"I liked the friendliness of the people and the employees in Coastal Heights. The one thing I hated was that the rooms were so tiny, and they only have one bedroom. The staff was great, though, and their food was very good. It's well maintained. The rooms were so tiny. The atmosphere was very nice."

"Walnut Village was very nice and we were still considering them. They're accessible from where we are. It was a little bit close to Disneyland. They have nice facilities inside but the surrounding neighborhood was a little bit more crowded. The staff was all good. They were very helpful. They gave us all the information and responded to us. We had lunch there and it was all presented very well, but I think it wasn't enough. We noticed that they were small portions. The facility was upscale, but kind of an older community, so things were not quite up-to-date. They had a bistro, which was more like a soda shop/bar, and a regular restaurant, too. The facility was clean."

"I went to Rowntree, and it was very pretty. From what I understand, it is probably best for somebody who can start out in independent living then they can get the long-term care, but my parents are farther along. The staff seemed OK; I was just there for a brief time. It looked safe and secure. I liked the beauty of it; the gardens were very beautiful. "

"My parents are at The Meridian at Anaheim Hills. It is independent living, assisted living, and memory care all in one facility. It is a very nice place. The lobby and the dining room are all very well appointed. The sales staff was very helpful and very caring. The people at the front desk are very nice. The residents seem to be very friendly to my parents. My parents are in the independent living. They're in a fine little apartment. "

"I toured Oakmont of Huntington Beach. My mom liked the property a lot, so she's interested in getting on their waiting list. She's not quite ready to move in now, but for the future. It was independent living through assisted living, and they have a memory care center, too. It's a beautiful property with gorgeous gardens. The woman who gave us the tour was very knowledgeable and nice. She listened to my mom and what her needs were. The apartments were very spacious. There are a lot of really fun activities from workout classes to art classes, a lot of music, and lots of activities to do. The food looks really good, and the menu was impressive. It was immaculate, very well up-kept, and new. The staff was knowledgeable, nice, and warm. She was great, answered lots of questions, was very informative, and was very caring. A very nice person."

"This is a nice facility. They offer studios, one bedroom, and two bedroom places. The person I visited picked a one bedroom place, as she lives by herself but she likes to host guests so having the living room separate from the bedroom is nice. There are plenty of amenities inside the location, including a kitchen, bathroom, and climate control. When a resident doesn't want to be independent, they can also rely on the services at the facility. The facility has a dining hall, which can serve special-order meals; this is helpful, especially for patients that have special conditions like diabetes. The facility also has transportation service, so it's possible for residents to get to the hospital or the grocery store without inconveniencing their friends or family. Their are also personal assistants assigned to groups of individuals that will help with daily tasks such as making sure medication is taking at the right time and in the right dosage, the rooms are cleaned, etc. Overall, it seems like my congregation member and the other residents at this facility are very happy. "

"Atria Newport Beach was a great facility. The staff was very knowledgeable and very friendly. The rooms were very nice, but smaller than what we were looking for. They had a great list of amenities. It's also very close to the beach. We were very impressed with the location and the amenities. When I toured it, they were doing some thing; but most of the stuff that they do were not going on because of COVID. The facility was brand new. It's really good."

"My aunt and uncle moved to Bayshire Yorba Linda. They can accommodate a lot of things. The grounds are kept clean and the atmosphere is very inviting. It was very spacious. It didn't seem like everything was kind of crammed in. The people that we met there were very helpful and very kind. We haven't run into any problems as far as helping my aunt and uncle. The food is very good. My uncle is not as social as my aunt. Even within memory care, they have a lot of activities to stimulate their brain, and to keep them busy. We've been very happy with the available activities. The value of memory care is awesome. It's pretty reasonable."

"I toured and I liked its cleanliness and their bigger rooms. When you enter their dining area, it's like a big restaurant. It was nice. The courtyard was very nice too. It's not that big, but it's pretty decent for the residents. It's a very welcoming place. The staff was also very nice. When we got there, the receptionist offered us some coffee or tea. We talked to Ryan and he was pretty knowledgeable on everything that's going on in the facility, and he's been offering a lot of help. He showed us a lot of rooms and my aunt was so overwhelmed by it. A lot of the rooms were still being renovated though. They're still in the process of changing the carpeting and all that, but I am pretty sure after everything is done, it's going to be beautiful."

"Capriana was very nice. I didn't eat there, but it looked like they had a pretty good variety. They had underground parking, which was nice, but they didn't have on-site extended care. Other than that, it was pretty convenient and in a nice location."

"We went to Westmont of Cypress. It was gorgeous. It's a brand-new community. One thing that I would have liked better is even though it was a shared room, it would have more of an individual bedroom, but it was way more expensive. What I didn't like also was the staff didn't seem as engaged. This was in the memory care section, and they didn't have a lot of room for Mom to walk around. She loves to go for walks and there was just a patio, so I didn't think that was appropriate, and there was a waiting list to get into the shared room. The person who took us on the tour was nice, but I was able to witness their activities director and she just seemed bored. They were doing a history lesson where they were talking about this day in history. She didn't seem all that engaging, like when I compared her to the activities director at the other place who's very excited to be with the residents. This person, it just seems like it's a job. She didn't care that much. They said they took them on walks but it's all street parking lot, so I don't know where they take them on walks."

"The Regency is not as nice as the other facility I visited. I noticed that everybody was very busy. They weren't quite as personable since Laguna Woods is extremely busy. The rooms there are not quite as bright and clean looking. They may well be clean and very nice, but they don't appear to be quite as bright. Some of the buildings are older, and the paint is a little dark. "

"I went here and the rooms are wonderful. They have a full kitchen, in the two-bedroom they have walk-in closets, they have a hall closet, storage area, and some beautiful views from the room. The staff is friendly, nice. We haven't had a meal there, but they serve three meals a day, they have staples and they have specials each day, so a nice variety, really a good selection, a good menu. There they have assisted, and independent, and to get assisted you have to live in the assisted part, so really it doesn't meet our needs. When you first enter, it's like going on to a cruise ship, the dining room is straight ahead with a beautiful view, and because it's up high, you enter on the fourth story, so it gives an ambiance of elegance. They provide a daily exercise program, they have a nice gym, and they provide outings, films, and other things."

"I looked at Ivy Park of Wellington which seemed to be the one that would meet my loved ones needs the best. I liked that they had a system of tracking residents who wander so that they would be less likely to get lost. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The assisted living units were spacious. They allowed pets. The food was quite good. They had a bistro for snacks. They had a very nice library. There's plenty of parking."
