"I looked at Ivy Park of Wellington which seemed to be the one that would meet my loved ones needs the best. I liked that they had a system of tracking residents who wander so that they would be less likely to get lost. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The assisted living units were spacious. They allowed pets. The food was quite good. They had a bistro for snacks. They had a very nice library. There's plenty of parking."

"The Ivy at Wellington - Laguna Hills, CA was beautiful. It was very nice. We were very impressed. The tour was very helpful. They covered everything. The staff who accommodated us with the tour was very good. We looked at a one-bedroom-and-a-den apartment. They had physical therapy. They had all kinds of things. They had card games and arts. I didn't look at all of them, but I just saw that they were busy. They had a library, a courtyard, a swimming pool, and a gym. We had lunch there, and it was fine. Also, you can get your meals any time of the day. They're not regimented."

"The Regency is not as nice as the other facility I visited. I noticed that everybody was very busy. They weren't quite as personable since Laguna Woods is extremely busy. The rooms there are not quite as bright and clean looking. They may well be clean and very nice, but they don't appear to be quite as bright. Some of the buildings are older, and the paint is a little dark. "

"My daughter and I fell in love with this community. It was awesome. We had a wonderful tour. The rooms were huge. I just couldn’t remember if they had a refrigerator, not that I would need one. But they have a cooktop and a kitchen sink. I was excited about the meals even though I don’t know all of the courses. The dining room looked gorgeous. The staff did very well in accommodating us. They have bingo, a lounge room where you can watch tv with nice big chairs and a book room where you can read and meditate. I recommend this place. "

"It was a beautiful facility. Everybody was active. They had different activity rooms. A bus also took the residents to different places. A chef ran the dining area and the food looked fabulous. It was like a hotel. But the place was not suitable for my mom's needs. They also had additional charges for additional services. "

"My visit was very pleasant at Park Terrace. I thought it was very nice. It had a very pleasant layout. There was a lot of acreage. The people and the dining room seemed very nice. I think the dining room was spacious, as I recall. No complaints about it at all. "

"We toured the Pacifica Senior Living South Coast's memory care unit. Their facility was a little more constrained, less open, and less of an area to live your life, I guess. The staff who assisted us during the tour was very cooperative and open enough to answer questions. The room we saw was very nice-looking and clean, but one thing we did not like about it was that it had a shared bathroom."

"My mom is in here. The staff is great and very helpful. So far, everything's been going really well. The place is clean as a whistle, no foul odors, and absolutely as good as it gets. You can order what you want, and the food is pretty good like in a restaurant. They have all kinds of activities, from day trips, to taking you to the market and assisting you with your needs. Everybody's friendly and they seem to be going out of their way to make it the best experience for my mother. It's a great place to live."

"It's a good facility. There are various selections of rooms to pick from - studios, one bedroom, and two bedroom. We got the two bedroom one for grandma and grandpa. They use one room to sleep in and one room as the reading/work room. The living room has a sofa and TV, and the kitchenette has a simple stove and a small refrigerator. Chores are included in the monthly payment; everything from cleaning to taking out the trash is taken care of. There are numerous amenities in the facility, including a thermostat and a balcony. Central to all the units is a courtyard. Residents can swim or just lounge around in one of the chairs. There's also an exercise facility on site as well as a library. If residents want to leave the facility, there is a transportation vehicle that will take them to the grocery market, doctor, etc, as long as the location is within a certain mile radius. For a monthly cost that is under $3000, we think that this is an affordable, nice place for my grandparents to spend their last years. "

We were ALWAYS made aware of any concerns or steps taken on my dad's behalf. We completely trust the integrity of the leadership and staff. The Meridian has been a safe harbor in our maiden voyage through my father's "golden years"....(Highest recommendation!)"

"We have selected Rowntree Gardens. They have beautiful outdoors and a really caring caretakers and staff. The staff is very efficient, very nice, know your names, very polite, and very caring. The rooms are really nice, large, have a sunroom, and a great view of the garden. The food is good, plentiful, and a lot of variety in the menu. They have a lot of activities, so there's something going on all the time. They have a lot of entertainment, computer classes, art classes, writing classes, and sports things like shuffleboard. They have a hospital here, a Gardens memory care, and a church. They have everything covered here."

"After my father passed away, my brother and I started looking for a facility for my mother to spend her remaining years. After visiting several places, we found Walnut Village in Anaheim, Ca. Our mother has been a resident now for 5 years. It is a first class facility....that is no exaggeration. It is truly the quality of Celebrity Cruise Line on land. From the staff, the cleanliness, the dining room which looks like a 5 star restaurant that has menu items like Filet, Scampi, and beautiful salads and even a salad bar. To the piano lounge with "Happy Hour" every night. Residents can bring their own drinks or use "wine lockers" there. They offer various types of assisted living services including an entire memory care unit. The facility has a very unique way in determining the monthly fee you pay. The facility even has church services on site for various denominations as well a full exercise programs, library, arts and crafts room and even on-site hair salon. An underground parking garage is there for residents who drive. They have a shuttle that takes residents to appointments, shopping and even a day trip monthly to Pechanga Casino and wine country. Everything is included so no money is ever exchanged. 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms are offered and cleaning and daily nurse visits are provided. It is right near Disneyland so the residents can enjoy the nightly fireworks. If you want your loved one(s) in a first class living facility, Walnut Village is it!!"

"Corona RCFE was very nice, and the people were very friendly. The grounds were good. The room is perfect for my mother who is 92. She just needs a room with a little bed, a chair, and a TV. That's all she needs. It looks like she can go out and go to the dining room area, and things like that, and they have those things available too. The staff who helped me was very friendly and answered all the questions. She was very good. I didn't sample the food, but the dining area was fine. For activities, they have a little room where people can go and they can meet with each other and play games and so on, so that's fine."

"My mother is here. They have a gym, they have theaters, then they have concerts. They have a lot of stuff, and they have a schedule. They even take them out and go shopping, so they get transportation to go shopping. They're able to go in and out whenever they want. They don't need to ask for permission, it's enough to let them know that they're going to be gone for a while. Her room is very nice. It looks like an apartment, and it's a two-bedroom, so she can have somebody there with her. But she has the master bedroom, a walk-in closet, and her own bathroom. Then they have another bathroom and another room. Then they have the living room, balcony, and a little kitchen with a counter, sink, and a refrigerator. It's a really nice place. We're actually happy and she's happy there."
