Asbury Woods Senior Apartments

My mother is in Asbury Woods Senior Apartments. She is living in a two-bedroom apartment. It's a small community and it's close to her children. There's no staff there; they just had an apartment complex person and a maintenance man, and they've been great. They have one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. You have a kitchen, a dining room, a living room, a bathroom, and one or two bedrooms. They have laundry facilities in the hallway. They have an activity room. This is not an assisted living facility at all. It is a regular apartment complex. They will take the residents to the grocery store once a week. They have bingo. They have card games. During the holidays, at 10:00 in the morning, they would have a cookie, coffee, and tea event where you sign up and you bring two dozen cookies and you sit around, have coffee and tea, and just chat. They had choirs come and sing. They had a big Christmas dinner for all the residents. They do different craft activities throughout the month. There is a small section in the big activity room where there are bikes. It's quiet, it's nice, and everybody seems very nice. The staff has been very attentive. I've put in a list of three things that I asked to be done, and they were done within 12 hours. The apartment was very clean and freshly painted. New floors were put in. I don't know if my mom has participated in any activities yet. I hear people down there laughing when I walk down to check her mailbox.
