Ivy Park at San Juan Capistrano had a $6000 deposit. The rooms, although small, I like that I could walk out there and there would be a small porch. There was a garden place that you could walk down either side. Across the way was the dining room. So, it was a short walk. The staff was nice, but I didn't like their sales pressure. I didn't like that they were forcing me to make a decision right there and then they gave me dinner to bring home. They invited us to stay for dinner, but my daughter had plans, so we didn't do that. The food we brought home wasn't anything terrific. They had times for meals, like 8:00 in the morning to 9:30 (I'm lucky if I'm up by 9:30). They have a breakfast place or a thing where they have dry cereal and other stuff. You could get some coffee or whatever, but it's not a full breakfast. They also had a kitchenette in the room, both the one-bedroom and the studio. They had a small refrigerator, a microwave, and a sink.

I toured Ivy Park at San Juan Capistrano. I like the setting. It was homey. There were big trees surrounding it. The room had a little kitchenette part, not with a refrigerator or anything, but there was room for that. The room itself seemed small. It opened up into a kind of a place where I could walk and probably take my dog. I like the ambiance of that place better than the other facility. They gave me dinner to go and it was okay. I didn't think their food was as good as the other facility, but I felt more comfortable in that location than I did in the other facility.

Our experience with the staff was superb specifically, Dauria and Freddy were delightful. Not only were they very knowledgeable and informative, but they were great listeners and walked us through all the solution options with us. We fell in love with studio they showed us, very roomy spacious and very large closet and very large bathroom. We especially loved the walkout patio in the Rose garden. The food looked delicious and the menu was quite diverse. Thank you to the entire staff for taking such good care of us

We came to tour Ivy Park for our grandparents. Naomi was our contact person. From phone calls to touring the facility she showed compassion and listened to our needs and concerns. We decided to bring our grandparents to Ivy Park because of the room sizes and the assisted Living care they offer. The dining also gives the resident other options not just whats on the menu . We are looking forward to having our family member use the Beauty salon they have there too. Over all we have been very satisfied with Ivy Park and Naomi’s compassion to meet our concerns for our family.

I visited and we saw the assisted living. They have three meals a day. They come in and take out the trash once a week. They do the bedding, and they do the laundry. They have activities as well. Everything is just very nice. They have an activities director as well. They take them on outings, and they would take them to their doctor appointments if needed. It's a very nice facility. They have a really nice, clean courtyard with a beautiful fountain. It's just very serene and clean. I looked at the room that I was going to choose for him, which was very nice and clean. It has a microwave, refrigerator, and the restroom was built so they can just walk in; they don't have to step over. They have a seating area for them and there are handlebars. Everyone would get one of those emergency things.

There are a lot of things I like about it. However, it is very old and more like a nursing home than an independent living. I did like that each unit had a patio or a deck that you could go outside to. However, I didn't care for the arrangement of the rooms. The independent was separated slightly from everything else, but it was a longer walk from there to where you would go in to any activities. It didn't seem much of a place I would want to be in.

The rooms were quite small and there was nothing fancy about it. The hallways were very long, which I did not like. It was very warm inside and that would be very hard for me. There were several people in wheelchairs sitting around the entryway. The receptionist was pleasant and the woman who showed us around was a perfectly adequate person for the job and she was nice enough to us. The only problem for me would be the hallways. If I had a room at the end of the hall, it would be very difficult for me to go to the dining room three times a day because I have a problem walking. They had a room where people were sitting around some tables doing something. The residents were social. The front part of the facility was nice enough looking. The grounds were a parking lot and limited.

My mother in law stayed for the 1 month respite and after just 2 weeks decided she would come to live permanently from West Texas. The Staff have all been super friendly, attentive and ready to make any adjustments necessary for her care. Every day thete is a list of activities and social events for the residents. The facility is extremely clean, smells fresh and the dining staff are A+. My mother in law is very excited to come and live here very soon as we get her new cottage ready for her.

We had a very favorable impression ; the place was nice, and it was very clean. The rooms were of good size, they looked like they had good programs, and it’s something worth looking into. We liked the way the place was laid out because there were separate entertainment areas, TV area, and rooms where they can play cards. There were really nice garden areas outside, where people can go and sit on a nice day and have coffee. The staff from Sales was very informative and proactive.

I love the fact that it is peaceful and calm and for seniors only. The place is brand new and very clean, and the staff is very helpful. Their accommodations are OK.

It seems my mom is very happy here. She is happy with the room and the help and the people there are very kind. The staff is working good and by my mom's level of happiness and care I can say that the staff is also very good to her. The food is good but not excellent. Their dining room is spacious. Overall what I like about this facility is it's atmosphere, it is very relaxed and friendly. I think this facility is suitable for someone who is looking for a more relaxed setting; however, they could improve on food a little bit better.
