"Serra Sol Memory Care didn't look like an institution. It was modern looking. The staff was so attentive. They showed me the rooms. I like the room. We already picked out a room for my husband, and I liked the amenities that they offered. It's memory care. It's new, it's only about a year old. We did meet the chef, and he seems to want to cater -- in fact, my husband's Hungarian. And he asked my husband, What kind of food do you like? And my husband says, Hungarian. And he says, " Oh, I'll have to get some recipes." So I was impressed with the chef. It was so clean with no smells, no odors at all. They had large outdoor living spaces for visiting. You can visit anytime, day or night. Another thing I loved about the place, at least five days a week. They take the residents out in the van and they'll either go to the beach or go somewhere, or even if they just drive around. So in the afternoons they get them out, they just don't let them stay there, not just have to stay there all day long. I put a deposit on a room and they hold that particular room for 30 days. So now I have to go to the doctor. He has to have the doctor fill out forms. They're going to send a nurse out to the house to evaluate him. And they haven't made that appointment yet, but they'll be doing that shortly. He doesn't have to go there. They'll come to our house and evaluate his condition."

"What I like about Capistrano Senior Living is how friendly the staff are with one another. They have someone who was conducting happy hour where they had snacks laid out. This person runs some of the groups. He was very friendly. When he was introduced to me, he started singing to me. He had a great voice and then on the way out, he was conducting a group and he introduced me to the group. Also, my friend, who was with me, just thought that the ambiance was not a place where you just go to die. It was friendly and it was very clean. The one bedroom was not 100% of the space that I would have liked, but it was certainly a place where I could put my things and feel comfortable. I didn't taste the food but I was impressed with how clean the facility was and it smelled good. I liked the way the room was laid out. I always preferred to be on the first floor, but they had two elevators: one in front and one in back. The place they showed me was across the way from the back elevator. So, it would have taken me right down to the dining room, the meeting room, and every place that I would have needed to go. They take the mail to the person in their room. It was decorated very nicely for Halloween, but also for the fall in the lobby. My friend and I both liked it. Everybody seemed very friendly and willing to help. I was introduced to the nurse who told us that she had two teams: one that gave out medication if that was necessary and another one did procedures that needed to be done like changing, dressing, or something like that. I've been to other places that had nonrefundable deposits anywhere from $3500 to $6000. At Capistrano Senior Living, it was $2000. They explained to me that they would hold it for 30 days for $500. Then if I moved in, they would apply that $500 to that $2,000 and I would only owe $1500. So, it sounded like they were reasonable in their rates and it was a place close to where my grandchildren's school was, where they went. It was across the street from a shopping center that had one of the restaurants I ordered Doordash from."

"Atria Del Sol was very lovely. The staff showed us everything, including the dining hall and the little workout area where they do PT. This lady was absolutely just a great gal. She had really good energy and made us feel good. The bedroom that we saw was great. It was very, very clean and up-to-date. They made sure everything looked fresh. The paint was fresh and the carpet was fresh. The bathroom and everything was really, really nice. We met the activities director. We met the lady at the front who was really lovely and nice. Some of the staff members that we saw were helping the residents out, and it seemed like they really enjoyed working there."

"We toured Crestavilla three different times. We like all of the different activities. My cousin wanted a two-bedroom apartment, and they had two-bedroom apartments available. That was very important. We like the restaurant. There was nothing about it really that we did not like. We liked everything about it. The staff seemed very friendly and attentive. The first time we were there, we had an omelet at breakfast time, and it was a very good omelet. It was very well prepared, exactly as we ordered. It was delicious. The building seemed to be very clean. It did not look like it needed any work like refurbishment or anything. It was in very good shape. It seemed to be well laid out. They had very large rooms. Some of the two-bedroom rooms are almost 1300 square feet. It's laid out nicely. When you go in, you feel like you're in a very nice apartment. It doesn't feel like a hospital room or a studio apartment or anything like that. It felt very spacious. The one that my cousin will get has two nice views out of her apartment. The bedroom overlooks the pool, and the living room overlooks Crown Valley Parkway."

"I toured Belmont Village Aliso Viejo. I like that they had a pool. It was a large facility. I did an unscheduled tour, and they were happy to accommodate me, but it was not during mealtime. The apartments seem to be a reasonable size. They had a nice-sized theater there. They have 24 daily choices on their menu for dining, so a large selection of different things. They had a heated saltwater pool that was kept at 82 degrees. They made me want to go in their pool. They seemed to have plenty of parking. They have short stays like respite care, so that looked nice. Everything was clean. The staff was very friendly. Everyone spoke to me as I came through and said hello. It seemed like a very welcoming place."

"We toured Ivy Park of Wellington - Laguna Woods, CA. The place looked really clean. There were a lot of events going on for the residents, including live music. There's also a nice library there. The staff seemed nice. They all said hello, and everybody seemed very welcoming."

"My mother has lived at Aegis for three years. The staff is caring and attentive. During this time of a global pandemic, Aegis Living of Laguna Niguel has ZERO suspected or confirmed virus cases. The General Manager, Eric M., runs a tight ship - carpets regularly cleaned, walls painted, furniture & decor updated. The staff is exemplary. My mother would have been overwhelmed in a large residence - Aegis provides a family environment & personalizes care plans depending on your loved ones needs. I'm so grateful to have found such a great place - my mother is safe, happy, and healthy. My mother has just moved from memory care to assisted living and is enjoying her larger closet, kitchenette with microwave, small refrigerator and sink. The building is circular with a protected courtyard - my mother loves doing her puzzle books in the courtyard while getting fresh air & sunshine. I can't say enough good about this place."

"My mom moved into Sea Bluffs. So far, I very much like the place. My mom's room was nice, but they had limited availability. It's very clean. My mom can take a shower on her own, and they didn't have any more rooms available that had their own shower, which is the only downside. So my mom is using the shower that they would use for somebody who requires assistance taking a shower. They pretty much keep people entertained most of the day. One of the things I like is that they do flower arrangements a couple of hours before dinner, and then once they're done, they use those flower arrangements as a table setting, so there are always fresh flowers at dinnertime on the table. They have a nice garden, and my dog is welcomed there when I go visit. It is the closest to my house, so it's easy to get to."

"I have toured Park Terrace and I liked everything about it. The rooms, the cleanliness, the atmosphere, it was a wonderful place. The staff was friendly, informative, and caring. They have a variety of things that they offer, and they have activities outside of the facility that you can take advantage of. Each apartment either had a patio or balcony, depending on the floor that they were on. The upkeep and cleanliness were excellent. They had a gym and salon, and they also had transportation and housekeeping. They offered everything that you want."

"We're now at San Clemente Villas by the Sea. My wife and I are perfectly healthy, and we just moved in because we're getting old. The facility is excellent. It's a nice location. The staff is wonderful. They're very caring and pleasant. The apartment itself is very nice. It's 600 square feet, and it's just big enough for two people. It's clean. They provide a theater, they provide an exercise room, they provide tours if you want to go on a tour, and they provide happy hours, so it's very good. The food is wonderful. They have a nice selection, and it's very healthy."

"Visited my brother several times. Each time the care was excellent. rooms clean, no odors, food was well prepared adn served on any schedule the clients waned or needed. visits before Covid 19 were in a clients room, out back, at the dining room able, living room sofa or easy chair. Television was audible but not a problem for conversations. Attendants and manager were cordial, very helpful, courteous to clients and visitors, and showed an expertise in assisting clients with mobility issues. Any questions were answered with courtesy and helpful information. Currently phone calls any normal time are welcome and uplifting to my brother. Activities other than visits, and television were not observed."
