I toured Atria San Juan. I thought they were very good. They all seemed to know the names of all the people that were there, and they would greet them nicely. The food I thought was excellent. I had a small skirt steak and a salad and everything was really good. It was neat and clean, and the service was excellent, and for me, that was the one thing I was looking forward to, but they had a schedule. I'm not a morning person, and if you didn't get in for breakfast by 9:30, you could go and get a snack like a donut or something like that, but I'm diabetic, so that's why I wanted a kitchenette so I could make toast and have my breakfast. It has no space for that in the room.

I toured Atria San Juan, but we did not like it. For one thing, the person who took us around was in charge of maintenance and didn't have many answers for us. It just didn't feel right. While the rooms were larger, they were not well-appointed.

I toured Atria San Juan. It was nice. The rooms were nice. They have small kitchenettes. There was nothing super special about them. They were a little bit on the smaller side, but they were designed for seniors to have everything they needed in there. They had nice courtyards, little activity areas outside, and a nice library. Their dining room was nice, and they had a little bistro where residents could get snacks and things like that. I tried their food, and it was very good. The menu was great. It had a lot of variety.

I have visited friends over the years at Atria San Juan and have found it to be a place that is lovely, modern, caring, active and fun! It is obvious that the staff and employees care very deeply for the residents and treat them as friends and family! This is very important to me as this is the kind of place I would want to live at should I ever need assisted living (it's actually THE place I would want to live at)!

My aunt just loves her new home. She rented a Studio at this Community. She says, that's all she needs. She is constantly out meeting with friends watching the golfers next door. She is never alone. Its such a relief for us not to worry that something might happen to her alone in the big house she had. We toured 7 different places before choosing Atria San Juan.

Our Dad lives here. This particular community is almost 50% male. Which is very rare. The fact that he doesn't have to care for a house anymore is huge. Dad loves that the culinary chef takes the suggestions of residents when planning the dining menu. He still has his care but barely uses it. They drive him to his appointments. We as a family are thrilled that he is now in a safe environment.

Recently, I had to move a dear friend into the memory care unit at Atria San Juan. When my friend was diagnosed with dementia, I had to act fast and find her a place to live. What could have been a prolonged and difficult experience was eased by the staff at Atria. When my friend was admitted to Atria, her health was not good. Almost three months later, she’s healing and in much better shape than I could have imagined. Special thanks to the everyone at Atria for their help and guidance throughout this difficult time.

Atria was the first place I visited when I looking for an assisted living place. I was so impressed with the kindness shown to me. I noticed many people moving around. They were visiting with eachother, drinking coffee or reading the paper or a book. Atria has a Bistro, Library, dining room and club room, where movies are shown. The entire staff is top notch. When I moved in the residents and the staff would say Hi to me. The maintenace crew were very friendly and accomadating. They are here to fix many things that a resident needs. They never complained. I am glad I made the choice to move in here.

I had an in-person with Atria San Juan, but it was restricted. I saw an example of the available room. We met in an isolated office area and discussed the program and met some of the staff. The staff was good, very thorough, answered all the questions I had, was enthusiastic about their program, and what they were doing, and how they were mitigating all the COVID-19 issues. I was impressed. I did an online survey for them as well. I only saw a partial part of the facility, but it looked like the people were happy and satisfied. The staff we met were all very friendly. It was a limited exposure, but what I saw looked really well.

My brother is in Atria San Juan. The rooms are larger. He has a corner room with two balconies, which is nice. I have eaten there several times, and the food is very good. They serve three meals a day and have a very nice dining area. The people are very friendly, and the staff is very accommodating. It is a bit expensive, but it is worth it.

My mom is in Atria. They don’t do a thorough job of cleaning the rooms, especially the shower, and I felt some of the meals were salty. However, they have a very good exercise program, they have Bingo, and they have Bridge. They have outings to the drugstore and the harbor. I met some of the managers, and they were friendly, nice, and accommodating.

