"I liked CityViewVilla the best because it had a nice feel to it and the staff I met was very friendly. Everything was contained on one floor, and the room I picked for my mom was a nice size, and it opened up to a big patio. They had a beautiful rooftop terrace and a nice activity area. They said they keep the people busy, had physical activity, and everything was included. It was well priced. "

"We visited the Bethany Towers assisted living facility while searching for a suitable assisted living facility for our great aunt. Many of our family members live in the area, so this would be an ideal place for her to live. The outer grounds looked well-kept and pleasant. The staff greeted us and seemed very warm and friendly - which is the most important thing to our family. We want our aunt to be treated well in his new home. The foyer was nicely decorated and seemed homey, as did all of the communal rooms. The private spaces were all clean, well-kept and conveniently designed. They take the time to personalize to each resident's tastes. The dining areas were nicely designed and warm. Residents may choose communal dining or more private situations. There are places for them to visit with families, as well. The food looked deliciously prepared, as well as nutritious. The dietician and chef changes up the menu to keep it interesting and encourage resident to make suggestions. The activity calendar features many healthy and stimulating activities. They have outings to local libraries, events, culture, restaurants, shopping and athletic events. They take suggestions to update the schedule as much as possible. We really liked that the staff encourages participation and tries to make everything interesting for its residents. Staff appeared to make every effort to ensure that the residents were both safe and comfortable in this living environment. "

"This facility is modern, clean, and comfortable. My grandfather currently stays here and I gladly visit him due to the wonderful environment created by the staff. It is a great place for the elderly. They offer great personal and private care. This is a great place someone can assure their loveds ones to be safe in. Although I felt as if it was focused too much on Arminian culture, and some of the staff spoke little to no english, it is by far a wonderful place for a loved one to live. Highly recommended! This is a place you wont regret visiting. Just by the appearance, one can see that this place, combined with the wonderful staff, is a safe home. "

"Sakura Gardens does a fantastic job for my 92 year old Nisei mother. They serve Japanese food which she especially likes. They have daily exercise classes that gets her out of the room and areas where she can walk on her own when she feels like it. I myself love the 24 hour on duty nurse which makes me sleep better at night."

"I have visited Hollenbeck Palms before because I knew someone who was living there. I'm somewhat familiar with it. The nice thing about it is that they have independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing all in one facility, so they have it all. The staff and employees were very nice, courteous, and informative. It's a historic building, it's really nice, and the grounds were beautiful. It's a large eight-acre property, and it looked very well-maintained. I actually want to live there. I was able to try the food once and I understand that it has to be modified with the sodium, and it has to be healthy for seniors, but for me personally, it's bland food. I'm not a resident though, and the people that live there probably like it. For the layout, it has individual buildings, and for me it's fine because I'm mobile, but for those that are not so mobile, they might be confined to their own areas. I would say the layout seemed appropriate, it was functional. There were a lot of stairs, but it was nice."

"I like Ivy Park at Burbank. It was a very nice facility. I probably like it a little bit better than the other place, but it was a lot farther away for me. They had like a display area outside of each person's room to put their special pictures or special things. They had a lot of almost continuous daily activities that people can join. They keep the people very busy. It wasn't a mandatory type thing, and you can join or not join. They had all kinds of different games and different things to do. Another thing I like with them is the decent parking. They also had these little balconies for the memory facility. The staff member who toured me was very bubbly, and she keeps calling me."

"Evergreen Retirement Home was recommended by somebody. We looked at a bunch of different ones, and it really came down to the care and the affordability. I know they have independent and assisted. They have movies, they have games, they have social interaction. They have trips, they take them to shopping. "

"We choose Belmont Village Burbank because of the vitality of the people living there, the architecture, and the quality of food. My mother has a nice room. There are a lot of activities there and a lot of support 24 hours, 7 days a week. My mother had been living alone, and when I would talk to her, she never wanted the phone conversation to end. Now when I call her, she says she’d love to talk but she has exercise class or they’re having a luau or there’s entertainment downstairs with wine and cheese. Now she’s very busy and her mind is active; it’s wonderful to see. Everyone that works there treats everyone like a wonderful guest. It’s great. "

"My friend David moved out to this living facility some months ago. He always told me that this was a wonderful place to live. I thought he was lying, but I visited him some days ago, and I could believe what beautiful was this place. My friends room was very comfortable and clean and the staff was really good. I really liked this place. I said to my friend that this place was much better then my house. I think my friend is enjoying living there because it's an excellent living facility.
