casual and fine restaurants and enjoy the many other cultural events offered. The residents here looked very content and were well cared for by kind and considerate staff in this living environment. "

"The room in Meridian was clean. They were going to re-carpet, and re-paint for us. We love that we won’t cook anymore, and they’re going to serve three meals a day. They served us lunch, and it was delicious. There’s plenty of activities there. "

"Corona RCFE was very nice, and the people were very friendly. The grounds were good. The room is perfect for my mother who is 92. She just needs a room with a little bed, a chair, and a TV. That's all she needs. It looks like she can go out and go to the dining room area, and things like that, and they have those things available too. The staff who helped me was very friendly and answered all the questions. She was very good. I didn't sample the food, but the dining area was fine. For activities, they have a little room where people can go and they can meet with each other and play games and so on, so that's fine."

"I visited.It's an assisted living place and overall it was fine for me especially because they had an enclosed little dog park. The place was beautiful. The person who assisted me during the tour was wonderful. He was very good with follow-through and was very personable. I also observed that they have a very friendly staff."
