"It is a very nice facility and the only reason why we didn't go with this one because it was far. Their halls were nice and wide so it didn't feel cramped in the hallways. It's very well lit. Carpets were out. It looks like a very upscale hotel. The staff was very friendly. The walls in the hallways had this bar that people can hold on and the bar looked like an art decor. It was really nice. The rooms were large. They had a device were they would put something on the senior citizens so that if they fall and they stay on the floor too long, it will start beeping the front desk and that was a very nice feature. If you're sick the meals will be brought to your rooms. They have a movie room where you go in and all the chairs were like a movie theater style, very nice. I really like that aspect. "

"The Leonard on Beverly was beautiful. It's wonderful, but it's too far away. My daughter lives in Burbank, and it took over an hour to drive there, so that wouldn't work for us. It was brand new, and it had beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces. The rooms were fine. The staff was very helpful and very friendly."

"Beverly Hills Carmel Retirement Hotel is a five star facility. Staying in this facility is like staying in a hotel. The staff members are cheerful, welcoming and full of energy. The facility is well decorated and clean. Loved ones are well taken care off. This facility is five out of five and I would hifgly recommend. "

"Sparr Heights Estates Senior Living is going through some remodel phase, but it was nice just the way it is right now. The rooms were nice. We walked around the facility and I was shown Jack and Jill rooms, grandma rooms and grandpa rooms, and the styles. It's a nice facility. I met the nurse that's in charge there and I spoke with some of the assisted living staff. There are two different sections. They have the memory area as well, and I met their staff, too, and they were nice. They were setting up one of the rooms for a birthday celebration. In the assisted area, they were having lunch, and it looked like they were enjoying their lunch. They made cupcakes for them and the staff gave me some cupcakes, which are very tasty, very nice, and decorative. They gave you the option of the different parts of the facility for assisted living or mental healthcare. They have to be evaluated whether or not they'll be on either side. There were two separate sections at that facility. If both of my parents were to go there and one had to be in the assisted living part, then one would live on one side and one on the other. With the capacity that my father's at, I think they could stay together. They would evaluate that, but they do have that option. They talked about still having them come together and working with both of them at the same time. They had a lot of activities there for them, bingo, puzzles, and books. It's a large facility. It was nice and the rooms were nice, also. It's a beautiful facility."

"It was a very clean place. The food was great. The pastries and the dessert were fine. The rooms were huge, and that's a plus. Regarding the staff, they were very friendly people. They have a lot of activities. They even have a computer room which nobody else has. They have lots of other amenities. It was a very beautiful place. I would recommend this place to anybody. I was really impressed with the building and the food. The room looked like a home. From the outside, it didn't look like an apartment. There was lots of room. "

"Recently, I toured Astoria Park Senior Living while visiting a friend there. It’s an intimate, uplifting community with warm, friendly and very helpful staff, along with happy-looking residents. The living spaces I saw were spacious and clean, and the public areas were well-tended and contemporary. I enjoyed dining with my friend; the meal was delicious. I was impressed that the chef stopped by to personally check on us. . The selection of daily activities, social events, a work-out area and craft center were exciting and impressive. I felt very safe and cozy at Astoria Park. It’s definitely on my list as I consider active senior living options near neighborhood amenities."

"The facility is very nice and well maintained. The staff is very professional and ready to help out at any moment. They offers many different activities for residents to enjoy and manage to create a very nice environment for residents. The apartments are fairly nice and appear to be a nice place to live. The facility provides a well equipped gym for member. The area surrounding the buildings is nice and very charming. Residents appear to be comfortable and happy with the environment which is always a good sign. Residents have said the staff is very good and ready to help out. One problem I have heard is the facility could be cleaner, though it seems that it is fairly well taken care of. Over all it appears to be a nice place and some residents appear to be happy there. It isn't the perfect place to be but from what I have heard it isn't too bad. "

"Palm Court Retirement Living was an excellent place. The apartment was nice with a kitchenette, an elegant bedroom, a dining room, and a nice bathroom. It had a lot of creative amenities. It had a piano room, a TV room, an arts and crafts room, a gym, and a dining room for special activities aside from the common everyday dining room. The entire place was clean and nice. "

"I like everything I saw at Pasadena Highlands. It's beautiful. I'm interested in a studio unit. The rates are affordable, and that's an important thing to give it a high rating. The people in the lobby seemed to like it and enjoy it. There's so much going on. There's a restaurant-like dining room, too. The landscaping is marvelous. We went out and sat out and spent time there. There were people who were living there who did not need total care, and they were coming and going. And it's accessible to parking and visiting. I was surprised that there is something this lovely that is close. The staff is wonderful. They're kind and patient. We took up a lot of their time with questions and getting to see the place. The tour was very efficient. I was very impressed with that. It had everything there that I wanted, so that's why I settled on them. The other thing is that it's clean. I would highly recommend it."

"I toured Westmont of Culver City. The facilities are very new. It is very nice, clean and organized. It looks like there's a lot of space, and the staff seems to be quite professional. The staff members were very responsive, too. They greeted us quickly and they took care of us. They seemed very helpful and professional. They offered us some snacks and drinks, but we didn't take any. The atmosphere felt okay but it felt like a shopping mall. The layout of the rooms was very modern. There are wide hallways and high ceilings, so it felt very open."

"I didn’t see many residents at The Park, and I’m looking for my aunt who is a very social person. The building itself seemed much older and not as fancy. I loved the grounds, it was beautiful, and it has a nice garden area. It’s more of an apartment style. The few residents that I saw didn’t seem as alert, talking, and aware. The rooms she showed were not as nice and fancy, and this was the same for the dining area. "
