They had a pool and a modest workout room. They had a very nice location near the beach and some shopping. "

The General Manager, Eric M., runs a tight ship - carpets regularly cleaned, walls painted, furniture & decor updated. The staff is exemplary. My mother would have been overwhelmed in a large residence - Aegis provides a family environment & personalizes care plans depending on your loved ones needs. I'm so grateful to have found such a great place - my mother is safe, happy, and healthy. My mother has just moved from memory care to assisted living and is enjoying her larger closet, kitchenette with microwave, small refrigerator and sink. The building is circular with a protected courtyard - my mother loves doing her puzzle books in the courtyard while getting fresh air & sunshine. I can't say enough good about this place."

"My wife and I are perfectly healthy, and we just moved in because we're getting old. The facility is excellent. It's a nice location. The staff is wonderful. They're very caring and pleasant. The apartment itself is very nice. It's 600 square feet, and it's just big enough for two people. It's clean. They provide a theater, they provide an exercise room, they provide tours if you want to go on a tour, and they provide happy hours, so it's very good. The food is wonderful. They have a nice selection, and it's very healthy."

"My husband moved to MorningStar of Mission Viejo. The interior organization there, they communicate well with each other. The management style is excellent. They communicate well between each department, so it's a very soft touch, but they pay attention to the information about their clients. The facility is great. It's interesting. It's a small building. It's not one of the biggest, most extravagant buildings that I've seen, but the staff is great. The food is amazing. The food is excellent. They do a good job there. My husband is a little reserved. He's not quite interested in that part of things, but it looks like they have a lot going on. They have an outreach program where they're working with the Saddleback Emeritus programming, and they're introducing some classes at their facility through Emeritus."

"This facility was referred by a personal friend of mine. She mentioned that Aegis is one of her favorite places. It is pretty small -- about 65 to 75 residents. The staff is fabulous and very kind. All the staff worked in all the departments. They are cross-trained. The administration is really friendly and really knowledgeable. They are available 24/7. All of the staff knows all of the residents by name. My mother's room is not that big, but she says she doesn't need all that extra space. She's got an ocean view, and she likes it. She liked this facility because it was a little bit more contemporary, a little bit brighter, and it had a little bit of an open floor plan. She really appreciates the environment where she is right now. "

"The tour I had at Crestavilla was excellent. The people that helped us were very thorough. It's only about five years old, so it's in beautiful shape. They have more amenities than I found in any of the other facilities. They have a lap pool and a Jacuzzi. They have 24-hour nursing care available and 24-hour concierge. They have a five-star chef and excellent meals. They have a lot to offer for both the residents and their families."

"None of us wants to be looking at Assisted Living facilities…but the need, too often, is unavoidable. As I looked at several in this area, I was most impressed with Ivy Park at Mission Viejo. From the first meeting, we were impressed. JP gave us the ultimate tour. He was patient with our kabillion questions and easily answered all. Everyone we met, from the Receptionist to the Director, the Activity Director and the Nurse, had a smile for us. Meeting up with caregivers along the way was also a positive experience. The Dining Room was very impressive - the food looked amazing with 3 specials daily, including a Vegetarian, as well as breakfast all day, sandwiches, salads, special diet offers - and great hamburgers and sweet potato fries! When you’re in the DR, you also observe how staff interacts with residents - respectful, light hearted, helping people find an open table, etc. The Wait Staff knows people by name and are very patient, as residents try and decide what they want to eat… The Facility, as a whole, is beautiful, clean and very well maintained - both inside and outside (Outside just got a new coat of paint). The rooms are a good size and prepared with a fresh coat of paint, etc for each new arrival. There’s an Activity list of the Day, which people have a choice of participating in or not. There are well-stocked additional rooms that include a library, art room, etc. etc. There are so many amenities. I am a frequent visitor and have never seen a negative interaction or situation. Staff is genuinely kind and compassionate. We have been very very pleased with the care. Assisted Living facilities are definitely expensive and you need to choose the one that works best for you and your family member. We would highly recommend Ivy Park at Mission Viejo. We definitely made the right choice for my husband."

"Sunrise of Mission Viejo had the best apple pie I had ever eaten. The rooms were nice. The staff was very nice and helpful, and they had different activities. It's across the street from a golf course, and it seemed pretty new. They had nursing staff on the floor to do medications. "

"After several tours and meetings with Alison and her team, my mom moved to The Belmont about a year ago. Her initial hesitation quickly turned into pure joy—she absolutely loves it! She’s made so many new friends and her activity level has increased significantly. When I stopped by today to drop off an iPad charger, I had to interrupt her mid-game of Rummikub—her new favorite pastime! The staff and residents are all incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and bright, and the dining room is always a big hit. We are so grateful to have found such a special place for her.
