We chose Capistrano Senior Living for the location and the price. It's affordable for us. It's a very nice facility. My dad is in their assisted living. They're very helpful and very attentive whenever I call. They answer right away. I have not tried their food, but my dad has, and he likes it. They seem to operate a lot of activities. The facility is very nice and very clean, and it's easy for my dad to get around. They have a room for physical activities, a salon, and a lot of social rooms.

What I like about Capistrano Senior Living is how friendly the staff are with one another. They have someone who was conducting happy hour where they had snacks laid out. This person runs some of the groups. He was very friendly. When he was introduced to me, he started singing to me. He had a great voice and then on the way out, he was conducting a group and he introduced me to the group. Also, my friend, who was with me, just thought that the ambiance was not a place where you just go to die. It was friendly and it was very clean. The one bedroom was not 100% of the space that I would have liked, but it was certainly a place where I could put my things and feel comfortable. I didn't taste the food but I was impressed with how clean the facility was and it smelled good. I liked the way the room was laid out. I always preferred to be on the first floor, but they had two elevators: one in front and one in back. The place they showed me was across the way from the back elevator. So, it would have taken me right down to the dining room, the meeting room, and every place that I would have needed to go. They take the mail to the person in their room. It was decorated very nicely for Halloween, but also for the fall in the lobby. My friend and I both liked it. Everybody seemed very friendly and willing to help. I was introduced to the nurse who told us that she had two teams: one that gave out medication if that was necessary and another one did procedures that needed to be done like changing, dressing, or something like that. I've been to other places that had nonrefundable deposits anywhere from $3500 to $6000. At Capistrano Senior Living, it was $2000. They explained to me that they would hold it for 30 days for $500. Then if I moved in, they would apply that $500 to that $2,000 and I would only owe $1500. So, it sounded like they were reasonable in their rates and it was a place close to where my grandchildren's school was, where they went. It was across the street from a shopping center that had one of the restaurants I ordered Doordash from.

I went to Capistrano Senior Living. The only thing that I was a little concerned about was the menu. I think that he might not like some of the food, like he's not a big hamburger eater, he's not a hotdog eater, he's not a big sandwich eater. I make stews for him, I make an omelet. I think I saw him eating some pretty good soup the other day, and he's not really much into the American way of eating. But I like the environment, a lot of people, and a lot of activities. And then they also have a snack area where you can go and get yogurts and other packaged snacks. There's a refrigerator on the second floor like a kitchen, and it's fully stocked with applesauce, pudding, and things like that. And then he can get bananas and fruits. Capistrano has a very family-oriented atmosphere. It was nice. Some of the other communities we went to see, they were like you didn't see anybody.

Capistrano Senior Living is the one that I like the best. It was very nice. I like the setup. I met the person who takes the residents around on different adventures and he was nice. Everything is clean, and you have a choice of different rooms. The dining area was very clean and had a nice setup. With regards to the rooms, you could have smaller or medium-sized rooms. It just depended on what you wanted, and they were all nice, clean, and well set up. The staff who gave the tour was very nice. Everybody that we met was nice.

I am now living in Capistrano Senior Living. They have three different sections, and I'm in the rehab facility. They have activities like flower arrangements and games. The staffs are wonderful men and women who are trying to help us get well. The food is very good. The rooms have a TV with internet. They do a really good job of trying to get people in here to do activities. They have a walking path outside, there's an outside patio and a gazebo. The walking path is easy to maneuver when you are in a wheelchair or a walker.

My mother is at Capistrano Senior Living. The people that has had direct interaction with her have been great. But it's hard because the residents that are in there have a lot of issues compared to her, so they're busy taking care of other people, and my mom is kind of left on her own. Her apartment is very comfortable, it's on the smaller side but she doesn't need a lot of room. She's got a great view of the horse stables, so there's motion and activity outside that she enjoys watching, so her room is fine. They have an activities room, there are several rooms that you can go in and just have a private visit. There also is a an enclosed beautiful patio outside. We can take out of the front door and take her on a walk around the area, there are lots of walking areas. There's also a calendar of activities. We're not totally sure it's the perfect fit for her, but for now, it's good for what it is.

I visited Capistrano Senior Living. It was very nice and pleasant. I loved it. It was very nice, and the staff was excellent. The place was beautiful. It was clean, and the rooms were very nice. My dad was going to get three meals a day. They had an activities director, and they took them on outings. Of all the places I've visited, this was a runner up. The building was very nice and very clean. The atmosphere was very friendly and clean; it was a nice place to live. They have a lot of veterans there.

It was in a more industrial area, and the grounds were not as landscaped beautifully as the other places. The staff members was also not as knowledgeable. I asked her questions, and she looked like she did not know her job very well. She's not quite as dynamic. The dining room was very nice, the food was good, and I had an excellent lunch. The rooms were larger, they had more space, and my mom loved the transportation. The clients were more engaged.

