Right now, a lot of things are still limited or shut down because of COVID, but they had a library for the residents, a music room, card tables, a little room where they can have live entertainment, and a pool."

"Mom is very satisfied living here. She's been living there for six weeks now. It has a very comfortable and homey kind of environment. Mom has a nice, large one-bedroom, and it too feels comfortable. The staff has been great so far. They are very accommodating and caring. The food seems to be very nice and well prepared. I really like the facility, and I like the people that I met. It's also close to us and close to the hospital. "

"My husband moved to MorningStar of Mission Viejo. The interior organization there, they communicate well with each other. The management style is excellent. They communicate well between each department, so it's a very soft touch, but they pay attention to the information about their clients. The facility is great. It's interesting. It's a small building. It's not one of the biggest, most extravagant buildings that I've seen, but the staff is great. The food is amazing. The food is excellent. They do a good job there. My husband is a little reserved. He's not quite interested in that part of things, but it looks like they have a lot going on. They have an outreach program where they're working with the Saddleback Emeritus programming, and they're introducing some classes at their facility through Emeritus."

"We toured Crestavilla. The facility was very nice. We had lunch there. It was very good."

"It was a very good facility. It was very close to the house and our church. My husband was impressed with it so we chose it. The staff was very friendly. They all knew my name and they were extremely nice. They had nurses to give me my pills and took my blood pressure. I had a hospital bed because I required one and I had a big room with a kitchen and a bathroom. The food was excellent; we had a dining room and we could pick what we wanted from a menu. I stayed there for a month before I went home. They have a lot of activities and it’s a very social place. "

"We went to look at Atria Golden Creek. We liked everything there. But the feel of it seemed too dark. It wasn't light, bright, open, and airy. The hallways were much like a Vegas hotel. They were very long. And for someone in assisted living, going down long hallways wasn't a good choice. The rooms were nice. They had a patio off of them, and it was along the creek, which was nice. The staff was great, very knowledgeable, and helpful. He said if we had questions, even when we went to other places, we were free to call them back."

"Park Terrace is a clean and a well-managed facility. It was better than any other ones I have seen. It's a memory care facility. They have 4 buildings and 10 patients per building with 2 nurses for the 10 patients. The way they have it designed, it's 1 building with 10 rooms that are basically in the circle. The living area and kitchen area is right in the middle so when it's time to eat they walk out of their room and they are standing in the kitchen. There are no hallways, and that makes it a lot easier for the residents. It's expensive, but I think it's worth it. Their rooms are about 500 square feet, no kitchen, but it has a handicapped bathroom. So far the staff seem good, and I would recommend this facility. "

"Serra Sol Memory Care didn't look like an institution. It was modern looking. The staff was so attentive. They showed me the rooms. I like the room. We already picked out a room for my husband, and I liked the amenities that they offered. It's memory care. It's new, it's only about a year old. We did meet the chef, and he seems to want to cater -- in fact, my husband's Hungarian. And he asked my husband, What kind of food do you like? And my husband says, Hungarian. And he says, " Oh, I'll have to get some recipes." So I was impressed with the chef. It was so clean with no smells, no odors at all. They had large outdoor living spaces for visiting. You can visit anytime, day or night. Another thing I loved about the place, at least five days a week. They take the residents out in the van and they'll either go to the beach or go somewhere, or even if they just drive around. So in the afternoons they get them out, they just don't let them stay there, not just have to stay there all day long. I put a deposit on a room and they hold that particular room for 30 days. So now I have to go to the doctor. He has to have the doctor fill out forms. They're going to send a nurse out to the house to evaluate him. And they haven't made that appointment yet, but they'll be doing that shortly. He doesn't have to go there. They'll come to our house and evaluate his condition."

"It was fine, but it was pricier than the other place I visited. The rooms were fine. The women who gave us the tour were wonderful. The whole place was clean, and everything was great. "

"If we decided to go somewhere, I think it would be here. It's five miles from the house, so we wouldn't have to take all our clothes. Plus, it's a beautiful place, and you're sitting there looking at the ocean. The staff were very nice. We stayed in touch by email also. They showed us a one-bedroom apartment. It was pretty nice. They had a bunch of activities. They had a library, social gatherings, movies, and all kinds of stuff. Everything was just nice. We had a wonderful meal, too."

"The Fountains at Sea Bluffs was beautiful. The person who gave us a tour was very nice, very informative, and spent a lot of time with me. I was just off the cuff and made the phone call and they were able to accommodate me immediately. The dining room was also beautiful. The food looked nice and smelled great because I was there when they were doing a big snack thing and it was nice."