Atria was alive. Everybody was smiling and happy, the staff was nice. People that lived there came up to us and talked right away. They’re goal-oriented to help residents mentally and physically. We went into the dining area where everything smelled good, and I even met the chef. Everything was great. They had exercise classes every morning and mind exercise classes. They go down to the harbor three days a week and walk along the harborside. They have happy hour every day at 4:00 p.m. where they can get a glass of wine. They have a once-a-month trip for the men.

I thought the staff members and rooms of Atria San Juan were very nice. The place was very clean and in a good location, convenient to the highway. It’s just been renovated, so everything was very fresh, new, and clean.

My mom is in Atria. The general condition of the facility is very neat, pretty, and well organized and has a nice atmosphere for her. The staff is very friendly, very kind, and impressive. They offer lots of activities and lot of entertainment, games, and all kind of things. My mother, however, is not really interested in social activities.

Atria is very nice, we had lunch, and the food was good. The people were very friendly. All the rooms are pretty standard, with a bedroom and a living room. The place is clean.

My wife was in Atria San Juan for some time in the memory care unit, and we were the first residents in there after they refurbished it and opened it up. It was very roomy for five residents, and it was excellent. We left in time because they were understaffed. The rooms were average. The activities were pretty good, and they had trips to the beach; they made an effort there.

Atria San Juan had nice rooms, and the staff were very friendly, competent, and very helpful in trying to let me know the process of getting my in-laws approved to live there. It had independent, assisted, and memory care. They had trips to the harbor, and they had art. The food was very good. The place was inviting.

We visited Atria, and we are kind of interested in it. I like the whole atmosphere of the place. I also like the staff because they seemed very interested and very caring. The lunch was wonderful. The rooms are not very large of course, but they are good. The price is a little steep for us, but we are trying to figure it out if we can do it or not at this point. They have a small workout room, and they have classes for exercise. They take them to a lot of places including the doctor. They have activities at the place like groups coming in to sing. It was very clean too.

When I first went there at Atria San Juan, I wanted to run away because there were too many old people everywhere. The staff was nice and warm though. They have a pool and a gym. The dining area is very nice. Everything is very beautiful. The beauty of the place and the beauty of San Juan Capistrano stood out to me. But in spite of it, I cannot live there because of the age of the residents.

The facility in Atria that we also visited was very nice. It was our second choice. The staff is very friendly and very nice. They have a view of the golf course in San Juan which was really nice. My step father would have enjoyed that although he doesn't do a lot of those outdoor activities anymore. My mother noticed that Atria is a bit of an older facility. They recently had it remodeled to a country western theme. So it was geared towards the masculine residents in terms of décor. The room that she liked had an inner courtyard view which was really pretty. The floor plan wasn't quite as inviting. They didn't seem to have quite as much going on with activities and an open community.

I visited the Atria San Juan two years ago, and I almost moved in. It was beautiful and exactly what I needed. They have a lot of activities. It is really close to the ocean. There is a harbor, and they do the harbor walk. They have a van or a bus, and they have a limo to take seniors who want to go to Los Angeles to see a stage production or the shows that they have in Hollywood for seniors. They have a beauty shop, an exercise room, and a room where you can go for entertainment. There are some people who come and entertain the people who live there. There is a lot going on over there. And they have a beautiful place to eat. It is like a restaurant, so gorgeous. The people working there even wear uniforms. You order your meal, but you don't have to pay for anything because it is all free, I mean you only pay at every month, but you can go down there and eat whenever you want to. It is just ideal for me. It is so clean and absolutely beautiful. I saw it before they remodeled, and I liked it even then, but I like it better now.

Atria San Juan was very clean. The staff there seemed very nice. However, the facility had more like a hotel-type environment rather than homey residence. The director there told me they take early stages and maybe intermediate stages of Alzheimer's or dementia patients but they're really not equipped to take people in their later stages. I was very impressed with their honesty but I would not put my loved one in a facility that did not feel like they had the tools to work with. For my needs, I would rate them a 3 because they won't meet my husband's needs.

I went to Atria San Juan and I can see that all their staff were fabulous. The rooms are very nice and beautiful. It'is freeway close. They give you a calendar attached with the activities for the residents. I would recommend that they look at the facility and see if it's a good fit for them.