It looked good. The community was adequate. There was nothing wrong with it at all. The people who assisted us during the tour were very good, elcoming, warm, and knew their facility quite well. The dining area looked very inviting. The tables looked good, the furniture was nice, and the area was clean and welcoming.

It was fine, but it was pricier than the other place I visited. The rooms were fine. The women who gave us the tour were wonderful. The whole place was clean, and everything was great.

It was fine, but the rooms were smaller. The staff was very competent and very friendly. The location and grounds were very nice. We were told about the activities, which seemed very nice and plentiful. They had a whole list of daily activities.

It was fine, and it was good. Mom lived there before, but she was falling too much, and my sisters weren’t pleased. The food was fine, and they had a good chef.

If the person is in pretty good shape, it has lots of activities. I saw their activity book, and it’s a beautiful place. It used to be a Marriott Hotel and this is a hotel kind of feeling. It has a big dining room, and it’s really nice. I wish my husband could go, but I don’t think he would get anything out of it because he sleeps most of the time and just needs care, and I don’t think he’d get pleasure out of it. It’s so nice, it’s like a resort. I couldn’t say anything bad about it. They were all very polite, and everybody said “Hello”; they were just nice.

It was OK. The major drawback was the only room-size that they had available for a couple was 424 square feet, and that was way too small. It was good that it had three different steps, from assisted living, memory care to skilled nursing. They wouldn't have to go anywhere if there was an issue. They also had an in-house MD, and because they had skilled nursing in the same complex, they had RNs. The company did follow-up, and called once just to see how things were going; which was appreciated.

It didn't have cottages. The residents all lived in one building. They had a dementia area; which I didn't get into, but I saw the general assisted living area. It was very nice. It looked like the Marriott Hotel. There was one lady who had activities for them in the general area. When I first arrived, they were doing exercises, and the next they were doing some game. The dining area was very nice with beautiful tablecloths. I would recommend that one.

It was very open and very clean. It looked like a luxury hotel. It’s also close to my house. Those are the main things I like about this facility. They had a nice dining room and rooms. Eleanor, the girl who gave me the tour, knew her stuff. She answered my questions. The other staff also looked happy to be working there.

I only visited here once. I did like the place a lot, but it was a little bit big and not as cozy as the other place I visited, and they had more residents. It was very clean and newer looking. The residents' rooms were a little bit bigger than other places I visited. There were three selections for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and there were daily specials if something wasn't on the menu that they preferred. I only met one lady that gave me the tour who was very nice, but everybody seemed friendly. I really liked the rooms. When you move in, they repaint the whole inside and put in new carpeting. I saw one that was being done for a resident that was going to be coming, and everything was being cleaned and refurbished. The room had a walk-in closet and was spacious. It was just a little bit too far away from my father's doctors and things that he needs to see regularly.

Very nice, open facility. Room were bright and airy, and the staff was friendly. They knew all residents, and were helpful. They were patient with all residents, and went out of their way to assist. To get the full cost expectation, you need to assess the level of care necessary for each resident so they can price the help required. The food was very good, and my meal arrived quickly. Very nice to have skilled nursing facility attached.

She lived here for about a month, and it was fine. The place was very nice. We had a very good experience with them, and they took good care of us, but they were just too expensive.

I visited and it was fine. The staff was also fine and they gave enough information. The rooms were likewise fine. Their dining room was like a restaurant style and the food was OK. I would definitely recommend them to others.

I visited and it was very nice, though the price was a little bit high. They have a hotel atmosphere, and they have nice rooms. They're very clean. They're in a fairly nice area. What I liked about it, was they had a very active social calendar, and their food looked really good. It was very impressive. They had a lot of activities. They had like a charade. They had activities there like bingo, calisthenics, and wheelchair calisthenics and things like that.

It is like a large hotel, but we have our own apartments. We have a reception desk like a hotel. I have caregivers here and a housekeeper, they look after me and they have people 24 hours a day. We have a professional chef and we have a dining room. We also have a bus service.

It was very nice. If I needed that kind of a facility, I would definitely consider that. When I have to leave my place now, that's probably where I'll make an attempt to get into. They're also connected to a rehabilitation center. It's an attached building, so if you have any problems you'll have the services of doctors and things right there. It's in a location that's very nice. You could walk outside and feel safe. That's important to me because I like to walk, so I want a place where I'd feel safe walking.

My great aunt stayed here for several months while she was suffering from dementia. At the initial visit to the facility, I was very impressed with the common areas and the number of activities that they scheduled for residents. They even have a hair salon on site for residents. The caregivers seemed very kind to everyone. As my great aunt was suffering from dementia, she didn't want to socialize, but the caregivers continued to try to get her involved in activities as much as possible. They also made sure she would come to the dining room for her meals. When I would come to visit, they were always helpful to me and let me know if she needed anything. Emeritus is in a nice location in San Juan Capistrano near the Mission. They had a beautiful garden area outside where residents can enjoy the outdoors. Overall, I would say I was pleased with the care my great aunt received, especially with the personal attention she got from the caregivers.
