"My mother-in-law moved into Sunrise of Mission Viejo for about a month. Her room is nice, spacious, and clean, and it's got all the amenities that she needs. The staff is really nice and caring. From my perspective as a family member, the communication is sometimes slow in terms of people getting back to us when we have a question. The food is good. They have really nice common areas, which they can't really use right now because of COVID. It's a home-like environment. We like that it is smaller in size, and the staff is really caring and friendly. The price point was also good. I felt it's a good value for the price."

"I only visited here once. I did like the place a lot, but it was a little bit big and not as cozy as the other place I visited, and they had more residents. It was very clean and newer looking. The residents' rooms were a little bit bigger than other places I visited. There were three selections for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and there were daily specials if something wasn't on the menu that they preferred. I only met one lady that gave me the tour who was very nice, but everybody seemed friendly. I really liked the rooms. When you move in, they repaint the whole inside and put in new carpeting. I saw one that was being done for a resident that was going to be coming, and everything was being cleaned and refurbished. The room had a walk-in closet and was spacious. It was just a little bit too far away from my father's doctors and things that he needs to see regularly. "

"We visited this facility along with a number of other similar board and care homes. This was by far the best facility - very clean, homey, all of the residents were being cared for and attended to. There is a beautiful sun room area looking out on the bluff with a wonderful view. There was music playing throughout the home. The staff was warm and friendly, and interacting with the residents, not sitting off by themselves like we saw at other facilities. Rozy, the owner, is a kind, compassionate person, who knows all the residents personally. Unfortunately, our loved one was not well enough to move to this home, and we had to make home-care hospice arrangements, but it definitely would have been our choice if we had been able to make the move."

"It seems my mom is very happy here. She is happy with the room and the help and the people there are very kind. The staff is working good and by my mom's level of happiness and care I can say that the staff is also very good to her. The food is good but not excellent. Their dining room is spacious. Overall what I like about this facility is it's atmosphere, it is very relaxed and friendly. I think this facility is suitable for someone who is looking for a more relaxed setting; however, they could improve on food a little bit better. "
