Continuing Care Retirement Communities Communities in Aliso Viejo, CA

"We live in a retirement community. We are at the Fountains. We've been here for 10 years. We looked around at many other places, and this is the one we liked the most. This is a very friendly place. The problem is they're extremely expensive, and they keep raising the price every year. I have an apartment. It's a 2-bedroom condo with 2 bathrooms. We have a main dining room. I own the place. We have a lot of activities. We have exercises, lecturers, and entertainers. The utilities and the maid service are all included in the monthly fee. "

"I was impressed with Walnut Village. It's sheer perfection. I would've been very happy going there, but it just wasn't time for me to go into that kind of a facility. The person during the tour was charming, very knowledgeable, and very pleasant. He made it sound like it would be wonderful. The dining area was like going to a very fancy restaurant. It was really a nice place. They also have a little coffee shop. I saw one woman working out in the gym with a trainer. Everybody was so pleasant and so happy. It's a lovely place."

"My mom is in Rowntree Gardens. It's beautiful, one of the nicest places in that area. They have a huge garden area. They have a library, a fitness room, a TV area, and a big, huge dining area. Rowntree Gardens is very big. They have a schedule of activities that you can go to. She has a list of things that she can go to. When she first started, she enjoyed the different activities. They have different areas, when she goes to see the doctor, they have a whole wing for PT, doctor visits, and things like that."

"We went to Artesia Christian Home. Everybody there was very nice. I, personally, would recommend it. It was a little bit out of my price range, but she still might end up there. The staff was very knowledgeable and very understanding. They helped me because I did not really know what I needed. They had an activity rooms. It was an older facility, but they had a new part. They had small rooms, but in the newer section, the rooms were bigger and a lot nicer. The older section was old. They now had memory care, which they were building. They also had duplexes there. I thought they were great. "

"I loved The Covington. The unit was fabulous and it had a nice view. Everything was nice. I just didn't like the food. The girl that showed us around was very nice. They had very nice activities and a nice facility for people that needed to be in a hospital room. Everything was great except the food. We were almost ready to go there, but after being there for my rehab, I was not too fond of the food at all. I lost 20 pounds. The apartment was wonderful. It was freestanding and it had a single car garage. Those were beautiful apartments and you could have two or three bedrooms. They brought in dogs and they did tricks, and I'm a dog lover, so I enjoyed it. The doctors were very nice. They tried very hard to find something I could eat, it just never happened."

"I visited The Tower on 19th's senior apartments. It is 18 stories, but every time I've gone in there, it's very clean and very quiet. I never heard a lot of noise, and I didn't see a lot of people. The senior community and the people that you meet there seem to be friendly. It's not an assisted living facility, and you have to be independent to be there. They have laundry in the building, and whatever floor you're on, they have a trash chute that goes down to the basement. They have a library and a place where they have a piano. The staff members are pretty good and very helpful. They tried to help me as much as they could. The apartments have kitchens in them, so they don't have food provided at the place."
