"My husband moved to MorningStar of Mission Viejo. The interior organization there, they communicate well with each other. The management style is excellent. They communicate well between each department, so it's a very soft touch, but they pay attention to the information about their clients. The facility is great. It's interesting. It's a small building. It's not one of the biggest, most extravagant buildings that I've seen, but the staff is great. The food is amazing. The food is excellent. They do a good job there. My husband is a little reserved. He's not quite interested in that part of things, but it looks like they have a lot going on. They have an outreach program where they're working with the Saddleback Emeritus programming, and they're introducing some classes at their facility through Emeritus."

"I chose Aegis of Dana Point for mom because of its location; it’s close to home. What I like about the facility is that they include their memory care patients in the whole population. They do take them for day trips. The staff are very caring and I always appreciate that they always had everyone out of their rooms. They are just wonderful. She has an apartment and it is very decorated nicely. The whole experience was very upbeat and it was just like mom was in a vacation. "

"I visited them. I found the staff friendly, and the place was very well decorated and clean. Their dining room was very inviting. They were having water color instructions at that time. I think I went at a slow time because there weren’t a lot of people moving around or anything; they were just resting. I think it was after lunch. They seemed to have a lot of activities; they have movie nights, and there always seemed to be somebody in attendance to help with anything."

"It was very nice. My godmother didn't like it as soon as they said they don't celebrate Christmas and they don't put up Christmas trees. The staff member who gave us the tour was really nice and friendly. The dining area was nice and clean. They served kosher food, and I think they had pizza and salad. The room sizes were decent."

"The Orchards Health Center was fine. Everything was really, really nice. One of the reasons that I didn't go with that is because I wanted to still be able to come back home, but it's more difficult for me in my wheelchair. I have an outdoor wheelchair that has a range of about 20 miles. I can get over there, no problem. However, I have to go over and cross underneath the highway, and to get up into the drive and everything, you have to go on to the actual street itself, and I just didn't really think that would be something I would like to do regularly. The place was nice. I didn't eat there or anything. I just took a tour. It was a lot more expensive because it obviously was an upper-scale place. The staff was very nice. Everybody was very pleasant. They showed me a studio, and it was very similar to the other place."

"We toured Ivy Park of Wellington - Laguna Woods, CA. The place looked really clean. There were a lot of events going on for the residents, including live music. There's also a nice library there. The staff seemed nice. They all said hello, and everybody seemed very welcoming."

"If we decided to go somewhere, I think it would be here. It's five miles from the house, so we wouldn't have to take all our clothes. Plus, it's a beautiful place, and you're sitting there looking at the ocean. The staff were very nice. We stayed in touch by email also. They showed us a one-bedroom apartment. It was pretty nice. They had a bunch of activities. They had a library, social gatherings, movies, and all kinds of stuff. Everything was just nice. We had a wonderful meal, too."

They have a lot of activities, but my wife does not participate; she's just resting. They have music from outside that comes and plays, they take them on tours and scenic drives, and they have physical activities.
