"I had rehab at Country Villa Los Feliz Nursing Center. It was excellent. They had nurses on-staff. They provided medications, therapy and meals. They had activities like bingo, they do nails for women, there was card playing, and things to keep the residents interested and occupied. They would have somebody come in to play the piano and do sing-alongs. Everybody was attentive. If you needed anything, they were there. The doctors came around, and they provided all the services. The food was excellent. If you wanted dessert or anything in particular they would fix it for you."

"Skyline was much closer to my place. The room was newer and looked a little bit better. My father liked the food very much, and their presentation and nutritional balance was recommendable. Parking was not a problem. "

"One of my clients had to have surgery, and went to Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center. I was very impressed at the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. My client was in and out of surgery within just a few hours, and was doing well on his return to the regular patient room. A nurse paid constant attention to him, although I was there to keep him company as a caregiver. She kept a close watch on him after surgery - even though it was just a minor operation; and also asked me if I needed anything every time that she walked by. I was highly impressed with the staff and with the facility itself - and I would definitely recommend it over any other hospital in LA. "

"My mother is at the skilled nursing of Garden Crest. They called my sister in New York and took the time to discuss my mother's illness, what happened and what they plan to do. I like that. My mother's room is clean, there's no smell, and they're professional. My mother can talk now, which is unbelievable; it's a miracle. We could ask as many questions as we wanted to, and they didn't talk down to you or anything. As far as my mother is concerned, they knew their business. So far, so good. I haven't heard my mom complain about the food at all. They had chairs, and if not, they would go get a chair and bring it to your room. There was also a TV in her room. I think the food is about average because you have to really watch it. Sometimes they can't take really hot food, or they have dentures or something like that. But they check it out to see if it's suitable, or that the patient can handle it. When you sit on the inside, you can tell that it's been used a great deal, but there's nothing dirty and you don't see or smell urine, that kind of thing."

"I was in rehab at Alexandria Care Center. It was OK, except that the food was really bad. I shared a room with another patient, and it was very clean. It seemed to me that most of the people were old; they didn’t have any teeth and were given poor food, so most of them complained. The staff people were very good. The CNA’s worked very hard and were very pleasant, and they were all my friends. They were nice and very patient. "

"I was in Brier Oak on Sunset. The facility was nice. The nurses were nice and considerate. The food was good. It was during COVID, so I really didn't get to do activities. They brought us articles to read, we had television and all that, so it was a comfortable facility. I have nothing bad to say about it. They made sure you had your bath. It was a good facility overall. The facility was nice. They had a smoking section and we were able to go out. It was large and you could go anywhere around the facility. The cost was decent, but it was a little expensive. My cousin has been looking for a place and I told him the best place would be Brier Oaks because he is in a wheelchair and he is unable to walk, but he can afford to pay lots of money."

"My Dad ( was 32A now 17B)) was admitted late January 2017. At first, I felt the facility was not going to treat or meet the care of my Dad with the necessary attention he needs. My immeadiate intentions were to remove my Dad from Fountain View once an opportunity would open up. But you'd be surprised what lovely people work there. The Nurses just attend to administering medications but are very polite and answer ALL questions. The respiratory techs are incredibly awesome and on every hour to suction patients. My admiration esp. goes to all the CNA 's.... WOW! I go visit my father just about everyday at different times and the care provided by those CNA's is exceptional. Day in and day out all nurses and techs are friendly with positive aditude . The vocation of caring and the service provided is extraordinarily. Who cares if the facility is a bit outdated! The CARE given to patients is what's important ...... I'm truly impressed and Thankful to all Fountain View Nurses, techs and CNA's for the support and empathy my father and I have received by them! "

We are a 52-bed skilled nursing facility serving the community of Glendale and surrounding areas. We provide 24-hour skilled nursing care, short term rehabilitation, IV therapy, tube feedings, wound care restorative nursing care diabetic care, pain management, and pre and post dialysis care. We have semiprivate rooms with flat screen TV and WiFi. We assist our residents with discharge planning at the time of admission and throughout their stay to enable your loved one to return to the community if able. "We decided against Bonnie Brae because it's in a bad part of town. The location for me was depressing, but that has nothing to do with the place itself. It looked old, but it was very clean. The people were very kind to us. They gave me a nice tour, and it looked clean. There were as many as four people in a room, but mostly there are two people in a room separated by a curtain. I didn't see anything negative except that it looked crowded, and it was sort of dark in there. "

"I enjoyed the visit with my client at Angels Nursing Health Center. Although this facility was not the cleanest that I have seen, the staff were very friendly and compassionate towards my client and the others that they were caring for. My client enjoyed staying there, and said that they treated him well. He stated that the food was good, the nurses responded promptly to any requests that he had made, and that overall - he liked being at this facility. It is close to the metro train station, and within minutes of Chinatown and Wilshire - which has plenty to do - such as restaurants and shopping for when family members come in to visit. I recommend Angels Nursing Health Center for insurance-only patients who are unable to afford private pay facilities. "

"My father was at Broadway Manor. My father had a private room because he is a veteran. It's awesome. The staff was helpful, polite, and treated him like he was their grandpa. There's not a lot of activities going on. He was just there for a month for rehab. "
