"My mom stayed at The Covington. It was a small facility with 24 beds and really good people working in therapy. The nurses and everyone were nice. Everything was good there. They had large bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. They only had 24 rooms, so you received pretty good attention. The nurses-to-patient ratio was good. The food and care were good. They really knew their patients. The place itself was really pretty and located up on a hill. My mom's window had a nice view of plants, trees, flowers, and things down the hill. The other thing was that all the rooms appeared to have big-screen TVs, recliners, and comfortable furniture. They went around a couple of times a day with a coffee cart of snacks and things. They would also come by with videos and books to read or watch movies if you wanted to. They were very good. "

"My father has been at Merrill for almost a year. We couldn't be happier. Staff is great. Food is terrific. Accommodations are very nice. The residents really look out for each other and it feels like a community. We researched a lot of facilities before landing here, and we are so glad we did. Thank you to all the staff that work so hard to accommodate a lot of demanding residents. "

"I'm in the process of getting my mom into Inland Christian Home, Inc. I liked that it was very clean. It was very nice that they recently remodeled, so everything was nice. I liked that it's a one-story building. Their pricing was pretty competitive overall, in comparison to other facilities. I also liked the fact that they were a little bit more flexible and accommodating as far as visiting time. Their medication management was included at no extra cost. It was part of their care package. You would pay for the room but you also would have to pay for the level of care. So, I didn't feel like they would nickel and dime you, like extra for this, extra for that. There's not going to be a surprise. I also liked the fact that they are Christian-based and they're a nonprofit. So, they care about their patients and encourage them. I saw their menu and it looked pretty good and pretty healthy."

"I have been a resident since May 2016. The freedom to continue my enjoyment in the way I pursue happiness didn't diminish but was enhanced by the Transition. Day to day one selects from many options what to think about and what activity to engage in.. Staff is concerned with your well being, and at the same time allow for alternative choices. Its been stated we the residents are on a stationary cruise ship. steady, unsinkable, and based on a moral foundation. From the maintenance crew, grounds keeping, housekeeping, food service, activities to administration all are in harmony on the same page to provide what can be described as A Heavily Earth... "

"Mt. San Antonio Gardens was really nice. I liked it a lot. We talked to a resident and the security guard who told us about all the different activities, which sounded like a lot. They have Bingo and day trips where they take people shopping. They take people on different field trips or on little outings. They have a nice cafeteria, a library, a gift shop, a music room, one-bedroom apartments, and they have separate houses for independent living. We saw the dining room. It seemed more like a resort area."

"Pilgrim Place residents bond over a common mission of peace, justice, and care for the earth, and live out this commitment in a variety of ways, both individually and communally. Many residents have had careers in helping professions such as teaching, non-profits, and ministry. This caring spirit continues through active engagement in planning educational and social events, and serving on governance committees that benefit the overall life of the community. In addition to making wonderful friends, I love using the Pilgrim Place Aquatic Fitness Center, having studio space at Pendleton Arts Center, and borrowing books from the Library. Sitting at lunch with a different group of people each day means that I get to know everyone in the community. Most of all, I'm grateful that I entered the community in my 60's so that I can enjoy all the opportunities at the nearby Claremont Colleges and the downtown Claremont Village, in addition to everything at Pilgrim Place."

"Hillcrest was beautiful, and the layout was absolutely gorgeous, but they have an expensive buy-in. It was nice, clean, and modern. They have a friendly staff. They have a one-bedroom and den. It was just beautifully laid out with a dining room, living area, and a kitchenette. It was a washer and dryer, and it has its own balcony as well. They have barbecues, buses, and outings. "
