"I will most likely be staying at The Ivy at Wellington. I just felt it was a nice place to be. It's month to month, so you're not obligated for 6 months or a year with a lease. The apartments were very lovely. They were very nice sizes. I'll be moving into a 2-bedroom; one was the bedroom, and then the other was a den which was a smaller room. You could put a sleeping couch in the den. The bedroom was a nice size. You would get 3 meals a day, and the food was OK. I had a hamburger and fries. The staff was very cordial, very sweet, and very helpful."

"It is very nice facility, but only a small part of it was assisted living and the rest of it was more of an independent living. The rooms were of good size. They have a beautiful dining and living room. It was spacious, clean, and modern. The staff were very accommodating and very straight forward about what they can and couldn’t do. "

"The Regency is not as nice as the other facility I visited. I noticed that everybody was very busy. They weren't quite as personable since Laguna Woods is extremely busy. The rooms there are not quite as bright and clean looking. They may well be clean and very nice, but they don't appear to be quite as bright. Some of the buildings are older, and the paint is a little dark. "

"Park Terrace is a clean and a well-managed facility. It was better than any other ones I have seen. It's a memory care facility. They have 4 buildings and 10 patients per building with 2 nurses for the 10 patients. The way they have it designed, it's 1 building with 10 rooms that are basically in the circle. The living area and kitchen area is right in the middle so when it's time to eat they walk out of their room and they are standing in the kitchen. There are no hallways, and that makes it a lot easier for the residents. It's expensive, but I think it's worth it. Their rooms are about 500 square feet, no kitchen, but it has a handicapped bathroom. So far the staff seem good, and I would recommend this facility. "

"It was a very good facility. It was very close to the house and our church. My husband was impressed with it so we chose it. The staff was very friendly. They all knew my name and they were extremely nice. They had nurses to give me my pills and took my blood pressure. I had a hospital bed because I required one and I had a big room with a kitchen and a bathroom. The food was excellent; we had a dining room and we could pick what we wanted from a menu. I stayed there for a month before I went home. They have a lot of activities and it’s a very social place. "

"Atria has proved a godsend for my family. Knowing that my family member is being looked after and well cared for as much as possible - specially during Covid- gave me a lot of peace of mind. It is the kind of care that cannot be provided for at home 24 / 7. All the staff that I have met there so far over the last four years have been wonderful. "

"I thought the moving my dad in was going to be hard just because its a new environment but my dad adapted very well and that was because the staff welcomed him with open arms as if they had already met him before. "Park Plaza just had my mother-in-law written all over it. It's very jazzy, upbeat, positive, very clean, and roomy. We just knew she'd like it. They have showering assistance, taking down the bed assistance, all kinds of activities from religious, to card playing, to exercise, a dining room, a courtyard, and on-call assisted nurses. "

"My parents are at The Meridian at Anaheim Hills. It is independent living, assisted living, and memory care all in one facility. It is a very nice place. The lobby and the dining room are all very well appointed. The sales staff was very helpful and very caring. The people at the front desk are very nice. The residents seem to be very friendly to my parents. My parents are in the independent living. They're in a fine little apartment. "

"Corona RCFE was very nice, and the people were very friendly. The grounds were good. The room is perfect for my mother who is 92. She just needs a room with a little bed, a chair, and a TV. That's all she needs. It looks like she can go out and go to the dining room area, and things like that, and they have those things available too. The staff who helped me was very friendly and answered all the questions. She was very good. I didn't sample the food, but the dining area was fine. For activities, they have a little room where people can go and they can meet with each other and play games and so on, so that's fine."

"I know a couple of people who have had family members at Walnut Village or somebody that I know who is there right now, and I really like this place. But one of the drawbacks was that I know I was going to get resistance from my aunt about the cost. Telling her, “Okay, you are going to have to come up with like $200,000 to move in,. I just didn’t think that I was going to get her to understand that. The second thing was that I wanted to keep her near her doctors, and I wanted to keep her closer to where she used to live; although Walnut Village was more convenient for me, it wasn’t convenient for her. It was a very nice place and also maybe a little large. "

"Rowntree was nice. They had very good grounds, and they also had a picnic area which was impressive to me. They had two restaurants, and they had fireplaces. The restaurant area was cozy and homey. The staff also contributed to the homey type of environment. They had activities, and they had some nice little common areas which were also impressive. "
